The Red Feather
The new crabcake recipe is a huge improvement
Food as always was wonderful and Katherine was excellent!
everything was great. two of our kids were visiting from California where they are foodies, and they loved the food, service and ambiance.
We bad a nice table in the back for our party of 8. Our waitress was decent and service was above average. Our biggest criticism is the price. Unlikely that we will go back.
The food was good but it was also very pricey. Good serving sizes though
Nice spot for a special evening out! Oyster selection and dessert wines were the evenings highlights!
Food ranged from subpar to all right, and the ice cream was scooped from an ice cream carton (saw the kitchen staff taking it out from the freezer)- not home made like they say! Not worth the price.
Food was outstanding
Service was great
Wine and drinks were excellent
Order got kinda lost, all turned out well!
Great ambient with a very good service. Appetizers were really good but main dishes were far behind. The pork chop is succulent but tasteless even with the sauce. If the price was half of what I paid, would probably be fair.
Loved everything about this restaurant. It was charming, with a bistro feel. Wait staff was personable and attentive, food was lovely and delicious. We were there for brunch while in town visiting relatives.
This was our second attempt at Red Feather. The first time we had a 9:30 reservation, did not get seated until 10pm and did not get our food until 10:45 which was cold. They did not charge us for the entree as a result and invited us to come back.
This time we had a 7:30 reservation, did not get seated until 7:55. Soup and salad were excellent and served relatively quickly. The main course took about an hour, braised short ribs which was overcooked and dry. Cappuccino machine was also broken according to our waiter, who did a very good job making excuses for the slow kitchen.
Two strikes and your out in this game. Won't go back.
$105 Cowboy Steak was undercooked and mostly fat. Took 3 hours to eat there- slow service
We enjoyed a fabulous night. Our server (Kristen?) was superb, knowledgeable, and took her time with us. The food was timed nicely and came out better than we could have expected. Overall we would definitely go back, as our evening was darn near perfect! Thanks again!
One of our favorite restaurants for date night. Every time we go I have to order the whipped ricotta.
Lovely experience, great food and atmosphere.
While the ambience was nice and cozy, the prices were too high
Outstanding food with impeccable service
Perfect place for a date night or a nice dinner with friends.
Service was excellent but the kitchen a bit slow. The food is always superb
The food and service was fantastic.
I have heard great things about Red Feather, and they did not disappoint me.
I went there for brunch, and had the seafood omelet with a hollandaise sauce. It was great.
The potatoes that it came with were a little too crispy for my liking, but I understand the contrast that the crisp was intended for against the soft omelet. Understandable.
Overall great brunch and the tropical pineapple mimosa was very good as well.
I will look forward to a dinner there soon.
I had mixed feelings about my experience; we had a great server and the ambiance is laid back dining, but my food was not edible. We went for brunch and I ordered the "Oakley". My eggs were not cooked and completely liquid/runny. They were supposed to be scrambled. Afterward I actually became ill from attempting to eat the eggs. Our biscuits were overcooked and burnt. The bacon was not fresh. It was a disappointing experience.
Had a group of 8 ladies for a brunch for our friend's birthday on a Sunday morning; service was wonderful and quick, and we were served complimentary breakfast dessert while we waited. Beautiful establishment, good food and reasonable prices.
This restaurant is amazing! Our food was excellent, from the first bit of our charcuterie board (easily the best one I’ve ever had) to the end of the meal. Katheryn I believe was our server, and she was another large part of why our experience was great, making knowledgeable recommendations and describing the menu very well to us first-time diners. Even the host staff was wonderful, taking our umbrellas on a rainy night and having them promptly ready for us as we departed. We’ll definitely be back!
Be prepared for some great food, but get ready to WAIT. Not sure if it was just busy the night we went or what, but it took an absurd amount of time to get our food. From placing our order to having the food set down at our table was about an hour.
Another great meal with good friends. Could not have been better.
We had a fantastic meal here for my boss' birthday. Our server was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend getting a dessert!
We had a reservation for four people, but only two of us showed up on time. They sat us anyway and didn't wait for the other two who showed up a few minutes late. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and quick. I'd go again.
We love going to Red Feather. We always have had a great time with the attentive and knowledgeable staff. The wine list is great and every server we have had knows how to select the right wine for us. Food is always amazing and I cannot resist the Whipped Ricotta appetizer!
Totally disappointing! After having had a truly nice brunch there a few weeks ago, this dinner was subpar at best. The brussels sprout side dish was indistinguishable as brussels sprouts! Overcooked and unappetizing.
I ordered a medium rare burger with truffle fries. The burger was past medium and dry. The fries were soggy and greasy. Another order of fries was only slightly better. Our orders took forever. 30 minutes from ordering to dining. Will not go back.
Other then the waitress spilling the birthday girls drink on her. The great service and delicious food made up for it. We will be back.
Fabulous food and service. Something for everyone.
The food and service exceeded expectations. The portion size for the gnocchi appetizer was very small, but it was by far the best gnocchi I have ever tried. We will definitely go back.
The dinner was delicious! Food was very different from anywhere I have been in Cincinnati. Nothing was typical of what you would get somewhere else. A small menu but a great mix of anything you would want!
I took my family here for brunch and upon arrival, they were out of a few of the dishes that we were hoping to order. Upon being seated, it took us another 15 minutes to get a waiter, who brought waters then left and did not return for another 10 minutes to take drink orders. Our waiter seemed to be new and unfamiliar with the menu, and guided us to ordering sides because he said the meals did not come with sides (they did). Upon taking our order and bringing us a drink, our water did not check back in with us expect to clear plates and bring the check. we had to ask for drink refills and condements. Our food was sitting up at the kitchen window for several minutes.
Food is excellent. Service is so so.
Biggest complaint — we got there a few minutes early and even tho many many empty tables, would not be seated until the exact minute and second of our reservation. The host was very very cold and unfriendly.
This also happened to us last visit. While we are waiting to be seated because we were early for our reservation, two women come in with no reservation and were seated right away ahead of us. Go figure ??? Will not be back.
The food was nice but unfortunately it was very cold. Disappointing. We wish there was a better selection of desserts. The service was very good.
We usually love coming to Red Feather. It has a nice vibe, and the food and service are great. This last Saturday was somewhat disappointing though. We waited over an hour for our entree. Too long. Two of us ordered the rack of lamb. Very tough, and not great. On the other hand, my bourbon cocktail was fabulous, as were the starters: salads, brussels, bread. I heard good things about the flank steak and the scallops too.
