The Ranch at Las Colinas Ratings and Reviews
I made a reservation yet when I arrived I was out in the same list/line as walk ins to be seated. Our server did not seem to know the menu very well, he was clumsy and not very service oriented. In my request I indicated it was a business meal and asked for a quiet corner and we were put at a loud table in the middle of the restaurant. Disappointing.
The food was EXCELLENT!
The service was great. However, the area where we were seated was comfortable. We couldn’t be moved to a different area since the place was packed. Idk I would suggest not offering a tight space for a group of five. I made reservation for 830. We were seated on time but I would’ve waited for a more spacious accommodation. Especially for a table of five.
Beautiful restaurant. I found the menu limited and pricey. I had the snapper and it was a large, thick piece of fish. It came with coleslaw and I'm glad that the waitress asked if that was okay. I substituted the brussels sprouts instead. My husband had the meatloaf which many reviews raved about. He said it was OK. Overall I wasn't that impressed with the food. I don't live in Dallas but won't go back while in town. Looks like a good place to go for groups. Our waitress was great.
OMG this place is sooo busy. I went for lunch and had to park a long distance away. They really need to have a valet parking option. Server was great. I had the chicken fried steak, wouldn't recommend it. One friend had the beef fajitas, those were great the other had the cobb salad and that was good too.
I work in the area and have lunch here about 2 times a month, my experiences have always been good; however, this visit was well below average. 2 of the 6 orders were wrong and the individual who brought the food seemed to be mad at us that there was a problem. They finally brought the right food but they need to make fewer mistakes and then respond positively when they do.
My husband and I reconnected with another friend-couple over an early dinner. The noise level was a little daunting; I felt like we had to yell to hear each other. But it was obvious that everyone in the restaurant was having a very good time. The food was exceptional; I had the pork chop for dinner with the faro and chard while my husband relished the prime rib. However, I was not impressed with the carrot cake for dessert. We were ecstatic that our favorite wine was available - Cakebread Cellars 2014 Cabernet. I will definitely recommend The Ranch for a high-end casual dining experience.
