The first thing to remember is that the restaurant Is part of a winery. It does not succeed on its own. We ate lunch there on a mid-week day. The service was very relaxed, i.e. don't expect someone to come to you. We had reservations and waited 10 minutes for the host to come to the "wait here " podium. We then sat at our table for 15 mins. and finally flagged a wait person who was surprised that we hadn't been helped although she served tables on both sides of us and there were two wait persons for the restaurant. The food was good but very limited and rather expensive for lunch. We had the burger and soup of the day and the mushroom pasta. All well made. Add in two glasses of the winery wine and you're looking at a bill north of $125.
Excellent food, exceptional wine, lovely setting in the vineyards. Knowledgeable staff. Outstanding overall experience.
In the middle of nowhere, in a beautiful vineyard in Paso Robles wine country, is the best restaurant for 100 miles. The setting is spectacular, the food is inventive, delicious and well cooked, the service is perfect. For a 5 course tasting menu, the price is a relative value. The wines are really good and fairly priced. The only issue is getting there and, more important, getting home. But it's worth figuring it out. Truly a special place.
Please bring truffle fries back! I came all of the way from Shreveport, LA and was sad to find out there were no truffle fries!
excellent food and service. Reservation was accepted and a good table was located.
Lovely setting and ambiance. Good food, great service.
We love coming to Justin for a relaxing meal and some wine. Always a pleasure to visit the winery and meet their friendly staff :)
We had a lovely late lunch, followed with a tasting. I had not been back in several years, but I definitely won’t wait as long for my next visit! An impeccable setting with delightful food, wine, and exceptional service.
Paid over $500.00 for dinner for two with wine. Service was excellent, food was not worth the bother to go, small portions and not very good. Wine was OK but not worth the price charged.Would never go again or recommend to a friend.
Very nice patio with heaters. Food and service were very good. Wine was excellent. A nice experience.
We had a great time. The manager Timothy was great. Service by Mel was great. They made us feel special. We would love to go back!
One of our favorite places to dine in Paso Robles. Local California menu and always good.
Loved it. Food was outstanding.
Absolutely outstanding! Great wine, food and service! Amazing atmosphere! Loved it and can’t wait to go back!
If you are visiting the Winery, highly recommend eating lunch there. Service great, wines and food delicious! Cheeseburger with bacon and egg was the bomb! Great with glass of Malbec!
Myself and 2 girlfriends enjoyed a tasting and lunch on the patio over the past weekend. The tasting experience was great and the restaurant staff was very accommodating when we ran an hour past our original reservation after our tasting ran longer than we had planned. My friends shared the turkey sandwich and a chopped salad and were very happy with their choice. I however was disappointed with my lunch. I ordered the cheeseburger. I asked the server if their medium cooked burger was a true medium or if it leaned toward medium well. She said that they always come out pink throughout, so I went with medium. Unfortunately my burger not only arrived well done, but the patty as well as the bun were burnt to a crisp. Also, the burger does not come with a side, so we ordered a side of fries to share, which arrived cold. For $18.00 I was shocked that I also had to pay extra for fries.
I think I’ll choose another lunch spot next time in Paso Robles.
Service at our table was extremely slow with having to ask for items multiple times. The tables next to us had a different waitress and she was more attentive to her tables. We enjoyed our food and hopefully next time we have a better waitress.
5 course wine pairing dinner with friends. The food was great and the wine exceptional. There were only 10 people dining that night and our server, Rachel, was knowledgeable and wonderful. It was a very special evening and we would do it again.
Beautiful scenery. All the food was delicious and have no complaints. Of course the wine was outstanding. The only caveat was that the service was a bit slow to start, we waited roughly ten minutes for a server to greet our table and take our orders, but soon after we were greeted the drinks and the meal were delivered in a timely manner. The host, server assistant were very friendly and personable as well. Thank you all very much for a wonderful stay!
A little bit of a drive to get there but the restaurant at Justin exceeded my expectations. The setting was lovely, our server, Kirby, was perfect, just the right amount of service without hovering. This restaurant offers a fantastic prix fix wine pairing dinner and it was a delight.
The only advice is to designate a non drinking driver as the road is a bit long and deserted.
Incredible food and incredible experience. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing and it was phenomenal. Not cheap, obviously, but the experience overall was fantastic thanks to the food (from the new Chef Paul) and our waiter Kirby, who was an absolute gem.
Amazing service and food
Best of all... reserve wine selection was outstanding!!
After a wonderful experience a year ago the restaurant fell flat in this return visit. The dishes lacked the Wow factor and 4 of the 6 beef dishes had to be returned to the kitchen because they were served cold. The dessert was dry and lacked flavor. Could not have been more disappointed after I had built high expectations based on the year ago experience. Won’t be making that long dark drive again soon.
Don't miss it! Your trip to Paso Robles wine country must include a tasting at Justin and while you are there---brunch or another meal. Our brunch was outstanding! Had the blueberry pancakes as an appetizer. The kale salad with steak was amazing. Everyone loved the menu choices!! And of course, a glass or bottle of wine.
Really nice five-course meal with wine pairings. Every course was excellent! The wines at Justin are always good!
Loved our lunch at Justin Vineyards! Food and service were exceptional. The view and outdoor patio were lovely. Wine tasting was fun and the wines were also exceptional. Loved our time in Paso Robles. Will definitely go again.
Had another great lunch and great service once again from Mel!
Dined here twice. Both times disappointed. Food was ok....nothing special about their burger . Slow service. Not enough help. Won’t be back.
This is our second visit at this restaurant. The tasting menu is phenomenal. Would recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.
We were here on a little weekend getaway to go to a wedding and this was on our to do list, as we heard it was a nice winery to go to in Paso Robles .
We had a very delicious lunch and were very pleased with the whole experience.
We had brunch at Justin. The remodel of the winery and restaurant is very well done. Food was good and service superb.
Food was mediocre at best, good thing wine is worth it.
Our family enjoyed a lovely birthday lunch and walk around the restaurant garden area.
Relaxing and fresh and delightful service!
Great setting. Great food. Wife and I had a wonderful afternoon
Fantastic restaurant with serene, garden atmosphere against against a backdrop of vineyards. Food is excellent. Very limited choices but all delicious.
We made reservations at this restaurant a couple weeks ago on open table for lunch. When we got there they said they were closing for lunch and wouldn’t honor our reservations and time. The hostess was not professional and didn’t really care. What happened to customer Service and the customer is ALWAYS right? Needless to say we will not be back nor to the winery. We come to Paso a lot and won’t be back. Justin has always been one of our favorites. We had Friends with us that had never been there and wasn’t impressed as well with the experience.
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Justin where we enjoyed a delicious lunch and great wine! Our server was so sweet and helped us with the wine list as this was our first winery experience. Justin ranked at the top of most review sites I researched and that is why we chose them. My husband said it was the best burger he has ever eaten and that means a lot coming from the burger master himself. I highly recommend Justin Winery for a beautiful and romantic location to celebrate a number of occasions or just a quiet place to enjoy a tasty meal.
Lunch food was fine but not worth the price. Wine tasting server was incredibly attentive, waitress at lunch not so much. Beautiful setting as great wine though.
Completely fabulous. Many thanks for helping us celebrate our 31st anniversary!
First time to Justin and our first time to the restaurant. The food was excellent, and the staff was friendly, courteous, attentive and helpful. We had a great time, and we all enjoyed our meals very much.
