The Ranch Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Positive: great service, entrees were very good and French onion soup excellent.
Negative: we were sat across from bar even thou I requested not to to be (wanted a more quiet spot since we were celebrating anniversary. Annoyed w/ being seated from bar since bar area can get really loud)
Tried a new dessert (miso cheesecake)- not very good.
Probably will return but not for awhile since there are so many other good restaurants in OC and less $$
Had a wedding anniversary dinner with my husband last Sunday evening. our reservation was welcomed by friendly and courteous receptionists and the service was outstanding from the start to the very end. they served us two complimentary desserts too. Great food, professional service and reasonable price. I will definitely come back for more.
It was our anniversary dinner. The entire experience was fantastic. The portions were very generous, so come hungry. This is too shelf dinning, don't let the "cowboy" theme fool you. Everyone is a professional, and it shows. This will be where we spend our special occasions for the foreseeable future.
The evening started off on an interesting note. We pulled into an empty parking lot and parked in the third row. As I opened my wife's car door, I was approached by a young valet who informed me it would be $6 for valet parking or to park inside the lot. How petty! Out of simple principle, I had my family walk inside and I parked my car outside the fence. Our party of six then had an enjoyable $560 dinner with no further complaints. Great steaks. Excellent service, inside! Lobster macaroni not as good as it looks. Overall, a good experience.
We decided to have an anniversary dinner based upon several factors. While the staff was dressed classically many customers were dressed down, including shorts and tee shirts. We expected, at least for dinner, a more well dressed group of patrons.
We started with the trio of ceviche which was delicious. There was no chips or crackers so we ate with the bread. We skipped soup or salad and went right to the main course - a porterhouse for two. Cooked perfectly and included two sides. We chose the lobster max and cheese and creamed spinach. The spinach was bland but the mac and cheese was really good. Dessert was the Milky Way and Pecan Pie. Again, delicious.
I made this reservation for my girlfriend and my 3 year anniversary. The food was some of the best that we ever had and the the steak was PERFECT. We were seated right away even when we got there a little early than the reservation time the host was very polite. The food was very quick to come out as well. The waiter that was serving us was named Brent L. He was Awesome! Very polite, informative and his recommendations for the food and wine was very helpful. Very knowledgeable about the menu as well. He made the evening for myself and my girlfriend very enjoyable so thank you very much to the young man. Definitely a place to recommend and I will be going back multiple times. Thank you The Ranch!
The Ranch consistently provides delicious cuisine a fantastic wine selection and impeccable service. It is expensive, but worth it. Not necessarily suited for a strict vegetarian, but they have a good selection of sides that would meet that need, also ask the server for a vegetarian option if you are so inclined.
Celebrated my birthday dinner with 10 other people here. I love everything about the Ranch. I been here a few times before. The food and service never fails. My fiancé got the bone in New York steak special and O-M-Geee was it delicious! Definitely will be coming back!
The food was excellent! I loved the ambiance. Our server was a little snooty, but the manager was very friendly. I only gave it a 4 because I thought it was a little over-priced and because our server lacked the personal touch. I would definitely go back for the food!!!
