About The Ranch at Las Colinas
The Ranch at Las Colinas is one of the few places on earth where a hard working ranch hand and a high powered business man can dine together and both feel comfortable. A restaurant with its roots reaching deep into Texas soil. Our shrimp and Redfish are caught from the Texas Gulf. We source our Texas Kobe Beef from the southern plains.
If you’re looking for a true taste of Texas, come to The Ranch at Las Colinas – a restaurant rich in Texas tradition with a wildly contemporary side.

The Ranch at Las Colinas Ratings and Reviews
I work in the area and have lunch here about 2 times a month, my experiences have always been good; however, this visit was well below average. 2 of the 6 orders were wrong and the individual who brought the food seemed to be mad at us that there was a problem. They finally brought the right food but they need to make fewer mistakes and then respond positively when they do.
My husband and I reconnected with another friend-couple over an early dinner. The noise level was a little daunting; I felt like we had to yell to hear each other. But it was obvious that everyone in the restaurant was having a very good time. The food was exceptional; I had the pork chop for dinner with the faro and chard while my husband relished the prime rib. However, I was not impressed with the carrot cake for dessert. We were ecstatic that our favorite wine was available - Cakebread Cellars 2014 Cabernet. I will definitely recommend The Ranch for a high-end casual dining experience.
Water and napkins were brought by buse boy and Slammed as if he was in a big hurry out or reach . We sat looking at our salad waiting for some salt n pepper so long we borrowed from our neighbors table. Ehen he got sround to bringing them he had no apology not a word just put them down at the edge of the table n left. He brought the check without asking if we eould like dessert or drinks. The Pecan pie was deluverd but no forks, so another wait while ice cream melted.
No offerof crushed pepper for salad or Steak.
Sad to be made to feel as if we were an inconvenience.
We went to the Ranch sight unseen, without knowing anyone who recommended it. We were in town for a very nice marriage enrichment retreat and this dinner was tremendous! The only thing that we wished for & didn't receive was complimentary bread with or before the meal. Since we are "tea total-ers" we cant speak to the booze selections, but the whole place is very positive toward locally produced foods and beverages.
Booked a reservation through OT, we were seated on the indoor patio in the middle of the day so we had to move around to avoid the sun coming through the skylights. Service was terrible. Drink refills took up to 10 mins, when one guy's salad came out, they brought one other guy's entree, the timing obviously misentered by the server. The rest of our entrees came out about 20 mins later. As for the food, the chicken fried chicken was pretty good, not the best I've ever had but not a bad choice. Its not on the menu but you can still ask for it. However, I would caution against the Mac and Cheese. The cheese is too liquidy, not creamy and melty like you'd want it, and they put way too much cheese for the amount of pasta and breadcrumbs, the whole ratio is just off.
Overall, the service isn't always bad, I've had much better servers before. Sitting inside is usually not a problem so maybe next time will have to make sure to ask for it. The food is pretty consistent, the chicken fried chicken/steak is pretty good but ill be avoiding the Mac and Cheese if I find myself at the Ranch again.
Table for 1, seated in the bar area, Daniela was my server. Everything was perfect. The steak was a perfect medium rare, wedge salad was full of flavor, elk tacos were good with a nice presentation. The cadi-mac pasta was a little stuck together, but that did nothing to the taste. Perfect breadcrumbs on top with no burning and all texture.
Daniela kept my drink full, made a couple good suggestions, and was always polite and smiling. Unless the steakhouse I go to tonight is amazing, I’ll probably try to eat there again tomorrow before my flight.
Things were that good.
1- Uber they don't have enough parking or Valet -1 star
2-just show up get faster service than reservation -1 star
3- they prioritize certain crowd, hostess bypassed us to ask recent arrival about their sign in -1 star
4-Felt like 1960s not a welcoming environment. Food was good but doubt we will visit again......
