We had a great time!
Setting in the vineyard is unbeatable. And was surprised that the wines on the menu were reasonably priced.
We had a beautiful lunch there for a bridal shower weekend. The ambience was perfect, the food was delicious, and the staff was fantastic! We absolutely love Justin and look forward to coming back in the future!
Outstanding wine and outstanding food! The service was even better via Amanda!
Great food. Great setting. Did I mention great wine?
Wonderful time celebrating our Anniversary and we were taken care of with outstanding service.
Everything was amazing! The food, wine, service all incredible. The winery grounds are beautiful, next time we would love to stay onsite!
Thank you for a lovely experience!
Lovely setting outside on a beautiful garden, pleasant and accommodating server, and excellent unique food. The salmon fish was inventive and cooked to perfection. Both times we have eaten lunch at Justin have been so great. Don’t miss this jewel in the wine country!
Lovely view, need a more extensive lunch menu. Great wine.
Great place dispute a limited menu. It was surprising that they would run out of meat for their delicious cheeseburger on a Saturday.
Lovely service, delicious food, and great ambiance. We will be back.
Had a lovely time, great food and wine! The ambiance was perfect for lunch, sunny and breezy, and not too crowded. Would definitely come back and recommend to friends.
The only minor issue was getting seated. There was no one as a dedicated host for lunch, so the staff who was serving had to essentially do two jobs, and getting seated took a bit.
The grounds and building are beautiful. Excellent food choices and the chef is amazing! Staff was all very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!
It was a good experience being out by the vineyards and the setting was awesome. However the food was OK just to say something about the food. When i am paying 230.00 per person i expect to be wowed, but i wasn't. So my experience with the restaurant was 3-4 stars.
Expensive for the experience. Excellent staff and service. 2 of the 6 courses were very good and the additional courses were adequate . Location and dining room were nice but not as impressive as I would have hoped for. Wine was excellent and transportation from Paso to the restaurant was convenient and a great service.
The setting, ambience, and service were outstanding and couldn't have been better. The views of the winery in the background were spectacular.
We got the 5 course tasting along with the reserve wine pairing. Given the level of expectation, the food fell short - even though the presentation was beautiful and the wine was tremendous. Food summary:
Course 1: Asparagus salad with quail egg and pancheta had the potential to be good, but was salted to the point of inedible. We were enjoying the rest of experience enough that we decided not to say anything.
Course 2: Sea bass over fava beans and peas. The sea bass was overcooked and broth the dish came in was not good (I'll refrain from saying what my wife and I thought it tasted like.). The fave beans and peas were fresh and delicious and the best part course.
Course 3: Carrot risotto. This dish hit the mark. It was light and flavorful. The Brussels sprouts and pepitas it came with were a perfect compliment. It was the first course we thought lived up to expectation. That said, it still didn't have a wow factor. Just solidly good.
Course 4: Beef with beef, tortellini and kale. The fresh kale, beets, and mushrooms carried the dish. They were very fresh and very high quality. The beef - again given expectations - was underwhelming. It was tender, but slightly overcooked and under salted.
Course 5: Flourless Chocolate cake - Rich and delicious. Really well done.
All five wine pairing were exceptional. My wife loved the Landmark Pinot paired with the Risotto. I liked the two opening whites (honey and butter back to back), even though we're almost exclusively red wine drinkers.
We both loved the Isosceles and Obtuse parings with the last two dishes.
Overall, the experience was wonderful, the setting beautiful, and the service perfect. The wine was everything we had hoped. The food left room for improvement. Would definitely come back and recommend to friends.
Superb meal and wines. Excellent service with limited tables. Setting is absolutely georgous. A dream experience.
Our waiter was THE BEST and the food was to die for!!!
Meal was OK but main course of steak was overdone. Sent it back and still was overdone.
Beautiful setting. A great selection of wines. The brunch items were not as terrific as the setting, but it was convenient.
The brunch was ok. The food was cooked unevenly. The Ham under the eggs benedict was so over undone it was burnt. It took so long to get the food that I just lived with it. Sitting outside was wonderful and the venue is fabulous. Been there done that not sure I would go back.
One of the most incredible dining experiences we’ve ever had! We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and from start to finish the staff at Justin made this a truly memorable event for us.
We’ve never had such personalized service anywhere in the US or abroad, and we felt like VIPs!
Our server Amanda was so attentive, knowledgeable and delightful. We nearly had a private dining experience in the gorgeous dining room overlooking the vineyards at dusk. We could not have asked for any more perfect way to celebrate our special day.
A shout out to their option of adding on a driver for the evening. Our driver Peter was so knowledgeable and accommodating. I’d recommend this option if available to you, especially if you partake of the wine pairing with your meal. Why drive when you can be safely in the hands of a driver?
Thank you Justin and staff for a beautiful and delicious dinner.
Service was exceptional, friendly, attentive and efficient. Brunch omelette was delicious and wine the perfect match. What a great experience.
My boyfriend and I went here for dinner to celebrate both my birthday and our anniversary and we nearly had the place to ourselves which felt so special. We had a very attentive waiter, but who also let us be when he could see we were in conversation. All of the courses were delicious and they were even nice enough to cater to our tastes (we don't like beets or mushrooms and both were on the menu). We opted for the reserve wine pairing and each course had a healthy pour but without pressure to finish each one so we could still walk out of there.
The food was excellent. I am somewhat adventurous but my husband is not - so going into it there was some apprehension not knowing the menu but we figured if you don't give people a choice, then likely the ingredients aren't too bizarre or too spicy, etc. We were right and everything was very interesting with great flavor combos, but nothing that was too over the top. We really enjoyed it! The portion were generous enough without being too much so at the end of 5 courses we were comfortably full but not bursting at the seams. We really enjoyed it, and the location is lovely with excellent staff and we would highly recommend it!
Awesome experience! Came for a 21st birthday and it was the right choice. Attentive staff and delicious food that was a good value for the price, but if you’re looking for an inexpensive option this is not the place. Will definitely be returning here again soon!
The food was great! Our server was wonderful. The only unfortunate part was... they do not have a dessert menu when we went there for lunch.
I was very disappointed. First of all, I was expecting a tasting menu which is not available at lunch. It was freezing and super loud. We stated at the beginning of lunch our plan to go to the wine society room afterwards yet no one conveyed this to the appropriate person. After lunch when we asked for the gate code for WS access we were told it was a two hour wait (and why don’t we have lunch first)!
Incredible. This was the total package. Just amazing. Kirby was our server and he was fantastic. The chef spoke with us and discussed the experience.
We took the shuttle from the downtown Justin winery. When we arrived at the downtown facility, we were given a glass of wine. Fantastic service both directions. Well worth it.
This is a must do when visiting the area.
Waitress messed up one of the orders, then asked him if he'd be okay with the shrimp (which he didn't order) as she brought out the rest of the order. He waited awhile to get his order. For a couple of us, we had indigestion all day long and gas. Beautiful place, overpriced in my opinion and not worth the cost.
This restaurant is in a beautiful bucolic location. The restaurant, while small is quite pleasant and the outdoor seating has heaters and a lovely view. The experience of getting there, the charm of the server and the quiet ambiance of the room made it a wonderful place to be for a double birthday. The food was good but not great and still it was wonderful to be there.
This was the most amazing fine dining experience we’ve had in a long time. I strongly recommend this restaurant- particularly during the Saturday night dinner experience.
This was an amazing adventure! Our waiter, Kirby , graciously changed our reservation as we were running late from our Hearst tour. Chef Tim was fabulous! The food was spectacular and so as the wine pairings. Again, thank you, Kirby and Chef Tim for making us feel so special.
Beautiful setting on a beautiful day. Was a magical meal with friends.
Very enjoyable evening, but not sure it was worth the drive or price.
Made the trip to Justin for the chef tasting and reserve wine pairing. What an experience! Food was delicious, wine selection unrivaled, and service was fantastic. Worth every penny this was a treat.
Menu is not elaborate but the quality is outstanding. Fresh ingredients prepared with flair.
The food and the service was truly outstanding. Our waiter, Mr. Kirby Bonta is a superb knowledgeable professional that know his trade and is attentive, courteous and had plenty of flair. Just great. Thanks
