Great meal live music in the bar area very relaxed fantastic wine at great prices
I was very impressed with your restaurant. The decor was especially great. We loved the big chairs at each table. Everyone in our party of six enjoyed their meal very much. We will certainly return even though we're quite far away (We live on Marco Island).
One suggestion: The wooden chairs aren't the most comfortable. A cushioned seat would be a welcome improvement!
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great evening!
This place is a gem. It is a real sleeper. Not much to look at from the outside, but very pleasantly surprised inside. Very tropical.. Fun atmosphere.. Good food. Fun outside bar.
Our group of four all enjoyed the experience at The Real Macaw. We felt like we were at a local place in the Virgin Islands! The food was outstanding!! All of us were pleased! We will definitely return!
Had a very nice Mothers Day brunch. Wish the weather would have cooperated to sit outside but nice cozy, lively restaurant.
Mother’s Day brunch. Steak and eggs. Awesome.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with dinner. It was hard to find the entrance and upon entering, we had to find somebody who would direct us. Nobody greeted us
However, once we entered the dinning area, the atmosphere was beautiful and service very professional and cordial.
We wound up sitting inside since it had rained. It was a quaint and tropical setting. We very much enjoyed the ambiance, food and service.
Not up to par this time. Salmon cooked beautifully but rice and veggies totally bland. Very little salsa also bland. Chair broken. Etc, etc, etc.
Mother's Day plus my wife's birthday, excellent service and meal
while a little loud, the food was excellent. Limited menu, but we all found something we liked. The majority had Mahi-Mahi. great. we had the california Pinot Noir which was nice if a bit pricey. One or two wines in the kunder $30 range would be welcomed, and there are many good wines out there . service was good.
We are not happy that open looking at "Open Table" they listed available times at 745 OR 800P. Period. no other choices. Software glitch. Dunno but caused us extra work.
Charming experience, great food, great service. Truly a neighborhood gem, we will be back.
Great food and service. One of my favorite local places to go!
Hidden gem that we never knew was there! We had the Kobe ribeye steak which was a special and onion soup which was delish and the salad with goat cheese and grilled peaches also the three nut encrusted salmon which was cooked perfectly we will definitely be going back before we head back up North
Always wonderful ambience, great service, & fantastic food! One of my favorite places to dine!
Always a must when down visiting Marco Island and it did not disappoint. Seafood chowder excellent special and the tuna superb as always.
Great food and service. Fun place!
It was a terrific dinner! Thank you for the great service!
Great little restaurant loaded with florida troplcal ambiance. We had a quiet table outside away from the live music, which by the way, was fun and lively. Good food. Good service. Good fun.
The food was good. Our waitress was nice. The hostess/manager/owner was an absolute witch. My boyfriend complained that his salad was very small for a $17 salad. It was. She said it was because of the goat cheese. She didn't offer anything but kept hovering and then later she said she would have if he hadn't been nasty. He wasn't nasty at all. She basically told him to leave and not come back. Needless to say, we won't.
This quaint eclectic venue has indoor & outdoor seating available as well as a separate bar area. They have a decent wine list, creative cocktails and a nice menu with an island flair. Food was reasonably priced and nicely portioned. Our server was knowledgeable and made good suggestions for both food and beverage choices. We love to out of town friends here, it always makes an impression!
Have eaten at The Real Macaw two times. Great service and food on both occasions.
Not an extensive menu but everything offered is prepared with care. Excellent as always, our friends were very impressed.
Exceptional food and service.
We had not been to this restaurant in some time and decided to dine there with some friends who had never been there. Most of the evening was fine. There were a couple of exceptions though. Our friend’s tuna tartare had a displeasing taste to it. We waited and waited for our server to come to the table to at least check to see how our appetizers were but she did not come. So I had to get up and find someone to explain the issue to, who was a different server, who was extremely accommodating. They took back the tuna tartare and replaced it with the salmon entree which was delicious. While everywhere else’s food was very good, the service was a definite issue. No one came to check on such minor things like refilling our water glasses, another glass of wine, or just to make sure everything was ok. I think we would certainly return, but I would sincerely hope that they place an emphasis on improving the service.
Love this place! In or out, music or not, the food, service and ambiance is great. Very different from restaurants in Olde Naples. Nice change
Delicious food, best crab cakes I've ever eaten, great service in a funky, old Florida style. My friends from Ct wete entranced. I'll be back.
So disappointed after reading other reviews of this restaurant raving about the food on other sites. I had the duck as did one other guest at our table. She said hers was dry. Mine tasted just ordinary, nothing special. Another one of our table mates had the steak. He also told me it was just ok. It looked really fatty and mushy. Our last table mate had the fish wrapped in phyllo. He thought it was very good. All in all, I thought this restaurant was over-priced, way over-priced for the dinners we received. I have eaten downtown Naples for less money and had better food. Moreover, the noise level is very loud. We could barely hear our conversation. The one positive thing I can say about our evening was that the server was attentive. I will not be going back.
We always enjoy Real Macaw, it has a fun ambiance with good food in a casual setting. David is always professional, attentive and knowledgeable. It’s a favorite for nice casual dining and always enjoy it!
Good tropical theme with steel drum island music. Nice atmosphere. Easy to schedule reservation. Very nice. Food was good. Service was very good.
A quirky upscale restaurant hidden in Naples is a must for your list of places to dine. The Johnnycakes with strawberry butter are amazing, order extra they are that good. I had the Duck and my wife had the fillo dough wrapped Mahi both were delicious. This is a place we will visit again.
Sorry to say that we missed The Real Macaw all season until last night. The food was good and the atmosphere was great. Inside and outside dining and cute neighborhood location. Must try.
Very slow with drink orders and the food also. My brother had fish that he hated. I didn’t like any of their fish on the menu. Very over priced on a lot of items
A neighborhood gem. Busy but relaxed. A good choice for that special occasion or meal. Unique decor. Would recommend to friends.
Fun, funky place with superb food.
This is a hidden gem a bit out of the way from downtown Naples, but the ambiance, service and food make any trip worth it. The menu is limited to what is fresh and available, and the preparation is careful and quick. Great cocktails and a grownup’s wine list.
Loved the funky decor with white tablecloth elegance. Wonderful service. Our party of eight enjoyed a wide variety of offerings and all were delicious. Creative use of flavors. Will be back!
Food and atmosphere was fantastic. A NAPLES hidden gem!
Our first time back in several years and it did not disappoint. Very unique and eclectic restaurant we enjoyed all of it despite the macaws are no longer there.
Chowder and portabello mushroom tower were excellent. Don’t order a pina colada; even the second try was somewhat tasteless.
