Absolutely wonderful all around. Tammy Rossi have our review on Trip Advisor. A truly wonderful stay.
The food is out of this world! The flavors and the presentation.....My husband had a very nice ribs and I had a light and very tastefull shrimp! We recommend the local cheese plate as well!
We totally recomend dining with them if you are staying or not on the hotel ( perfect hotel!).
The service is very good as well, out waitress was nice and provided a wonderfull service!
On vacation skiing in VT. Wonderful restaurant. Would reccommend.
birthday dinner,, very good, Food, Ex service will return
excellent food and service to match. highly recommend!
Every bite of everything we ate was perfect. We got the lobster and Brie fondue which had big chunks of lobster. The meal portions were perfect! We got the short ribs and steak. The short ribs were so tender no need for a knife! We also got the chocolate special for dessert and it came with sorbet... must try the sorbet! It was amazing, we are defiantly returning.
It had snowed about a foot during the day, and many establishments had sent staff home or closed completely. We walked to this restaurant from the Taconic on the recommendation of a chef friend. There was only one waiter and the chef in the kitchen, and the food was fantastic. Service was excellent as well. You would have thought they were fully staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and will return the next time we are in Manchester. Quiet, elegant atmosphere.
So, it was a quiet Monday night. There were only 3-4 other tables in use. However, the staff were friendly, fun and very attentive. The food was delicious, well prepared and innovative. I especially enjoyed the charcuterie appetizer that came with some very nice cheeses, meats and "duck prosciutto" which was to die for! In summary, we had a great meal , a great time and this will be on our "do-again" list.
The food and service were amazing. Presentation of each course was beautiful and creative
The Reluctant Panther was superb! The staff was attentive and welcoming from the moment we walked through the door. Our table was set and waiting for us when we arrived. Our server, Leonard, was friendly, funny and the consummate professional. He deftly guided us through the menu and we all were delighted with our orders. Everything, from the bread to the dessert, was uniquely delicious. Our appetizers (duck), soup (sweet potato) and salads were amazing but then our dinners (signature short ribs and chicken breast with cassoulet) surpassed them. We concluded our evening with cranberry ice cream and cream puffs. Everything was perfect and everything (the service, the staff, the ambience, the food) contribute to one of the most perfect evenings ever. We highly recommend the Reluctant Panther and will certainly return.
Great Service. Food was very good. Sara at the from of the house was the best. Very accommodating.
Really a great overall experience between the ambiance, great food and terrific service. We will definitely eat there again on our next visit to Manchester
Excellent food and service. Warm and friendly atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing dinner after a long, cold day of skiing. We will definitely come back in the very near future.
Lovely room in a beautiful inn. Service good and wine list has a great selection at good value. Disappointed in the fondue losbster appetizer as it was all cheese with one paltry lump of lobster. Steak was fabulous as was the fish.
We had a wonderful dining experience. We were greeted by friendly and attentive staff who make you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. Our server was also friendly, knowledgeable and made some great recommendations. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious!! This is the best restaurant I’ve dined at in the Manchester area and my family and I can’t wait to go back!! Thank you!!
It was perfect! Weight staff Michele was knowledgeable, attentive. Food was superb! Fireplaces and snow what could be better!
Very nice setting, service and the food was excellent
Great meal, great service! Can’t wait to go back in February!!
There were two large groups that were making so much noise that we could not talk. Ruined our evening. Coffee was terrible
Fabulous dinner at a gem of a restaurant! This was our first visit to The Reluctant Panther and we were thrilled to discover that it is one of the best restaurants in Vermont! The food is fantastic and the ambiance outstanding - it's so cozy, with two fireplaces and wonderful holiday decorations. Friendly and attentive service. I had the sweet potato soup to start, and it was sublime. My husband had the seasonal salad and he really enjoyed it. For entrees, he had Venison Osso Bucco, which was excellent, and I had the Switchback Ale braised shortribs, which was fantastic. Very good wine list, and inspired desserts round out the experience. We had the yummy deconstructed carrot cake. The evening included several special touches, like an amuse bouche before the first course and chocolate truffles after dinner. Can't wait to go back!
We were there celebrating a birthday on gals weekend. All of us are foodies and can cook marvelousy. We found our dishes to be a bit average and in particular, my steak was below average. A bit too fatty and grisly texture for a rib eye. Overall, the atmosphere is nice and the cocktail list is creative. I would visit again and give it another try.
We went here for Thanksgiving dinner on our honeymoon and had a spectacular dinner. Everything was amazing! We are still talking about the meal and how perfect it was. From the moment we arrived we were greeted and met with hospitality. We were seated at the best table for two that looked out onto a pond and the service was impeccable. Everything was perfect down to the host putting my coat on as we headed out the door. We look forward to returning.
Awesome in every way!
Excellent dining experience from start to finish. Will definitely return. We have also recommended this restaurant to other business associates.
Was an awesome dinner, crab cakes are to die for, and the chicken dish with goat cheese was top shelf, I would give chief and service 10 stars if they had it!
Most highly recommended!!!
An all around Great Experience... This was our first visit to The Reluctant Panther Restaurant but we will definitely be back on our next trip to Manchester VT. There were four of us celebrating our friends birthday & we all had a great experience. The service was excellent!!! The food was outstanding!!! Compliments & Thanks to the Chef & the Staff for an incredible experience.
Wonderful restaurant. Our server was excellent. Just a beautiful experience
Well worth the drive. Very good service with fantastic food. Worth visiting Manchester to stay and have dinner here
Beautiful food service and menu. All dishes were beautifully presented and prepared. Loved it!!!
Our experience was delightful from beginning to end. Our waiter was Leonard and he suggested some dishes that were delicious. He was friendly and attentive. His kindness made our special occasion even better.
Outstanding ambience and food. Right next door to the Equinox. Service was fantastic. Food selection was creative and well prepared. The best meal we had on our trip to Manchester, VT.
Wonderful! everything: food, service, noise level, atmosphere all great
Best restaurant in the Manchester area! We live in a nearby town and therefore have reason to visit many, if not all, of the restaurants in Manchester and the surrounding towns. The Reluctant Panther is head and shoulders above them all. It offers the perfect combination of fantastic food, genial and competent service, in a beautiful, quiet setting. While other restaurants may compete on one dimension or another, none come close to attaining TRP's high standards across all three. The chef does a phenomenal job, creating delicious dishes using only the freshest local ingredients. The service was extremely professional, attentive, and knowledgable. The dining room is beautiful, with comfortable seating and tables that are spread out, so that the noise level is dampened. A great place for a five star dining experience!
The service was phenomenal. Hunter was knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients and any special modifications. The chef features a new seasonal menu which she premiered on the 18th with locally grown ingredients and a eye for detail. Enjoyed every minute.
It wasn't impressive. The table next to is was complaining about their meal the entire time, which definitely impacted our experience. The waiter also accidentally charged is for 2 glasses of whiskey, but we only had one. We just wanted to get out of the restaurant and the table next to us was causing such a fuss that we just decided to pay the bill and not bring it up.
Wonderful food and quaint.
We were welcomed outside the Hotel/restaurant and immediately made to feel welcome. We were early for our reservation and were made comfortable on the patio. Lovely meal, nice service in a beautiful setting. The cheese tray we had for dessert might have been a bit skimpy but the oysters, risotto and short ribs were all good.
We went here for our wedding anniversary. The service and the food were fantastic! We were very pleased, and would definitely recommend to others! The food was fairly priced for the area. Very nice decor and atmosphere.
If you have not visited the Reluctant Panther, you should. The food is amazing and the wait staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The restaurant is quiet and is the perfect place for intimate, quiet conversation, a business dinner, or a friends' get-together. You will not be disappointed in any aspect of the food or service.
Menu, food and service was very good. But the place lacks warmth. No greeting, no management in sight. No personality. Unfortunately, our table was by a door leading to the deck so it was constantly opening and closing with continuous foot traffic. Spoiled the ambiance. We want to go back for the food but not sure if it's worth it.
