The Ranch Restaurant
First time dining here... amazing experience... tried four appetizers... all were fantastic... had the prime rib... delicious is an understatement... our waiter “Jason” was exceptional... we’ll be back within the month...
Great food, fast and friendly service. Chef made a butter popcorn ice cream for the birthday girl which was delicious
Out my waiter and the staff were so sweet and made us fell special. The food was amazing. We split the cowboy ribeye. It was amazing.
Food was fantastic as well as the service, would definitely recommend.
Wonderful experience, as always. The food is amazing and the service is out of this world.
Simply amazing!!!! I had the short rib!!! Just so good..... went next door to the saloon after.... great atmosphere....if you have dinner, the staff will walk you over to the saloon and waive the $10 entry fee...that was cool...
The wife and I come to dine here for celebratory dinners all the time! Every plate we've had there feels like it's been prepped for us and like a new burst of flavors thanks to the chef. Remember, You don't just win awards in Orange county by luck from the moment you open your doors for business.
First date night after our newborn baby.
The food was excellent. The waiters were well informed of the menu. The managers came by a few times to check on us. Will come back soon.
My wife and I went to The Ranch Restaurant for an anniversary celebration. There was nothing bad about the restaurant but you can find many places that are better. The atmosphere was dark and loud and made conversation challenging. The food was good but not worth the $200 (plus tip) that the meal cost. Service was prompt and courteous but nothing super special. The Ranch's distinguishing characteristic is the much of the food is grown locally on their nearby 2 acre farm plot.
My wife had the heirloom tomato salad, petite filet, and the zucchini dish. The salad was nice but not as flavorful as you would get from home-grown heirloom tomatoes. The filet was quite good and worth the $50 price. The zucchini dish was probably the best item we ordered with great freshness and flavor.
I also had the heirloom tomato salad, the short ribs, and creamed spinach. The short ribs were fine but nothing to write about. The creamed spinach was creamy but lacked flavor.
For dessert we shared the sticky toffee pudding with jack Daniel's ice cream. The dessert was ok but the size was tiny - enough for each of us to have about five bites. Coffee was nothing special.
Still good but I think the basil sauce for Escargo used be richer.
The complimentary flower bun used to be less dry.
We're never disappointed with The Ranch, and this dinner was no exception! Jimmy was absolutely fantastic and described the Starters so mouthwatering that we had to order!!! Another amazing date night!
I managed a restaurant for 20 years and I can safely tell you it was a great experience specially since we were celebrating our 47th anniversary!!
It was my first time eating at The Ranch. I gave “ambiance” 3 stars only because there was a family with little children, one being under a year old and it cried almost the entire time unless someone was holding it. I feel bad saying this but when I go to a 5 star restaurant with nice food I expect to not listen to crying children.
Love everything about this restaurant! Can’t wait to go back.
Food is Amazing! A little pricey but portions are nice, and the service is great. Great place to celebrate an occasion.
The food was good but wasn’t worth the price we paid. The ambiance is nice but it was difficult to read with the dark lighting.
This was my first time visiting The Ranch and I absolutely would recommend it to anyone and will be returning as soon as I can!
The food and service is great. Just wish the prices weren't so high so we could come more often.
Promptly seated. Our server was attentive and very helpful with suggestions. Food spectacular. Definitely on the “must go” when returning to Orange County.
This place is worth every penny! From the yellow watermelon margarita, to the perfectly cooked steak, your taste buds will never view food the same!
My filet was perfect and delicious. The best I've ever had!
We love the service at The Ranch. My Chilean sea bass was delicious. I didn’t care for the Cesar salad because it had too much dressing . My husband’s steak was very good. The prices have really increased so I would have expected everything to be exceptional.
Taste, ambiance, service, all top notch. Solid restaurant.
Stan and his team always do an outstanding job, but our visit last week was truly inspired.
We try to squeeze in meals before Ducks' games; but mostly we like the relaxed longer, no rush
Derek did a very good job as server; everyone was truly terrific!
Finest restaurant in Orange County, hands down.
We have enjoyed The Ranch for anniversaries and birthdays- a special place for special days.
The staff is so attentive and friendly; they lend an awful lot to your experience at this restaurant!
I love that the food is farm-to-table and the special menu always has items featuring what is in season.
This was our second visit to the Ranch. We came back to celebrate my husband's birthday because our first experience last September was so great. This time was not quite as wonderful. The food was still good, the service was good but it was SO loud (we requested a quiet table but found ourselves in the center of the large room) and we felt somewhat rushed (even on a Monday night). This may be on our part as we just returned from France where they give you the table for the entire night with no rush to turnover tables as there is in OC.
Our server was very kind. He definitely had a lot of tables for which he was responsible. The manager stopped by to greet us and my husband enjoyed the birthday card and the complimentary dessert. The farm to table concept is a wonderful dining experience and we will definitely return someday, but not so soon after a European vacation.
This is our third time to The Ranch and once again the service and food were phenomenal. Can't wait to go back again!
We celebrated my husbands Birthday Saturday night - food is always amazing - it was busy and things were a bit off but not horrible just not our. Normal experience - we love this restaurant and will always be back for our family celebrations
Mediocre food and bad service.
This the best restaurant experience my wife and I had ever had. The staff made us feel like we were the only couple in the restaurant. I have been recommending The Ranch to everyone I have met since and will to anyone going forward.
This place is our favorite steak place. The side orders are also great. Great service too. Other restaurants fall short one way or another, but this place has it all. Pricey, but worth the experience compared to others
Awesome all the way around.
Great service. Food was delicious! Server explain in details with questions on food and drinks recommendations. We saw the team work the restaurant had with different servers checking in with us and even a manager came by to greet us and check in with us. Overall, great place to dine.
All the food was delicious.
The server was too sales orient where he was trying to have his own agenda to sell the more expensive steaks instead of getting us what we wanted. Not a cool and relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Enjoyed a wonderful dining experience. The service was impeccable. The specialty pomegranate martini was refreshing and tasty. The farm-to-table heirloom tomato salad with basil dressing is delicious. The prime rib is the best - tender and savory - with amazing scalloped potatoes. The crème brulee, free for my birthday, was very good - better than the specialty chocolate dessert which wasn't very chocolaty. This is an expensive restaurant, but worth it for special occasions.
