Haven't been there for some time and forgot what I was missing. The staff is extremely attentive without being overbearing. Best food and dining experience in Columbus, hands down.

Had a nice Valentine’s Day dinner but the food took almost 2 hours to get to us. Will come back but probably not as often since the long wait time for food is so long. If you’re looking for nice ambiance and good drinks then go here.

My wife and I went for the first time and were underwhelmed. While I can appreciate the classic French theme and the historical building, this restaurant is outdated. I got the feeling that nothing has been changed in a very long time. For the most part the food was good, except for the bisque which was burnt and inedible, but nothing we ate was exciting. For having spent $400+ on dinner we were simply unimpressed.

This restaurant is a special place! With it's deep history and connection to Columbus combined with it's fantastic food and impeccable service, it's a real gem! The menu choices are diverse and delicious. It's perfect for a quiet date night, lively group gathering, or just a double date. We love going to the Refectory!

Excellent first time at the Refectory. We had a little bit of a wait to get our reserved table but it was worth it.

The food was excellent and their foie gras a true delicatessen. Same thing should be said about our entrees and especially about dessert: their creme brûlée was out of this world.

Our waiter was not only knowledgeable but also always around for attending our needs and even providing us with great conversation.

I am looking forward to future visits.

The atmosphere is incredible as an old church and school. The owner is also the host and the servers are impeccably trained. And, the food was great!

This place is timeless and romantic with good old fashioned wait staff. The food is exquisite and wine list extensive with a variety of price points to fit the budget. It's a five star all around. I love this place.

Another delicious pre theatre dinner! $26.95 bistro menu is the best deal in town! 3 course menu makes you feel you're in NYC or London prior to a show. The goat cheese, leek, and smoked salmon creme brulee starter was amazing!

Have been to The Refectory numerous times for anniversaries and birthdays. This last visit was my least favorite. The food was good but not exceptional like previous visits. For the price I expect more. While I may return for another meal in the future I intend to check out other fine dining options in the interim.
Would like to have provided a better rating but this was not your best effort.

We had great food at the Refectory. We just had some small service issues table side. We waited 15 minutes to be seated which wasn't of real concern to us. Our server put our red wine on ice which we thought was odd and then didn't come back around to fill our glasses either. Then one of the desserts at our table was incorrect. This didn't ruin our experience, we did expect more from the service at Refectory. The food fully met our expectations from appetizers to main course to dessert. Very thoughtful and full of taste.

Great first visit that made date nite very enjoyable. We arrived early at 5pm so the place was quiet. Food was well prepared and delicious. Service was excellent and the atmosphere delightful. We made plans to return during one of the Jazz music venue in March!

My husband surprised me with a special date night dinner at the Refectory. It was a very romantic and upscale restaurant. We got dressed up, enjoyed an excellent meal, wonderful service, and quiet conversation together. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion and/or a romantic evening. It's great that lil' ol' Columbus, Ohio offers such fine dining!

Overall, a beautiful evening for Restaurant Week. Wonderful service and sommelier who offered recommendations and extensive knowledge. The quail terrine was the highlight, with a delicious texture and beautifully delicate sauces.

We came for restaurant week and the food was amazing. Portioned properly and our server was great! He actually offered for us to come back and see live entertainment since we are blue grass fans. I had no idea they had live performances. We love the ambience and how the space takes you back in time but not feel stuffy. We will be back !
