The Red Coach Inn
The experience was amazing. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and charming. The hospitality and service was great. The food was exceptional and surprisingly nice portions. We will definitely be back.
Food was good. Chocolate Creme Broule I would not order again! Waitress was great but seemed rushed - maybe short staffed??
Loved the idea of this old bed and breakfast. The American side of Niagra Falls is sorely lacking in decent places to dine. Thought this would work. It's a little off the beaten path, but not too far. Make reservations, though. My dining partner really liked his meal, mine was. very, very average with the exception of the vanilla raspberry cake. First round of drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. I think the staff might have been overwhelmed. Wine and spirits selections are not great (very moderate selection with no really nice wines). As for the decor, it probably was spectacular back in the day, it just sort of felt dirty and dark. Te curtains on the windows don't look like they have been cleaned since the place was built. Glad w weren't sitting under them. All in all, wasn't a horrible experience, but could have been much better if the service was a little faster and more service oriented (server was very nice, though). Since it was just past season, perhaps it just hasn't been re-womped yet. Try it with hope that it was just an off night.
Went for our wedding anniversary dinner and it was also local restaurant week! Had a great time!
The food might have been good, if it hadn't sat under the heat lamps for so long. This restaurant doesn't have any organization. The waitresses are very slow, because they don't have designated areas to work. Instead they work all over the place, which slows them down a lot. John, the bartender, is the only person and service I can recommend there.
Cute local place. The wait staff was nice, but the food was below par, especially for the price. Both my husband and I got the filets- mine was chewy. We’d both rather go to a Ruth’s Chris and spend a little more for a better quality meal. The best part of the meal was my glass of wine. Additionally- we sat near the window- which really needed a good cleaning, so that impacted the atmosphere for me.
Complete oversell on the Rapids room seeing the falls. Run down classic. Food marginal. Wouldnt go back. 13 year old Daughter didnt eat a bite of her $21 chicken parm. NOOOOOO
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, we had the surf & turf, cooked to perfection!
We enjoyed our dinner at the Red Coach Inn! The restaurant was open late, and we had been traveling and arrived at 9:30 for dinner. There was only one other table in the restaurant at that time, but we were greeted warmly and received very good service. We had the salmon and the ahi tuna, and both were very good. We would recommend this restaurant next time you are in town!
Wow, wow, wow! What a delightful experience at Niagara Falls. Since we stayed at the Red Coach Inn, we had breakfast there as well as dinner, and all were perfectly delightful. The food and service are super, and tables overlook the American rapids headed toward the falls. For dinner, be sure to have reservations for the best tables. For breakfast--it's included if you stay at the Inn, but the prices are extremely reasonable if you aren't, so definitely recommend it. And the ambiance of the Inn is just wonderful.
Had a 6:30 reservation. Got seated immediately. Took almost a half an hour before they finally took our order.
Food was delicious
Had to wait to be greeted and seated.
Once seated had to ask to be waited on as no server came to our table
I utterly love Red Coach Inn: its ambience, service, and menu.
Everything I've ever ordered has been fresh, and with homemade attention to detail.
I highly recommend RCI, whether you're sitting in a nook, a banquette, in their airy sunroom, or on the patio. Make time to walk to the Falls, just across the street and a short walk away.
While my food was amazing, my husband's beef tips were over cooked. The service was good, but we had to ask for water twice and she didn't check on us very often, in spite of the main dining room not being very busy. The chocolate creme brulee was delicious. Overall, the experience was very good, and if we're ever back in Niagara Falls we'll definitely be back.
Food was sub-par. For the price point, the food should have been much much better.
We asked to be seated on the patio so that we could hear the Niagara river rushing past. I enjoyed the cedar planked salmon while my brother had the swordfish, which he said was delicious. We splurged and each had a delicious dessert.
Our server were attentive without making us feel rushed in the slightest way. We both thought it was a good value for a great dining experience. I would definitely go back again and recommend this charming restaurant to all.
I would definitely recommend the Red Coach Inn. We went there for dinner (would recommend booking, it's usually pretty full). They have a good selection of cocktails and wines (glass and bottle).
The service was very friendly and efficient.
The food was also very good, with a fair amount of vegetarian options. We ordered two starters and a main dish for two and we barely ate half. The stuffed mushroom was great!
Would definitely go back
For us, this is the best place for any meal and it is right in the heart of Niagara Falls, NY and the park.
We are from out of state and visit here about every three years, never a bad meal.
Horrible waiter service. He did not even put my whole order in and to me so after asking when would my soup come out. Everyone was through eating so he assumed I did not want it. He did not come to our table once asking if everything was alright. HORRIBLE SERVICE
See my review on TripAdvisor, very bad experience
The food was very good, especially the crab cakes. I think they lack some professional training for the new wait staff however. We ordered an appetizer and our entrees at the same time. My husband specifically asked them to bring our appetizer out first. Sure enough, half way through our appetizer (those delicious crab cakes) they brought my cup of soup and our entrees at the same time. Really? So now our table is full of our appetizer we’re still eating, my soup and our entrees sitting on the side of the table. I hate that and I really think that it’s a training issue. The food was good and plentiful but their timing was terrible. I didn’t get the impression that they were just trying to turn tables.
Great food for a great price. Have been there twice now and both times had great food and service
Our waitress was awful. She only came to check on us one time, we ran out of drinks, she looked right at us when my daughter spilled ketchup and never came over there. She had a table full of people she knew and she attended to them the whole time. This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. The food was mediocre. I had the surf and turf and my steak was over cooked however the lobster was good. My husband had the mahi mahi and it was so over cooked that it was a chicken texture not the texture of fish. Overall I would not recommend this place. I was highly disappointed.
This restaurant was recommended by the Giacomo Hotel as the best in Niagara Falls. We were disappointed at the quality for the price.
After touring the Falls and our last night on vacation,we walked down to have dinner. It was delicious. From the Mediterranean plate to my lemon drop martini, everything was perfect. Our waitress was attentive but not intrusive and very helpful concerning the menu. A delightful ending to our vacation!
Seated promptly at reservation time. Atmosphere was pleasant. Quiet at the time we were there. Nice anniversary dinner. Service was very good. Food was excellent! I had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. Husband had New York strip which was also expertly prepared. We will return if in the area again.
This restaurant is horrible. The food is lifeless. The worst service I have ever experienced. Do NOT EAT HERE!
Mani Mahi, not really tasty. Overpriced.
The service was excellent, as was the food. I am very happy that we put this on our itinerary.
Waited. Service was subpar for restaurant which was not busy. Server was more interested in large table. After receiving food, never saw her again until bill. Special TBone was lathered with sauce that detracted from steak. Normally, would have sent back. Will not return unfortunately.
So glad we have this place another try.
The food was outstanding along with our waiter. We really enjoyed our dinner
Excellent staff attentive to details
We enjoyed our dinner so the next day we skipped our “free “ hotel breakfast and went back to the Red Coach instead.
Made reservations in advance for dinner on a Friday night before our visit, didn’t appear that a reservation was necessary. Delicious dinner! Came for breakfast on a Saturday and Sunday due to walking distance from our hotel, and because the food was that good, sat outside for each meal with a perfect view as you can hear the rapids. Very relaxing with good service. Would recommend to everyone for breakfast!
Be sure you do not get seated near the kitchen doors like we did. Turned a birthday celebration in a very unenjoyable experience.
great service... attentive, efficient and pleasant.
food was at best common
Fantastic experience with very noteworthy food features and drinks. Super classy place!
Food was very good. Nice intimate dinner for my spouse and I.
