I live in Valparaiso, IN but try to get to Harrah's in Joliet whenever possible because it is a smoke-free casino. I always try to dine at The Reserve Steakhouse at least once per trip. I'm usually dining alone and can attest that in most places, that means marginal service, however that has never been the case at The Reserve. On this trip my waitress, Vicky, took great care of me and kept apologizing because the place was packed and the kitchen slammed. I grew up in a restaurant family and spent most of my adult life as a waitress for additional income so I was well aware of the situation. I think it's nice that the restaurant has the support of the locals as is evidenced by the large number of families toting in babies in car seats with young children in tow. I just wish people would consider they're entering a place that caters to adults and, as such, maybe a sitter would be a good idea for their night out.

Chef was excellent and came to our table to see how everything was. I misread the menu on sizes of steak and they still corrected it with another steak. excellent staff!!!!

I have dined at The Reserve many times. Previously, I had always had a good meal. This time was an exception.

My husband and I were at The Reserve to celebrate Valentine's Day. We shared an Oysters Rockefeller appetizer that was outstanding! For our main course, we both ordered the Filet Tips listed under "Chef's Specialties". It comes with mashed potato, cippollini onions, bacon and mushroom bordelaise.

The potato, onions, bacon and bordelaise was very good. However, the main course of the meal, the "Filet" Tips, were NOT. Some pieces of the beef were tender, but both my husband and I encountered several very tough, chewy, pieces of beef.

I don't know why the down grade in food quality, but don't think we will be eating at The Reserve again.

Overpriced, nothing special. I will say the wine I chose was the best apart of the meal, it was the Voigner.

It was good but a bit overpriced for what it is. Our server Amy was excellent. Just got the price do not think I would go back. My husband was happy with his steak but my scallops were slightly undercooked for the larger one. The French onion soup was very good as well.

Service was great. Ordered a t-bone steak, was so salty couldn't eat it, baked potato over cooked, wasn't impressed.

The Reserve is always a "dependable" place to eat. The food is very good and the level of service has been steadily improving.

Would be nice if entrees include a side. Appetizer offerings could be more generous in portion size for the money...same can be said for the desserts.

The food was GREAT. Jessica was a GREAT server. Not pushy at all, but there when needed. Very comfortable booth to sit in. So an overall 5 stars !!!!! And 2 thumbs up to the chef.

Everything was fantastic and we were treated wonderfully by our waitress. Started with lobster tempura and ended with flourless chocolate cake. Everything in between was superb. Loved the passion fruit sorbet mid way through!

We told our server that we were not in a hurry and she was perfect in letting us enjoy a nice leisurely dinner. The food was excellent and wine service was excellent. Tracey did an awesome job!

Great food and service as usual. We use The Reserve for Birthday and anniversary dinners and have never been disappointed. Our waitresses have always been knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Keep up the good work!

Very disappointed. Ordered Baked Onion Soup, it came in a tiny cup with a piece of white cheese on top, it was cold and unappetizing. Sent it back.
Ordered the Sea Bass, which was ok, but cold. We watched as the plates sat for 10 minutes, ready while our waitress ignored them. We ordered carrot cake which was awful. For the prices they charged they should be ashamed of themselves. Totally BAD. Do not bother.

twice my main meal was sent back, both times is was raw and tough, I was not satisfied with the meal at all. There was nothing offered to me for these problems, these were the 2 dishes

1 st - tips wasn't able to cut or chew
2nd - prime rib asked for med. well and rec'd raw

Had difficulties making a reservation. Could not book a table of 8 on open table, called restaurant, could only leave a message during their open working hours, 2 days later and 3 messages the restaurant final calls me back, would have been no reservations for my desired date, so I made 2 four tops on open table for my desired time and one for 15 minutes within desired time. Reserve was available to combined the tables for my desired time. The reason for the dinner was a special 85 birthday. We let the restaurant know when they finally confirmed the reservation however it was never passed on to the server that evening. Big disappointment. Took well over 30 minutes to get our 1st drink, waitress wanted to get an appetizer order before offering to get drinks. Dined here at Reserve many times always have been happy with food and service, but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing for this special occasion.

Love Harrahs Steakhouse in Joliet. The food is always great as well as the service. Reservations are encougraged. Everytime we have been there it has been very busy. The French onion soup and Filet Steak are one of my favorites. My husband loves the massive T-bone steak. Our waitress this last time was very sweet and accomadating. I also liked the warm bread that they serve as well as the Ladies night out drink ( very tasty). It is also very quiet in there so I do not recommend bringing children.

Very disappointed not a mention for our 50TH!! anniversary. Service was so so. Food was still up to standard, also disappointed our table was not special. Would have preferred a booth. Server did not seem familiar with wine list.

Excellent food and service. Our reservation was for four but we ended up with five. They accommodated us and actually gave us the best booth in the restaurant. Thanks to Kevin, the manager and Joan our server.

We all had a variety of food. Shrimp tempura OUTSTANDING. Lamb chops, sirloin steak, scallops, were all delicious. The chefs did an outstanding job. We were not disappointed.
