Had the salad with Gulf shrimp and crab
The shrimp was something Ii would expect from Walmart.
Crab was non existent. I would expect better from the Ranch.
Great place to eat wether your networking, out with family and friends or trying to have a romantic night.
Food is amazing and get a reservation because they are always a packed house!
Everything was really good. No complaints except they have lots of allocated bourbon on their menu that they don’t have in stock.
Server didn’t know much about the menu. Food came out without all the sides and didn’t have a steak knife with my pork chop so I could barely cut it. She didn’t come by to ask until everyone else was almost done eating. Food was decent this time but quality at Haywire seems superior.
We saw great ratings and were so excited to try The Ranch! The service was great but the food not so much:-( I love a good ribeye and was excited to try theirs. Sadly it was very tough and average in flavor. I also chose the grilled zucchini as a side and it literally had no flavor and no grilled marks or flavor whatsoever. My husband had the filet and said it was good but not great especially at the price point. It was tender but not much flavor. He did love the Brussel sprouts he got as a side dish. Sorry - hate posting something not so positive but the food was average at best and we expected more based not he reviews and the price.
Good food and great service. It was very loud and difficult to carry on a conversation.
I don’t like cornbread but There’s IS TO DIE FOR
ATE every last bite
Also the wedge salad with blue cheese was kick butt
I also paid for it later
Menu options are incredible. I do not think you can make a wrong decision.
Excellent service and truly wonderful steaks. Be sure to try the queso dip and fried green tomatoes for appetizers. The NY Strip is a magnificent cut and would compete with any high end steakhouse.
The Ranch is easily one of the best restaurants I've been to in DFW. Excellent food, service, and environment. Shout out to my server Nicole who is amazing and made tremendous recommendations which made my first visit memorable! I look forward to my next visit!
Met a longtime friend for birthday lunch. Service and food were great.
Server was so so.
I've been to The Ranch before. The food tastes good, but is expensive for what you get. I would expect a 'better' dining experience. Areas where I feel they fall short: more people to greet me at the front door than to service the table. I only get a steak knife if I get a steak (one person in our party had ribs, and they were not fall-off-the-bone tender). Garlic stuffed filet was just that - garlic cloves shoved in the sides. Where is the rosemary butter? What about a glace? My martini glass had fingerprints. one person's knife was wobbly. The room(s) were very loud.
I just don't think I'll go there again, unless visiting guests insist.
Our first experience at The Ranch was among our best fine dining experiences anywhere anytime. Our server recently completed his sommelier training and started the evening with delightful conversation and a brilliant recommendation that was 1/2 price since it was Saturday. His food recommendations- steak and chipotle meatloaf- were also excellent -taste and texture-, as was the dessert. The small wedge salad is killer! The prices are very reasonable all around given the quality. The ambiance was both intimate when talking one on one yet a large room where you can chat with neighbors if you like. In the end, we personally thanked the manager and vowed to return again soon.
We went here to celebrate a birthday. The waitress recommended the chicken fried steak which was fantastic (and I'm a cfs snob!) The onion rings, elk tacos, and queso were so flavorful. The cake and ice cream was amazing as well. Everything is so fresh. The only thing that wasn't a hit was the fries for us.
We went here for Valentines Day and it was quite busy as you would expect! The food was amazing, but service was a bit slow. I don’t know if this was due to the day or not. However, we will be back to try them on a regular day as well because the food and drinks were awesome!
Food was awesome, staff was awesome. On a day like Valentines Day, they were very efficient
Steak was very cold as if they let it sit for a very long time.
Great valentines meal.
Not great value for the price paid. Drinks at the bar were good and strong. However food, specifically seafood, tasted as if just bought it from Applebees. Too expensive for that next level taste.
Loved the ambiance & service. I ordered my strip Medium Rare. Surprisingly it came out medium well and then rare when they remade it. It was still delicious!
We frequent the Ranch and even had our rehearsal dinner here a few years ago. It’s always great and never have complaints, however one small issue this time was that my bone in ribeye was tougher than normal and very fatty and had a lot gristle. Once I cut that off it was good. I should have gone with the filet instead.
We went here on Valentine's Day and had a great experience. Appetizers, food and dessert were great. Our waitress took great care of us and all the ladies got a complimentary rose. We really enjoyed our experience. The ambiance was nice too. We will go back if ever in that area again.
Our Valentine’s Day dinner was fantastic. Our server Alex was probably the best server I’ve ever had. Great food and a great evening for my wife and I.
Food was good, maybe a tad overpriced. The wine list was definitely overpriced. Our server was great and the atmosphere was cozy with the noise level the perfect balance of being not too quiet or loud. We had a reservation so we were seated promptly.
First time there. We drove from Azle. Loved it. Sammy our server was great. Treated us like we've been there before. Thank you Sammy. See you again.
We could not find a babysitter so we took the kids with us to an early dinner at The Ranch. The service was excellent and most of the food was amazing. A couple of things came out a bit cold but it is to be expected on a day this busy. Overall everything was great and we had a good time.
Excellent food and service!!!
The server Ryan was amazing.
Went out of their way to return the iPad I left. Service and food excellent.
Great food and great atmosphere
Date night for my girlfriends birthday. Moderate dining out compared to what we typically do [Dakotas, Five Sixty, etc] but the live music was a good relaxing and casual dining out experience.
I come here often and normally my experiences are better than tonight.
Just a few items of note:
- When you bring out the elk tacos which are in a rack sitting on a plate and not touching the plate itself, the plate is not expected to be hot but if it is, warn the customer. My plate was scalding hot and I grabbed it after which the waiter said “oh yea. The plates really hot”.
- When did you change the alcohol content in the Texas Tea? Tonight I pretty much had a frozen sugary fruit drink. Think: SLURPEE.
- The fries under the catfish were an inedible pile of greasy mush.
Hopefully this was just an unusual off-night and the next visit will be back to normal.
BEWARE - when you make a reservation for dinner, they will seat you at a tiny high-top table in the bar instead of a normal table in the dining room.
There is no place to put your purse, so you have to hold it in your lap. There is also no room for food and drinks on the table...this actually won’t be a problem because you will never be served or even acknowledged. We actually got up and left last night.
This is the 3rd strike for this restaurant for us and we will not be going back. It’s a shame because the food is really good.
Great service and food, chicken fried steak is outstanding, great vibrant scene
Great food with a really nice variety. A great taste of Texas. Excellent drinks and service. Thanks!
