I think my server had too many tables. She was not as attentive as The Ranch servers have been in the past.
This a great place to eat. The service is great. The ambiance is nice. The food was great. The red snapper is awesome.
Took my Mom and Stepfather there along with other family members visiting from out of town. Service and Food were excellent as usual and they really enjoyed it!
Food was very disappointing, lack of flavor and the end results on our plate didn’t match the expectations when reading the menu. Everything is sourced locally, or within the state, but nothing my wife and I ate tasted authentic to Texas. It’s almost like whoever is in charge of the menu has never experienced true Texan food and just because you reference the “Hill Country” doesn’t mean you know how to execute the menu effectively.
Was actually disappointed. The reviews on this place on Yelp and here was rated pretty high. Maybe more of a dinner place cause brunch was not up to par. The menu options are great. But, the FOOD WAS NOT HOT AT ALL. The hottest thing was probably the coffee. The biscuits were hard not fluffy at all. I got chicken and waffles. The chicken was good, but the waffle was AWFUL! I don’t know how you can screw up a waffle. They put eggs on the waffle, the chicken is on the plate with the gravy over that. There was barely any syrup on the waffle UNDER the eggs. I had to request more syrup. Sunday brunch is my cheat meal for my whole week and was NOT happy I wasted my carbs on their waffle & biscuits. I know that sounds vain, but I look forward ALL week to my Sunday brunch. SO, unfortunately my review is not really in they’re favor, but hopes this will help them re-evaluate some of their food quality.
Make sure to have a reservation or you be waiting. Service was excellent. The menu was hard to follow. Wine selection was outstanding. Food was delicious. My girlfriend and I ordered the 13oz ribeye and a few sides, everything tasted amazing.
Carmelita was a very great server. She was personable and very graceful. The service, the food and the drinks were all elevated. It made our night really special!
Waited at our table a long time before being served. Food was okay but meatloaf was way overcooked. Bad service, especially when the waitress took my fork before entrees arrived, and didn’t return until we were done (I shared a fork with my wife). We won’t be back anytime soon.
Brielle was our waitress, there’s so much I could say about her; she was kind, informative, and attentive among many other things. The food was AMAZING! I love farm to table dining, but this was by far the best I’ve had. A good home style breakfast, with perfect portion sizing. I left feeling full, not stuffed, and completely satisfied. I will be returning and also suggesting for others! Thanks for the great experience!
Great service and great food! My go to for lunch in Las Colinas!
Our food was cold by the time it got to our table. We all ordered different items, pork chop, fish, cheeseburger. Everything was cold.
Really enjoyed the food and the restaurant itself.
Food and drinks are reliably good. Our server was just a joy. The bartender remembered a specialty drink from 18 months ago. They ran out of the popular dessert option, but the bread pudding was super yummy.
Beautiful place to celebrate birthday, anniversary. Food was delish, I had chicken and waffles and took leftovers. Waitress was friendly and our party was 12 on 2 tables. She was quick and attentive. Highly recommend will go back. They even let us bring a birthday cake!
Our waiter seemed to be a bit overwhelmed. But he was polite.
Never been before. Drove a long way because it looked cool. The environment seemed nice. Wanted some live music. They had a private party and no music. Appetitizer was good. Food was poor, chicken fried steak. Service very poor, looked like he had to many tables. But was nice.
Nice restaurant. Food was delicious!
We chose this restaurant since we were staying in the area and it was a wonderful choice. We were seated promptly at our reservation time and were served by a sweet waitress. The timing of receiving our appetizers and entrees was perfect. The ambiance was not too noisy, which was great for conversation. The food tasted amazing, from the queso to the flatbread and dessert. Great restaurant overall.
Interesting menu with sourced ingredients. Half price wine bottles on Saturday. Some confusion initially on who our waiter was, but it was resolved. Good experience overall.
It was our second time there and the Food and Service was just as good as the first time and actually the reason we returned. This is becoming one of our favorite places.
First time to visit. The food was great. We will be back. Great music too. It was a fun experience.
Meat was under cooked. It was medium rare but we received it somewhat cold and it was very pink inside.
We had a wonderful date night with wonderful food and a very knowledgeable server. I have a gluten allergy and he had a list of items I could have in his waiter book. Just an amazing night.
We went for our anniversary, and were given a quieter booth. The menu is full of items I wanted to order, and all sourced from Texas. Drinks and food were amazing. Would highly recommend for a night out.
Heidi was amazing the food was delicious!
Once again this place is just awesome. Steaks are always on point and delicious. We were originally sat in the bar side and the manager kindly moved us over to the dining room side and it made my mother in law so happy since she had never been there. The ranch is the restaurant I always like to take my guests who come into town no matter the occasion. Not sure who the manager on duty was a talked to last night but thx for being kind and getting us to a great table and made our dining experience as good as it could be. We had a great night!!!
Very nice restaurant with great atmosphere. Great service too. I always enjoy going to the Ranch.
Once again another great experience, when at lunch/brunch great service, went for a birthday, server said the dessert was on them, was on point with everything, refilled drinks and was attentive
Fantastic servers. Outstanding value for money.
A very enjoyable dining experience. Recommended to all!
Came to celebrate our son’s anniversary. The restaurant has an expansive, rustic design. There are separate areas for dining including an enclosed porch area with a fire pit. Live music was nice on a Friday night without interfering with our conversation.
The room was uncomfortably cold despite turning off ceiling fans. Two in our group ordered coffee to try to get warm and the outside temp was 100 degrees. Seriously, turn up the AC because it’s just too cold.
Waitress was great/attentive and professional.
Appetizers-we ordered a sampler platter with queso/elk tacos/onion rings/and fried green tomatoes. These were all delicious- queso was our least favorite.
The appetizers were probably better than our meals.
Bar drinks were good/pricey at $12 and up!
Chicken fried steak was ok. I wouldn’t order it again
Salads were good. Other steaks and sides were average including the Brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese. For the cost, it is not a great value. I don’t think we will go back.
Understaffed. Food was fantastic.
Everything was excellent as always. The Ranch is an almost weekly visit for us and our go-to date night place.
They were very busy when we arrived, so it took a while before we got a server to attend to us. However, when they realized that, they were very solicitous and generous in making it up to us. The food was excellent as was the service once things got on track. There are various seating areas, some noisier than others. We were in a quieter area, easy to hear each other. We will definitely go back again! And save room for dessert!
Hayden was a stud server. Food, drinks and service, ALL on point!
We go to The Ranch on a regular basis - we've celebrated everything from birthdays and anniversaries to new jobs and every time, the staff delivers....every time. I can't say enough great things about the restaurant and staff. If you haven't tried The Ranch yet, it's time you did!
Awesome food and wait staff very knowledgeable and on point. Exceptional wine and whiskey!
Pleasantly surprised! I’ve been riding past this gem for 3 years and have clearly been missing. Service was attentive from the time we entered until we left. Bar drinks were such that you didn’t question if alcohol had been poured. Food was very well seasoned and appropriate portions. Great scene for date, girl or guys night out, family celebrations and all in between. Adding to my list when our-of-town guest come in. Will return soon.
Queso was outstanding...the cheese they use was top quality (not watered down), wagyu chicken fried steak was top notch (could cut with a fork), venison chili was on point (very hearty and filling). And the happy hour drinks ...awesome!!! Frozen Long island ice tea will getcha! It will sneak up on ya but it is soooo good!!
Excellent service, and the food was good. I had the Cobb salad. The only negative was that The Ranch is very noisy; it is hard to carry on a conversation. We were lucky that the kind maitre d' arranged a table in the corner for us. She was just one of several nice, professional staff we encountered.
Overall a great spot that we will be happy to visit again.
