About The Red Feather
The Red Feather is a contemporary American farm to table restaurant located in the Oakley neighborhood of greater Cincinnati. We offer an upscale casual dining experience with an emphasis on classic culinary techniques and slow, careful preparations. Enjoy forty wines by the glass, 200+ by the bottle, house made craft cocktails and a comprehensive list of micro-brewed beers. The bar is perfect for an after work drink, meeting friends, sharing a bottle of wine or enjoying one of our innovative bar snacks. Warm woodwork surrounds our three separate dining areas each with its own personality, from cozy and intimate to bright and airy. We also offer an up close and intimate Chefs Table where one can watch the preparation of our food and interact with our Chef/Owners. The Red Feather stands for innovation, rough luxury, and honoring those who worked to bring us the products that we are proud to serve and enjoy.

The Red Feather Ratings and Reviews
Our server was great at first, then the quality of service somewhat declined towards the end of dinner. Our entrees were good all around the table, no complaints. One of our desserts was incredibly hard, seemed over cooked. When we brought this to the servers attention twice nothing was done to rectify this. I don’t think I’ll return.
I was really excited to go to this restaurant BUT my fish was served raw and had to be sent back. They made the appropriate reparations but it doesn’t change the fact that my husband and I are separately. My husbands short ribs had burnt popcorn on it (weird). Gnocchi was delicious as was the pecan pie. But I was completely underwhelmed.
It had been 3yrs. since being at Red Feather.. It has only gotten better in my opinion. Great plate options, the beet salad was awesome. My Mom and brother really were blown away. We shared our main dishes.. The pork chop, roasted chicken and short ribs were unreal. Impeccable service as well.
I made a reservation to be sure we didn't have to wait but wound up sitting at the bar instead and having a great meal. We split the Ricotta app, an entree of the gnocchi, and the pork chop. All the food was amazing, but the bone-in pork chop was absolutely one of the best I have ever had. All the pork is from a local purveyor. The bar service was top notch and we got to chat with the head chef who recommended we sit at the chefs table next time if we are bar sitting people...which we are. Highly recommend for a nice date or special occasion.
The food and atmosphere was great. I had the Breakfast Poutine and Lobster Benedict with an orange juice, which was filling and enough to take home as leftovers. The price for the meal was reasonable for a bougie brunch. My server was pretty rude though. He gave me an attitude and looked at me like I was stupid. Even my friends commented that he only seemed rude to me. Don't know what I did, but I still tipped him 15%. I'll be back, but I better have a different server cause his attitude turned the whole experience sour.
The prosciutto salad and the blackened barramundi were fantastic. The featured 24 hour brined Berkshire pork chop was a little on the dry side but delicious. The featured gnocchi was good as were the desserts. The server John was at the top of his game, not intrusive but always observing for any needs. Will be back.
The Red Feather hits the mark every time you go there. You can depend on there being an interesting menu no matter the season. Each and every employee that we've had contact with makes you feel like you are having a special evening. They are a classy act from start to finish.
We dined here for our 3rd wedding anniversary and was very impressed. We live in the area, but have never even heard of the Red Feather. Everything was fresh and from scratch. Every dish had a unique and creative aspect to it. We will be back for our next special occasion!
We came out to celebrate the soon-to-be arrival of our twins. Our server was exceptional. She was very attentive without being overwhelming. I unfortunately did not catch her name. The food was delicious. We will be back ( if we get another date night after the babies are born).
I booked a reservation well in advance, and they permitted my request of a quieter corner which was great. The food and drink overall was good, but I ordered a dish that was not available and therefore had to choose something else, which was fine, however, when the 2nd choice arrived, the side had been changed without consulting me since they had run out of the side I had chosen. I would have complained further but my dish had already come out after everyone else's in my party. This was a disappointing experience since I was excited to eat here. I do feel they should have taken my dish off the bill, but simply wasn't in the mood to complain, but I won't be excited to go here again.
A Saturday night dinner with friends. Various small plates, salads, entrees; all were perfect. Timing was spot on. Service identified we were not in a hurry and timed the courses accordingly. You have to leave room for desserts. We ordered four desserts and shared them all.
We eat at Red Feather 4-6 times a year. We enjoy the restaurant but caution that it is not a quick dinner experience. You place your order all together - appetizer, salad and dinner - and the kitchen spaces out the courses. We have always found a large lag between finishing the salad course and the arrival of the main course. Saturday night it was at least 20 minutes.
