The Panther is back to top form. Superb service, food, and management of COVID related precautions. Very comfortable dining experience.
Our favorite restaurant in the area. It was the second time we were there and can’t wait to go back.
I've been wanting to eat here for years. Never could get a reservation. It exceeded my expectations.
Amazing food and amazing friendly team supporting. It was absolutely worth it.
We were there for an anniversary dinner. Had a table outside overlooking their small pond and fountain with the mountains in the background. The food was wonderful and the service left nothing to be desired.
Delightful dinner outside. Cocktails were disappointing though.
Fantastic food, service and experience. We shared the short ribs and halibut and they were both outstanding!
Food and service are wonderful. The chef really knows how to blend flavors.
Impeccable decor, cuisine and service. Easily top top top Vermont restaurant.
The food was delicious. We shared a Brussels sprouts appetizer which could not have been better. My husband had seared scallops paired with pureed cauliflower. He was skeptical about the match, but thought it hit the mark. I had parpardelle with pheasant breast, and it was delicious except for the . We normally share a dessert. but splurged with two. We had a trio of sorbets and I especially liked the apple cider on and a chocolate dessert with flourless chocolate cake (a bit intense) and a great topping (forget what); a chocolate shell filled with dulce de leche cream; and chocolate covered nuts. The latter was way too much for a mere mortal to eat by oneself.
It was a wonderful dinner , delicious food, great service and very relaxing.
Stylish ambiance with fireplace. Friendly prompt service. Delicious pheasant paté. Dessert Chocolate Bomb to die for.
Lovely, tranquil place with fabulous fireplaces and views of the snowy winter. Food is terrific, staff attentive, and the pastry chef is a god.
Great food and atmosphere
We eat out quite a bit. Beat meal I have had in months. Pheasant was superb and the flourless chocolate with creme brûlée was perfect to share.
I am a return customer and friend of the Reluctant Panther. It is my favorite restaurant bar none. I know it is the best in Vermont!
Dinner and spent the night. Everything was excellent!
The food was very creative and wonderful both in taste and presentation. Everything we tired was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who visits Manchester.
Really a great Inn , great staff.
The dinner was superb.
Outstanding taste and presentation.
food was great and a good selection of wine. The waitress was very helpful with questions about the menu.
Wonderful offerings, prepared and presented beautifully. Our server, Matt was very well versed about the menu and very attentive.
Try the lobster brie fondue..excellent..as was the braised short ribs. Cant wait to return.
Celebrated our 1 year anniversary, the food was amazing!
Excellent as always!
Excellent pre fix menu. Excellent chef. Decent wine list.
Excellent food and service. We had a wonderful meal.
Christmas vacation with the family
Great food, great service.. make reservations at least 6 weeks in advance!
All around excellent—very pleasant dinning room (we got table next to fireplace!), Michelle, our server was knowledgeable and pleasant, pace of service was perfect, and the food—-outstanding. We had a wonderful time.
It's been a long time since I said that "this was the best meal that I ever had". But in fact, I really can't remember a better experience than our first dinner in Manchester, Vermont on our vacation. We have traveled the world, but I was really taken back by this extraordinary dinner.
Our servers were excellent and the menu was quite varied for us to decide on since it was difficult to choose. We chose the Pistachio Stuffed Lamb Loin and the seasonal risotto. Both were fantastic. The wine selection was fabulous as well as the dessert offerings.
This is a must, if you are spending anytime in Manchester, Vermont.
Need to change up the menu. We’ve had dinner there several times and we were always very happy with the inspired menu and top notch service. The last time definitely missed the mark.
Thanks for the feedback, Our chef changes the menu seasonally as certain items are available. Please check our website for upcoming menu changes. Joseph Jez Restaurant Manager
This is a wonderful restaurant and great for special occasions. The food is very inventive and I always want many of the choices on the menu. Tonight my girlfriend and I split a delicious roasted brussel sprouts appetizer. For our main course I had a pheasant breast on black pappardelle pasta. My girlfriend had crab stuffed trout. Interesting right? The waitress was excellent; very knowledgeable about the menu and had a delightful personality. The restaurant is quiet and has a formal but warm atmosphere. I highly recommend the Reluctant Panther Inn for dinner.
Thank you for sharing your positive remarks. We are happy to hear that you had a wonderful dining experience! Please visit us again. Joseph Jez Restaurant Manager
We enjoyed dinning at the Reluctant Panther. The Inn and Restaurant is welcoming and decorated with original local art. We had a green salad and pheasant and both were wonderful. The service was excellent.
Thanksgiving dinner was everything we could have hoped for. Wish we could go back sooner but we live 6 hours away!
Magnificent from beginning to end. The staff was excellent and Chef Sigal is superb!
While traveling in western Mass. we wanted a meal that was hearty but elegant. The Panther met all criteria. It was a cold Tuesday night so there was no waiting. Staff was very knowledgeable on the menu items as well as that night specials. Wines were also excellent choices. Of course, topping off the meal with a lovely dessert. When we travel back to the area in the spring, we plan to take others in the family for a meal.
Thank you Lulu, We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your dinner here at the panther. We look forward to welcoming you back in the spring. Joseph Jez Restaurant Manager
A very comfortable and beautifully decorated dining area. Busy but not noisy and table separation is just right. Our server was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the menu and had a great personality. The menu had plenty of offerings but not so many that it overwhelms you. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The timing of food course delivery was right on allowing us to enjoy the experience and never feeling rushed. Highly recommend this to anyone with an appreciation for fine dining and service.
Thank you for your kind words, We are very glad to hear that you had such a wonderful dining experience. We look forward to welcoming you back to dine with us in the future. Joseph Jez Restaurant Manager
We stayed here for 2 nights. We didn’t care for the breakfasts but the dinner was nice. We had venison osso bucco and pheasant appetizer. We shared both. They keep this room a little too warm for our liking.
Thanks for sharing your stay with us, we hope that you will visit us again. Joseph Jez Restaurant Manager
Wonderful experience in dining. Was there 25 years ago and still amazing. Beautiful setting, food and service. Will go back!
Food was OK. Steak was ordered medium rare and should’ve cut like butter but it was a bit tough. The crab stuffed trout was quite dry. The dirty martini was bland, which I didn’t even know was possible with a dirty martini. Overall the meal was just OK.
Thank you for letting us know that you didn't fully enjoy your meal. I only wish we had known at the time of service so that we may have had a chance to get you something that you would have enjoyed better. The steak is locally raised grass fed beef, it can be quite different than what may be served at many other restaurants. I'm sorry that your visit was just "OK" please reach out to us if your in the area again and would like to give us another try. Joseph Jez Restaurant Manager
