Quirky and slightly outdated decor. Food was good and service was great. Would have been better with a bigger crowd, it was empty that night.
Our server, Marsha, was fantastic, but she didn’t seem to have a lot if support. Waited quite a while for drinks and simple requests. Marsha apologized several times.
Pretty expensive place but the food was very good. We were surprised that it was so empty on a Saturday night. Service was fair. Had to ask for more bread, drinks etc. As slow as they were it surprised us that we had to ask for everything. I would go again if we are in Detroit.
A creative menu that made the choices for dinner interesting. Everything that we ordered was really very good.
Perch was excellent, dessert was outstanding and the coffee was great. Service was outstanding also.
Staff was very pleasant but not well trained. Food was ok but certain dishes were not well done. For instance salads were way over dressed. For these prices would expect great service and excellent food which this was not.
Food was outstanding but the service was horrible. The server took a long time to get to us and there were only three tables of people in the restaurant. Additionally, they gave us a dinner menu so after we ordered, they had to come back and change our order. Finally, although the food was outstanding, I feel it was overpriced, especially for lunch.
The service and ambiance is superb! The appetizers were outstanding...the main courses were a bit underwhelming (surprisingly served room temperature and was devoid of flavor). However, after expressing the concerns...they were gracious; apologetic and very accommodating. Overall, I would give it 4 stars. Thanks Rattlesnake Club.
We had a very enthusiast waitress who took our drink orders right away. We had to wait for quite a while before a server came with a bread basket, then longer still before our waitress came back. Our first course was delicious, and very enjoyable. Our main course was the Lamb Wellington. When it arrived it was immediately obvious that it had been over-cooked. Mine was a little past medium whereas my guest's was medium well - mostly brown. Though my guest did eat some of the lamb, we did complain. The waitress took the plate to the chef to let him know - which is all we asked - to pass on the information. The waitress returned with the plate, with a comment from the chef that it wasn't all over done. WITH HER FINGERS started to pry apart the lamb to show us! This was really quite appalling and should never happen at any restaurant, especially one like the Rattlesnake. The chef offered complimentary desserts in apology. The owner is a friend, and we will let her know what happened. It should not have. Makes me sad. I've always loved the Rattlesnake.
We went for the Fall menu and we were not disappointed! Started with the Crispy Brussel Sprouts for an appetizer! Flavor was outstanding with a smoked pepper drizzle. I had the hazelnut encrusted scallops with pumpkin risotto! I was craving it the next day! Hubby had the apple cider soaked duck breast. He said it was cooked to perfection. Also enjoyed a bottle of Spanish wine which was recommended by the GM. Couldn’t of asked for a better server, very attentive! Can’t wait to go back.
The service was bad. The restaurant was less than half full and the waitstaff still seemed to be flustered. Our waitress seemed to be annoyed while taking our order. The steaks are way overpriced for the quality.
The Rattlesnake Club had a nice atmosphere and the service was great. Our waitress made us feel very comfortable and didn't rush us at all. The scallops were great, the steak was good but a little overpriced in my opinion. The rest of the food was very good.
Very good service and food! I have not heard about it before and was very pleased! Definitelly a hidden Gem in Detroit.
We went there with friends. We indicated we had never been there before. We were all the way from Arizona and went there because of the reviews.
The service was slow, the food was undercooked and came out cold. It was very obvious the people I our party didn’t like the food, 75% of it was still on their plates, and nobody took the time to figure out the obvious...
I spent over $750 and was nothing but dissatisfied. I could go on and on..... I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
Rattlesnake doesn't miss! The crab cakes, salmon, scallops, fried oysters---all superb!
We come to the Rattlesnake every year for our anniversary dinner. Each year we are wowed by the warm hospitality, the seasonal menu, the beautiful views. We look forward to coming and are never disappointed, from the moment you walk in the door you're treated VIP. Thank you Rattlesnake Club for always making our anniversary dinner so special:)
Really nice food. But, they advertise a gluten free menu and they only have one entree that is gluten free. And, no gluten free bread. Really?
Our waitress Marsha was phenomenal, patient, informative pleasant. We did not feel rushed, and enjoyed the very special recipes for each item we ordered. OK
Prosciutto & Peach Salad and Seared Sea Scallops wt pappardelle: outstanding!
Always a special occasion when dining at The Rattlesnake Club. Linen tablecloths and excellent service. We enjoyed the summer menu and look forward to the fall entrees. You can’t beat the Fischer Theater Promotion. A classic restaurant with a contemporary vibe! Delicious!
Had the pleasure of dining here on Saturday it was amazing and I’ll definitely be back ❤️❤️❤️
This is a classic place that does not disappoint in terms of value and quality of service.
Everything was great. Food was really good. Great service
We loved the meal and our server Edward was very attentive and friendly
Always my “go to” restaurant for business meetings. Excellent service and it was a lovely day to dine on the patio. Had the Mexican Street Corn Salad with grilled shrimp a new addition to lunch selections. Delicious!!
Memorable location, food, and service. I had returned after many years of absence. I'm glad I did.
Our server, Brandon, was very knowledgeable about the menu and made exceptional cocktails. He was very attentive and responsive. My wife had an unexpected spice level on her original meal, but, Brandon made it right. The seating was in full view of the river and our whole party had an enjoyable evening. The quality of the food was excellent and a good value for the price.
Food was wonderful and the service was terrible. Not a busy night and we had little attention. Once our food arrived someone in our party had already ordered a glass of wine to come with dinner but we couldn’t locate our server. By the time she showed up we were halfway through our meal. Construction on the street makes it a little difficult to get to.
I celebrated my birthday there with my family. It was an excellent meal and the restaurant is lovely.
The Rattlesnake is one of Detroit's not-so-secret places that never fails to deliver. I haven't been there in years, and always wonder why we don't frequent it more. This time we sat on the patio, and could see the freighters and speed boats going by on the river, in the distance. The meal was delicious -- salads combined very interesting flavors of the season and the gulf shrimp entree I had was beautifully prepared with a kick of barbecue sauce. A memorable evening!
Excellent food and service. Outdoor area was wonderful. Was disappointed that more people weren't there.
Very good food and good service. We like to come to this restaurant very often.
Very nice venue for a celebration dinner.
This was our first visit to the restaurant. The ambiance was not what I expected, very bright red booths.
Unfortunately could not sit on the patio due to weather which was disappointing as the garden patio looks lovely. Edward was the server and he was quite attentive. The service overall was very good.
The selection of breads and the small details of the service was very nice.
The valet parking across the street is a definite bonus. We were celebrating a birthday and received a piece of cake with Happy Birthday written on the plate. That was a nice surprise and again nice small detail that makes the evening that little bit extra special. The wine selection they have is quite plentiful.
We had the summer menu and the choices were also plentiful.
Would go back again to sit on patio and sip on wine and watch the beautiful scenery .
The Rattlesnake never disappoints.
We always go for birthdays/anniversary. Service/food/ambiance unbeatable.
We attempted to sit outside, and construction was "out of control" loud with jack hammers breaking pavement ect. . We came back inside and a tour bus full of senior citizens showed up. I would rate the food "ok" to good, and the ambiance horrible.
Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re down there for a concert. Portions are small and pricey. Service was not great. Forgot our drinks and offered to bring them after we were done eating. Food is pricey and portions are small. Not really worth the money. A lot of better restaurants out there for the money. I asked for my vegetable on the side and apparently that was an unusual request and the waitress didn’t know if it was possible. That’s ridiculous.
We were greatly impressed with the attention to service, hospitality, and congeniality of everyone there. The food was as expected, very good. But the human touch was appreciated.
Our wait staff was very attentive. Food was amazing. We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. We were served a special Happy Anniversary dessert too!
