The Restaurant at Alderbrook
The interior setting of The Restaurant at Alderbrook takes its inspiration from the outdoors with warm colors of chocolate brown and sage green representing the gardens and lawn of the resort. Floor-to-ceiling windows and multi-levels amplify views of the brilliant shore and snow-capped peaks of the Olympic Mountains.
The cuisine showcases local seafood harvested from Puget Sound and Hood Canal. After all, our shores are encrusted with oysters, our docks lined with mussels, and our sea teems with salmon.

Service was great. Food was mediocre at best. Way overpriced for what you get.
The Restaurant at Alderbrook is a fantastic place to eat! Absolutely gorgeous view of Hood Canal, and the restaurant is beautiful. Great food, great service, the whole package. Definitely worth a try!
Fathers Day/ Birthday
Such a fantastic assortment of foods for all members of our family and the staff made my 3 year old feel right at home. Will definitely be back!!
Two things. Ive a dairy allergy so I asked for olive oil instead of butter to go with the bread, and never got it.
Two, I asked for a steak without the cream sauce on it, and was served the steak with the cream sauce.
When presented with the bill the sever stated he had comped both of our glasses of wine, but on review of the bill I found he had only comped one. He did correct it when I pointed it out.
Just... sloppy service.
Birthday and Fathers Day
Celebrated our youngest college graduation. It was the perfect spot for us to get way and spend time with each other.
First overnight together with no kids! Very nice
The food was fresh and delicious, the staff friendly and the view stunning.
Disappointing Experience. I had dinner at the resort about a month ago and it was excellent....and I was so happy the food had improved because the setting and resort are charming....but this time it was disappointing. We shared a beet salad and tempura string beans which were very good. But the pasta entrees lacked flavor and with the protein addition the pasta dish becomes one of the most expensive entrees; definitely over priced. We ordered two pasta entrees....one with chicken and one with salmon. Both the chicken and salmon were acceptable; the chicken more so than the salmon. But the huge bowl of pasta was bland and lacked any flavor. It literally tasted of just olive oil and fresh tomato....no seasonings, etc. I asked for red pepper flakes to spice it up and that wasn't enough to give the pasta any meaningful flavor. We ordered ice cream for dessert which is always good. Our server was excellent; friendly and attentive.
The food and service was absolutely wonderful The noise level was too high in the evenings at dinner. But worth the food and service!
My husband took me for lunch to celebrate my birthday, and it was very special! The food was excellent (albeit rich!), and I had a celebratory Bloody Mary that was an appetizer in itself! Delicious, elegant, relaxing—definitely a stellar birthday.
Beautiful view. Olympic mountains views were awesome. Food was wonderful.
Beautiful setting... service was ok once we received service.
It was very crowded so it took a VERY long time for anyone to come over. Food was good except for the fish and chips..
Such a great restaurant! Terrific food and view! The service was awesome!
My husband and I were disappointed with the entrees we were served and the high price we paid. I had the Halibut and it was cooked well done, so very dry and I believe the price was $36.00. My husband had the eggplant and it was only diced up eggplant with some other veggies and it cost $26.00! It wasn't served hot and the veggies were still rather raw texture. Otherwise our evening was nice and the service was great. The wine and the crab cakes were delicious!
Our Mothers Day Buffet experience was over the top in every way. The cuisine exstensive and wonderful. The ambience and stunning Hood Canal crowned with snow capped Olympic Mountains. The two Mothers in our family were thrilled beyond any expectations. Thank you Open Table for the reservation, and enthusiastic high five to the whole team at Alderbrook. Our family will be recommending Alderbrook for exceptional dinning experience.
I do not do buffets so when I saw it was buffet only for Mother’s Day I was hesitant. However I was more then pleasantly surprised. Brunch was absolutely amazing. Yes, I had to have a freshly made omelet with my choice of veggies and the risotto. Couldn’t help it. The risotto which was served from a huge Parmesan wheel was to die for. Really excellent and fantastic service. I’m a local so go there often — they never disappoint.
The location is great -and beautiful. Restaurant has room for improvement.
1. Decor could use some updating
2. Some prices on menu did not match our bill (bill was more)
3. Took alooonggg time for our food - they were busy, but took longer than it should have.
4. Creme brulle was served in an overside bowl and looked like a blob of vanilla pudding.
This is a great restaurant with excellent food and outstanding views. We were guests at the hotel but this place is worth visiting even if you are not staying at the resort.
Excellent meal and service
The food was good, but not particularly great. It's overpriced for what you get.
We’re locals and eat here occasionally. Have never had a bad meal until last week— my steak was trimmed poorly and was actually 50% fat and gristle. My wife’s short ribs came completely black yet insufficiently cooked. Server was apologetic and comped us an appetizer but it was a huge miss for this kitchen. Hoping they pay the ransom for the previous chef and get he/she back soon. What we experienced was just flat out poor. Rooting for the recovery as the ambiance is unmatched.
Lovely server, Holly!
Gorgeous view, fantastic!
Disappointed that there was trivia being playing at the bar during our fine dining experience.
It really ruined the atmosphere and cheapened the whole experience.
We could hear people hooting and hollering, and we could hear the questions being asked as well as the commentary of the host of the trivia night.
Not really what we expected at a high end restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. It really cheapened the whole experience.
Trivia night at a high end restaurant? Not really the atmosphere we were seeking out.
Our server, Holly, was lovely though!
Two out of four meals were bad. One was returned and they deleted the pricing. However, due to the bad food, we and our guests will not return. I would not feel confident in recommending this restaurant to anyone else. It is very pricey and I would hate for anyone I know to have the experience we did, which was extraordinarily disappointing since this was my husband's birthday dinner.
The dinning experience was really good, the service was totally awesome and the food was exceptional. Maybe add some of the local favorites to the menu like goeduck or some oysters grilled or baked. The wine special is always a favorite of mine and I would recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends which I have. We will be back for sure.
The staff is lovely and very accommodating. The view is spectacular, and the food and wine selections are terrific! What a gem!
The wine was good, the food was ok. I like Alderbrook overall, but the value just wasn't there. For the price, I expected a higher quality of food and better service. It took a long time for our server to get back around to us, and again, the food was just ok.
Not one, but two hairs found in two separate batches of butter. Food was disappointing to say the least. I ordered the hash and received basically a bowl of potatoes. The hotel setting is absolutely gorgeous. What a shame they can’t get the restaurant to parallel the location.
The chef prepared a perfectly cooked piece of salmon. The skin was seared and the flesh was sweet and moist. It was served with black lentils. My wife had diver scallops, which were also excellent. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience. We had a window table, which gave us an unobstructed view of the beautiful Hood Canal. Highly recommended.
We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner and every meal was excellent.
We go to Alderbrook for most Easter and Mother's Day brunch buffets because of their good food, selection of items, drinks, and service. Alderbrook has outside service when the weather is nice. That menu is good and different from the main restaurant - and often has outside live music .
The Restaurant at Alderbrook consistently has some of the best food in the wide Seattle area. It compares well to New York.
We hadn't been in awhile and came for my Birthday dinner. We had the most wonderful Server, Michelle. She was really fantastic. All in all an amazing view, great food, and stellar service. Very nice evening!
Spectacular view, friendly service, and an abundance of food.
Top notch great appetizers (cheese plate/calamari). Main courses very good, short of great but worth a drive. Drinks/Wine menu good
I took my wife here for our anniversary, we had never been it was recommended to me by some friends. We went to the spa for a few hours, and then went to dinner. We will definitely be going back.
All i can say is excellent all the way around.
The view alone is worth the trip! The crab version of the Cobb salad was heavenly!
New cook. Bad chicken sandwich.
Amazing service. I proposed on their dock and tiki torches set up and rose pedals placed by many that helped at Alderbrook resort. She said yes! They gave us congrats dessert and a free drinks! So helpful and kind and delicious food. Thank you for everything!! We will be back.
