The Red Feather
Other then the waitress spilling the birthday girls drink on her. The great service and delicious food made up for it. We will be back.
Fabulous food and service. Something for everyone.
The food and service exceeded expectations. The portion size for the gnocchi appetizer was very small, but it was by far the best gnocchi I have ever tried. We will definitely go back.
The dinner was delicious! Food was very different from anywhere I have been in Cincinnati. Nothing was typical of what you would get somewhere else. A small menu but a great mix of anything you would want!
Food is excellent. Service is so so.
Biggest complaint — we got there a few minutes early and even tho many many empty tables, would not be seated until the exact minute and second of our reservation. The host was very very cold and unfriendly.
This also happened to us last visit. While we are waiting to be seated because we were early for our reservation, two women come in with no reservation and were seated right away ahead of us. Go figure ??? Will not be back.
The food was nice but unfortunately it was very cold. Disappointing. We wish there was a better selection of desserts. The service was very good.
We usually love coming to Red Feather. It has a nice vibe, and the food and service are great. This last Saturday was somewhat disappointing though. We waited over an hour for our entree. Too long. Two of us ordered the rack of lamb. Very tough, and not great. On the other hand, my bourbon cocktail was fabulous, as were the starters: salads, brussels, bread. I heard good things about the flank steak and the scallops too.
First time there and will go again. Our waiter Eric was excellent. Great cocktails and wine list.
Anniversary dinner. First time here. The food was impeccable and well executed. The fall salad was to die for. The pork buns were amazing. My salmon was perfectly cooked. Husbands chicken and cheese grits were awesome. The chocolate torte and toasted marshmallows? Haven’t had a dessert like that in years. I love how this restaurant is so central and close to us and can’t believe we haven’t been here in years. Shout out to John for being an awesome and attentive waiter. Will definitely come back again!
It was disgustingly hot. We were sitting by a thermostat and it was reading at 88°. Several of us started feeling sick because of how hot it was. We had a pregnant girl with us and she was completely uncomfortable. We asked the server and he said there was nothing they could do.
Food was expensive and not very good. Drinks, service and ambiance were great.
Corrine was a great server.
I would like to have seen more variety in the menu. The salads, brussle sprouts, and crab cakes were excellent. One of us had the chicken which didn’t have a lot of flavor.
The wine and alcohol selection was good.
Too smokey from oven - they need to install another exhaust fan in the kitchen. Clothes/hair smelled like a campfire.
Stopped by after a 6 pm movie due to great reviews. Service was inattentive. We ordered the Bibb salad, Gnocchi(per server) and salmon entree. Wanted a cheese platter but all the cheeses were goat...Bibb was good but nothing special. Gnocchi was far too salty (and I like salt), the salmon was crispy and tasty but took forever to come out. We were there for over an hour and a half. The drink was good. My 2015 Cabernet was delicious. Would come back for the great wine.
There is a ventilation problem at this restaurant. Last number of times I have been there, the dining room is extremely hot and smells like campfire -- strongly. You don't want a fine dining experience (even casual fine dining) and have to shower when you come home and dry clean your clothes. The wait staff was not well trained on menu. Menu has seen little change in over a year, no specials last time we were in. We used to love this place.
Went with a girlfriend and we loved the shareable appetizers and the salads. Terrific place for any night out.
The food and service here are always outstanding. The best brunch in town!
I can't wait to go again.
Always love this place! I will always come back for brunch for the bloody mary bar and those yummy, complimentary beignets!!
This is the second time I've been there. The food and service is impeccable. The quiche is perfect! I accidentally left an item a friend brought to give me and the server caught me walking by and flagged me down to return it....which was very kind.
Always a great experience at red Feather!
Everything was great but restaurant was very hit
horrible experience. 2.5 hours of delay and excuses. Paid $150 for a bottle of wine that was enjoyed, but not with food as ordered. Offered many excuses but nothing improved. Promised free dessert that never came. Just can’t make up what a bad Friday night date it was. What has happened to management??used to be great.
Service was slow - 1.5 hrs to get dinner. Air broken and place smelled like a fire pit. Dinner finally came and was cooked poorly
Food and service was amazing last Friday, but the air was so Smokey that it burned our eyes. Can’t wait to return though.
Our meals were amazing but a little pricey.
Food and drinks were awesome. Can't wait to return. Thanks for a great dinner, Red Feather!
Red Feather is one of Cincinnati’s finest restaurants
Squash blossoms exceptional, light breading fry with warm gooey cheese inside. Scallops, perfect sear. East coast oysters served with mignonette sauce excellent.
We had a very nice dinner with friends our server was Keith and he did an outstanding job. The wine list was extensive but unfortunately the inventory was not. Food was over-the-top and the ambience was great however table near the kitchen turned out to be warmer than the rest of the restaurant
Maybe it was the back room or maybe it was the people but it seemed very loud. The food was wonderful.
Camille was an eeeexcellent server! The scallops were PERfect! Delightful evening, we'll be back for sure!
Very great for date night!
Red Feather has been perhaps my favorite restaurant in Cincinnati for a few years. I have saved it for very special occasions because the menu is beyond my budget but the quality of the food has been worth it. Nonetheless I had a less than mediocre experience with the two vegetarian options on the small plates menu, both of which were bland and deep fried and very unimaginative. Not what I have come to expect from the chef at RF!
Almost always a lovely and delicious dining experience. This time the food was excellent, as usual, but the portions seemed much smaller...but not the prices. Not a complaint exactly but noticeable and a wee bit too skimpy. The special swordfish was wonderful, as was the champagne dressing on the salad. I want the recipe...! Or do you bottle and sell it?
Thanks for keeping the quality up.
Ended up sitting at the bar and enjoyed a very knowledgeable bartender and the lamb and pork chop were amazing.
The compressed melon salad was exquisite
The food was mostly wonderful; the pork chop was very juicy and flavorful but way too much for one person! The stuffed squash blossoms were excellent but the arancini were bland . Scallops were very good. The burger was ordered rare and arrived well done. The service was extremely slow and the noise level was very high. A repeat visit to this will wait until they can have their kitchen keep up with the number of orders.
Excellent server. Nice atmosphere. Food good but for “farm to table” many dishes or sides were fried making freshness a moot point. Ex. a squash blossum appetizer mixed with cheese deep fried so the freshness of a delicate squash blossum lost. Pricey.
The Red Feather offers reliably good cuisine and fine wines. Great atmosphere for fine dining. Exceptional service.
