The Restaurant at JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery
Lunch and brunch are served a la carte and while reservations are recommended, walk-ins are welcome.
The dinner menu is prix fixe and features seasonally-inspired dishes crafted by the Culinary Team at JUSTIN. Reservations are required. The experience is both intimate and complex, and we ask that guests be 12 years of age or older. Please inform us of any food allergies prior to dining.
Please call the concierge to inquire about our NEW shuttle service from the Downtown Tasting room to the Restaurant at JUSTIN at the Estate. This service is available for our 6:30pm seating only.
Wonderful time at Justin's restaurant for lunch and a flight. We both had an amazing Avocado Toast with duck back on and fried egg. My friend had the icon red flight with Tempranillo, Malbec and Cabernet. It was wonderful with the meal. I had the Savignon, Chardonnay and Viognier. Everything was right about these whites, no oak! We also had the cheese plate and Rose to finish off. The grounds we're lovely and floral. Our service was exceptional and I would highly recommend.
After a very enjoyable tour of the winery four of us had lunch at The Restaurant, on the terrace. We ordered a bottle of the wine we most liked during our tour (Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2016.) Two ordered the special pasta dish that was very much appreciated, one ordered the impressive cheeseburger, and I ordered the ok grilled naan with dips. The whole experience was extremely agreeable. Two of our group are Wine Society members and come back for frequent visits.
Great ambiance wonderful service, but the food was not up to the quality of the place. We had an incredible cheese platter to start. One of out party had the mexican egg dish which she said was a 7/10. The rest of us had the burger. The staff said it was the best burger around, but that must mean not very good burgers in the area. I ate here 5 years ago and the food was amazing. The chef is different, but for a $25 burger it should have been great. Also, major issue with yellow jackets on the patio, would recommend sitting in doors. I will go back once more to see if they can redeem the food quality, since it is very pretty settting.
Celebrate life with friends
Nice place aesthetics wise. Server talked too much - mostly about himself. Main course was awful - steak was atrocious.
I would absolutely recommend this restaurant! From the minute we stepped in and we’re greeted by our waiter, Kirby, we knew we had something special in store. The food was exquisite and the wines perfectly paired. We felt as though we were dining in someone’s home. There were only a handful of tables, so we felt so lucky we were able to get reservations. We can’t wait to go back!
Exquisite wine pairings, creative food, and stellar service made an unforgettable evening.
The dishes on their lunch menu have dramatically improved over the last three years, and they are now outstanding! I've had the summer salad, burger, pork, and other entrees, which are all amazing. It's insanely pricey, but hey, it's a popular winery in Paso Robles.
It was wonderful. We enjoyed the evening in the memory of a very dear friend.
The food was excellent and the wine pairing was extraordinary. The only other comment is that the portions for both food and wine were a bit too generous but I guess that for most people that is a positive. The shuttle is an excellent idea for those who don’t want to drink and drive especially on those sinuous roads to the vineyard. The driver was very helpful in providing historical comments and suggestions for things to do around Paso Robles. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
The food was excellent. We both enjoyed their Chilaquiles very much. We did not have wine with the meal, but they serve excellent coffee. The real deal. Service was professional and efficient. The outdoor setting is the way to go on a late Summer day because it's a beautiful place to enjoy a meal.
Lovely patio dining with annoying flies and a bee that wouldn’t stay away from my plate.
Our meal was the only food my husband had that day. He got extremely sick later that night. I was fine. We had different entrees. I had one small bite of his. Maybe just s coincidence but he NEVER gets sick.
Beautiful outdoor brunch. Best chilaquiles I’ve had! Service was wonderful and quick, and it was just a lovely setting.
Celebrating my husbands birthday. Our waitress was wonderful. Best ever.
Great place for a nice meal and great wine!
We went to Justin for a tasting and lunch. The grounds are beautiful. The food and wine were excellent. Friendly service. A little pricey but I expected that from a larger, well known winery. Definitely worth it for a first timer!
Greeted by lacking in congeniality negative older man (definitely should not be interacting with the public as the face of Justin) who initially soured our experience. But Timothy and restaurant servers were outstanding and Timothy provided transportation to the members lounge after brunch for our Winetasting appointment.
The restaurant is in a beautiful space. I was disappointed that there was a large party next to our table that was filled with children that were running around and screaming. No one seemed to make any attempt to quiet them down. Ive been here a few times and have never had that issue.
The food was very tasty but I would not say it was excellent. I had the Chilaquiles dish that had good
flavor but the chips were soggy and mushy. The wine did not disappoint which is why we were all there. The Syrah was excellent. We went into the tasting room after our meal thinking that we could taste a few more wines. There was a guitarist singing in a small space with a microphone that made it unbearably loud and we both bolted for the exit. All in all I would say this dining room has become too popular and has lost its appeal as a special and intimate fine dining experience
Second time was even worse than the first. Our first time was just smeared with the rude and snobby staff so I vowed to never go to that winery again. After a few years, a friend visiting from out of state requested we visited the winery so I decided to give it another shot for my friend. Big regret. We started with the wine tasting which was not bad at all. But came lunch. Food was ok but service was absolutely horrendous. Our server came back 4 times when it came to paying the bill. First she gave us the wrong one. There was 7 of us in our group and we were paying separate so I thought I was being considerate when I wrote down on the check which meal needs to be charged on what cards. That wasn’t good enough for her and asked if I can write down the total for each card and I did. That was not good enough, she wanted me to figure out myself the tax and gratuity to be added (she even brought me a calculator). I mean seriously!!! How hard can it be to do that herself. We were so irritated we almost ran out after paying the bill. Never again!!!!
Impeccable service, extraordinary view of vineyards, and delicious fresh fruit summer salad with a wine tasting afterwards
It was a hot day in Paso but a very pleasant brunch. The fans kept the temp pleasant and the wasps away. The food + wine were excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a better server. Susan was awesome. It’s such a beautiful setting. We will definitely return.
Awesome setting in the midst of the vineyards. We both had the burger, which was really good. The staff was attentive and of course, we enjoyed a couple glasses of Justin vino with our meal.
Always a treat coming to the restaurant at Justin. We are from Tahoe, wine club members and have Celiac, which always makes for interesting dining experience. Their chef and staff are excellent and highly recommend them to anyone who wants a great dining experience and wine tasting:)
Me and my wife came to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and Justin definitely did not disappoint. Everything from the service to the food and wine pairing were about as good as it gets. Our server Amanda was super knowledgeable, hospitable and accommodating. She definitely helped make our night a special one. At the end of the night she even turned on a couple fireplaces for us to hangout for a little while we sobered up. Our menus were printed with a “Happy anniversary” and on top of that we’re were given a menu signed by our servers and the chef. For the food, we became a little worried due to some reviews we read that were less than flattering. But, the reviews couldn’t be more wrong; the food is so unbelievable and the wine pairing is absolutely on point. We can’t say thank you enough to our server Amanda and the rest of the staff for making our night incredibly special and making us feel like rockstars.
Best cheese burger I’ve ever had.
Wonderful food, service and ambiance.
Such an amazing location service food of course the wine is out of this world if you get a chance you'll definitely enjoy yourself
We drove the beautiful drive to Justin in the golden hour. When we arrived it was peaceful and beautiful. The food was delicious and inventive. The wine of course was amazing, and we did the premium tasting. Our service was perfect too. What a lovely first night in Paso!
Absolutely stunning food in a glorious setting! Serve was excellent, disappointed in the white wines, will stick to the reds next time! Will be back!
Beautiful scenery, delicious food, delicious wine, and a wonderful experience. Would absolutely recommend!
Had Sunday brunch with friends staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It was a nice surprise to be charged regular retail price for wine as opposed to the usual double you typically pay at restaurants. Food was outstanding.
Me & my boyfriend were in Paso for his birthday weekend and this was our first stop. I got the icon flight, which is 3 generous pouring of 3 different Justin reds. All of which were amazing! $30 for the flight which also includes complimentary refills on any of the 3 wines, which included Isosceles. We split the Artisanal cheese plate, which came with a great selection of tasty bites. Lastly, we split an ice cream sandwich flight, which was a bit smaller than expected...but still delicious. Our waitress, who’s name I didn’t get, but wish I did, was very attentive and friendly. We were seated outside, which is a beautiful setting...but a bit warm in summer. Overall it was a great experience, and I can’t wait to go back!
Lovely. Can’t wait to go back.
After hearing so many good things about Justin we decided to go for lunch. Unfortunately we were not impressed. The grounds are not that spectacular -- compared to many other wineries in the area. The food was okay -- and for the price we definitely expected something higher quality. My husband got the burger and added bacon and avocado which brought the price over $30!!!! And the taste of the meat was nothing special!!! I got the arugula salad and 1/4 of the arugula was yellow and the rest of it was full of stems! I wouldn't have even used it for a salad at home! And the price for that small salad with no protein was $17! No chef should have served the arugula. The service was very attentive, but we arrived just as the majority of the tables were leaving so I really can't say if the service is always that attentive. I do not recommend this restaurant -- very overpriced for the quality of the food.
This place is amazing. If in Paso Robles eat lunch here. Great food, great wine and just a beautiful place.
Over cooked meat, icy crab, sub par cheesecake. Great service but disappointing food.
We often detour west from HWY 101 into the wine growing hills outside Paso Robles to dine at Justin Winery on our road trips south from SF Bay Area. The outdoor patio is shaded, looking out onto gardens and vineyards. The food and wine is first rate and sophisticated. We have eaten at Justin half a dozen times and never been disappointed. Well worth the side trip if you enjoy good food and wine in a relaxing setting.
My dinner experience at Justin Winery was tremendously disappointing. The setting is spectacular and intimate with a beautiful view of some of the vineyard outside the patio. The ingredients all seem to be wonderful and seem to be locally sourced all the way down to the small garden outside. The service was warm and attentive but not intrusive. The Justin family of wines were wonderful and well chosen - we had upgraded to the reserve collection for an upcharge to $80 per person - which I believe was worth the extra cost. So, what went wrong? The food. The four course prix fix menu at $130 included a duck confit raviolo and the first hint there was a problem was that the sauce had noticeably congealed on our plates. Later when the main steak course arrived the sous vide preparation had been overcooked - leaving little trace of pink in the meat and a generally tough and quite cool piece of meat. When I mentioned it to the sever - he seemed non-plussed and said he would give the feedback to the chef and offered nothing else. Given the half dozen or so tables and the separation of seatings by 30 minutes the poor execution of the meal was inexcusable. Except, the only excuse may have been that this was July 4th and that the chef and staff had left for their own holiday. There are far too many beautiful restaurant locations with excellent service to risk a costly second-tier dinner experience.
Food was bland, overcooked, tasteless, and not worth the price. The only good part of dining was the Negranti sheep ice cream. The ambiance and service was great. Save yourself a buck and go somewhere else for better food and wine at a much better price.
This is an excellent way to experience what one of the top wineries in Paso Robles has to offer from its wine program during a delicious meal. It is not for bargain hunters, but if you want an elevated experience while in Paso Robles, I highly recommend it.
The atmosphere and service was on point. Food was good. Wish they had gluten free options. Most items were offered GF but it was by removing a key ingredient from the dish changing the dish. They offered tacos and they were delicious.
