The Red Coach Inn
The French Onion soup and the Reuben were excellent!
It was just OK. Was hoping to get reservations at another steakhouse that evening, but couldn’t, so decided to try Red Coach. My friend ordered a strip steak, snd when it came out, it looked like it was cut in half. A half of strip steak looked very weird on her plate. Myself and other friend had Chicken French, and it was overwhelmingly drenched in lemon. The ambiance was very nice, especially fireplace on a cold evening. We ended up going elsewhere for dessert & after dinner drink as Red Coach was just OK, but not really good enough to stay.
This the second time we have met with American cousins. Great halfway point to reconnect and not too far from Toronto.
If you like a cozy, historical atmosphere, the Red Coach Inn is for you! Our server, Lindsey, was wonderful! The French onion soup was the perfect way to start our meal. I chose the meatloaf (what can I say? I love it and never make it for myself anymore) and my husband ate every bit of his surf and turf. After we finished, we took advantage of the Inn’s fantastic location and crossed the street to walk down to see the falls. Breathtaking! Highly recommend!
Excellent service, we loved our waitress but forgot her name unfortunately. Ambiance was quaint, quiet and Romantic! Food was very good. Great date spot
I had the meatloaf entree and the portion was huge! The green beans were perfect, not overcooked and very flavourful. The waitress recommended the pumpkin cheesecake and she was right, delicious.
Great service food was delicious too
Nice experience, like an 8. I hate empty glasses and previous course dishes on the table. But service was pleasant and not rushed. Lunch Food was tasty and portions were nice size. Drink glasses are small so expect the need for many refills. I would go back in the future.
Food and service was terrible and price for 2 breakfasts for $37 was ridiculous.
The lettuce was wilted
The scallops were not cleaned properly
Much too much pasta and not enough spinach
It was also too cold in the room by the windows. Heat was not on.
Late night and large group and something for everyone! Salmon, pear salad, and stuffed mushrooms - mmm!
The food was amazing..the drinks were great my husband had a cocktail with titos and i had a purple monkey and a upside down cake..our server shawn was anything past spectacular ..his service his recommendations .his attentiveness on point ..i had the grilled salmon with red bliss potatoes and green beans(yummy)..the salmon was not dry
.cooked to perfection..my husband buffalo wings and shrimp..i also had pot stickers (yummy) ..
My boyfriend and I went here for his Birthday dinner. Good portions, lovely ambiance, great waitress and host, nice and quiet and view of the falls park.
Red Carriage Inn has a nice ambiance with lovely views. Service was slow at first, however, once we received our beverages it seemed to move a little more smoothly. Our server was polite and apologetic for the delayed attention.
My only major complaint would be that although the food was delicious we were disappointed that the sides were room temperature.
The service was poor, we waited 20 mins just to be acknowledged by a waitress. I ordered a steak medium and my boyfriend ordered his medium well, my steak came out overcooked and his came out very under done. Atmosphere was nice.
Wonderful atmosphere, great food, and great service. Close to the falls and attractions. Definitely recommend.
The hostess was very rude on the phone and while seating. The food was good, but not as good as I would expect for the price. Our waitress was really nice, but the whole dinner felt rushed. I would not go back.
Friendly staff courteous nice menus very goodfood
The experience was amazing. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and charming. The hospitality and service was great. The food was exceptional and surprisingly nice portions. We will definitely be back.
Food was good. Chocolate Creme Broule I would not order again! Waitress was great but seemed rushed - maybe short staffed??
Went to Red Coach during restaurant week. Had a nice meal in an alcove located in the main dining area. Upon arrival we requested one of the numerous empty tables located on the brighter indoor patio, but was told those tables were reserved. Was unaware you could reserve a specific table. This option was not described or listed in the online reservation options menu.
Loved the idea of this old bed and breakfast. The American side of Niagra Falls is sorely lacking in decent places to dine. Thought this would work. It's a little off the beaten path, but not too far. Make reservations, though. My dining partner really liked his meal, mine was. very, very average with the exception of the vanilla raspberry cake. First round of drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. I think the staff might have been overwhelmed. Wine and spirits selections are not great (very moderate selection with no really nice wines). As for the decor, it probably was spectacular back in the day, it just sort of felt dirty and dark. Te curtains on the windows don't look like they have been cleaned since the place was built. Glad w weren't sitting under them. All in all, wasn't a horrible experience, but could have been much better if the service was a little faster and more service oriented (server was very nice, though). Since it was just past season, perhaps it just hasn't been re-womped yet. Try it with hope that it was just an off night.
Went for our wedding anniversary dinner and it was also local restaurant week! Had a great time!
The food might have been good, if it hadn't sat under the heat lamps for so long. This restaurant doesn't have any organization. The waitresses are very slow, because they don't have designated areas to work. Instead they work all over the place, which slows them down a lot. John, the bartender, is the only person and service I can recommend there.
Cute local place. The wait staff was nice, but the food was below par, especially for the price. Both my husband and I got the filets- mine was chewy. We’d both rather go to a Ruth’s Chris and spend a little more for a better quality meal. The best part of the meal was my glass of wine. Additionally- we sat near the window- which really needed a good cleaning, so that impacted the atmosphere for me.
Complete oversell on the Rapids room seeing the falls. Run down classic. Food marginal. Wouldnt go back. 13 year old Daughter didnt eat a bite of her $21 chicken parm. NOOOOOO
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, we had the surf & turf, cooked to perfection!
We enjoyed our dinner at the Red Coach Inn! The restaurant was open late, and we had been traveling and arrived at 9:30 for dinner. There was only one other table in the restaurant at that time, but we were greeted warmly and received very good service. We had the salmon and the ahi tuna, and both were very good. We would recommend this restaurant next time you are in town!
Wow, wow, wow! What a delightful experience at Niagara Falls. Since we stayed at the Red Coach Inn, we had breakfast there as well as dinner, and all were perfectly delightful. The food and service are super, and tables overlook the American rapids headed toward the falls. For dinner, be sure to have reservations for the best tables. For breakfast--it's included if you stay at the Inn, but the prices are extremely reasonable if you aren't, so definitely recommend it. And the ambiance of the Inn is just wonderful.
Had a 6:30 reservation. Got seated immediately. Took almost a half an hour before they finally took our order.
Food was delicious
Had to wait to be greeted and seated.
Once seated had to ask to be waited on as no server came to our table
I utterly love Red Coach Inn: its ambience, service, and menu.
Everything I've ever ordered has been fresh, and with homemade attention to detail.
I highly recommend RCI, whether you're sitting in a nook, a banquette, in their airy sunroom, or on the patio. Make time to walk to the Falls, just across the street and a short walk away.
While my food was amazing, my husband's beef tips were over cooked. The service was good, but we had to ask for water twice and she didn't check on us very often, in spite of the main dining room not being very busy. The chocolate creme brulee was delicious. Overall, the experience was very good, and if we're ever back in Niagara Falls we'll definitely be back.
Food was sub-par. For the price point, the food should have been much much better.
We asked to be seated on the patio so that we could hear the Niagara river rushing past. I enjoyed the cedar planked salmon while my brother had the swordfish, which he said was delicious. We splurged and each had a delicious dessert.
Our server were attentive without making us feel rushed in the slightest way. We both thought it was a good value for a great dining experience. I would definitely go back again and recommend this charming restaurant to all.
I would definitely recommend the Red Coach Inn. We went there for dinner (would recommend booking, it's usually pretty full). They have a good selection of cocktails and wines (glass and bottle).
The service was very friendly and efficient.
The food was also very good, with a fair amount of vegetarian options. We ordered two starters and a main dish for two and we barely ate half. The stuffed mushroom was great!
Would definitely go back
For us, this is the best place for any meal and it is right in the heart of Niagara Falls, NY and the park.
We are from out of state and visit here about every three years, never a bad meal.
Horrible waiter service. He did not even put my whole order in and to me so after asking when would my soup come out. Everyone was through eating so he assumed I did not want it. He did not come to our table once asking if everything was alright. HORRIBLE SERVICE
See my review on TripAdvisor, very bad experience
The food was very good, especially the crab cakes. I think they lack some professional training for the new wait staff however. We ordered an appetizer and our entrees at the same time. My husband specifically asked them to bring our appetizer out first. Sure enough, half way through our appetizer (those delicious crab cakes) they brought my cup of soup and our entrees at the same time. Really? So now our table is full of our appetizer we’re still eating, my soup and our entrees sitting on the side of the table. I hate that and I really think that it’s a training issue. The food was good and plentiful but their timing was terrible. I didn’t get the impression that they were just trying to turn tables.
