The Ranch was fantastic at accommodating our group. Amongst the 5 of us, one had a serious garlic allergy. The server was proactive ensuring none of our meal contained even a hint of garlic. When one of us didn’t enjoy a meal, she once again hopped into action making sure it was taken care of. To have a server respond in such a considerate and proactive manner speaks volumes of the leadership style of The Ranch. Thank you for an excellent evening.
Loved the elk tacos, Mac n cheese was less than desirable
Excellent food! Had the Friday brisket special a unique potato salad that was amazing. Could be an every Friday thing going forward.
The Ranch has a great menu and great service. Top rate ! We love this restaurant!
Just great! A nice surprise for us as first-timers!
I had the Chicken Fried Steak and I've had a lot better many other places. Way over priced for what you got. I only drink water and they provided a very small glass that had to be refilled many times which was a waste serving time for the server. When I first got their I asked for a quiet place on the patio and many tables were available and the hostess put us at a table in front of a tv with a football game on. Requested to be moved which was annoying since I had asked for a quiet location.
2 couples went to dinner. 2 individuals had chicken fried chicken, 1 had chicken fried steak. The 4th individual had red sapper. The chicken fried chicken & steak were over cooked, very thin and tasteless. We should have sent it back. The red snapper was excellent as were all 4 salads we had. The price of the chicken fried dinners was high. The red snapper was priced correctly for the excellent quality. On a positive note, the service was very good, the wine was very good and the ambiance excellent. Advice to others: go to a steakhouse for steak or high end fish...never chicken fried!
Not really good service, maybe it was busy. Whiskey BBQ ribs was dried and burned.
We had a very nice time. The food was very good and our server was outstanding.
Always fun. A bit pricey but there are good options for reasonable prices. Quality of food, service and atmosphere makes this a go to place
One of my go to places when in town. Love the atmosphere and the food. Enjoyed by both of my teenagers as well.
Good food great service! Thanks Kyle for making my kids laugh
The Ranch is one of my favorite places to eat in Irving. The service is great & the food excellent . It remains one of my “ go to” restaurants.
Everything was fine except for 2 individuals on the nearest table having a shouting match and cussing with no regard to the other costumers. No one from the staff did anything to quiet them down.
Food is always good. Miss the turkey burgers and Brussel sprouts!
My experience the night of the reservation was great. We got a table and had dinner and everything was good. The previous night we had sat at the bar to watch the game and had a few appetizers and drinks and had the worst service ever. Even the couple sitting next to us leaned over at one point and said “is it just us or is the service here terrible?” Idk what was going on with the bartender but it was like serving us was the last thing on her mind. I sat with and empty wine glass and water glass for so long at one point we just couldn’t believe it. And the bar was not even busy she literally had 4 customers to take care of. The only reason we came back the next night for dinner was because the food was so good.
We ate outdoors. Lovely. Live music that was not intrusive. Food was good. Half price bottles of wine on Saturday! Great deal!
The food was excellent. We had The charcuterie board (Yum) and share the crab topped redfish. The only disappointment was the lack of crab meat on the fish. They was maybe a tablespoon. For the 29.00 price, we expected a little more.
I will probably never go back to this place again...4 cars were broken into...including the guy I was on a date with. It's very unfortunate...the manager didn't offer any sympathy or anything.
This is the place we go to treat ourselves every time we want to treat ourselves🤣. Excellent fresh food, service is always very good, they have their own brews. 👍👍👍👍👍
The patio was the perfect setting. There was wonderful musical entertainment. Many choices from the menu.
The waiter was not very attentive and we asked for steak well done and got it medium well.
We tried this place for the first time during restaurant week and we really enjoyed it. Nice variety of options, everything was delicious and the serving sizes were perfect. Our favorite dish was the venison chili and corn bread. We went on a Saturday evening and took advantage of half off all bottles of wine. The dessert was to die for. The only thing I'd suggest is to serve the pecan pie warmed. We'll be back!
Restaurant week menu was amazing! Service was excellent! We will be back!!!
Family visiting from California.
Went out to dinner with friends and were greeted warmly by the hostess! Food was excellent, as always. Service was great. Had a wonderful evening!
Thank you Christina, we finally got to meet her in person, previous emails, texts, phone tag, she addressed the concerns we had on a previous visits. Very sweet lady, helpful. Although I did not expect my complete meal to be taken care of, I do appreciate this. We will return again
Mark, Thank you so much for the review - I really appreciate it. I look forward to your return, will you please reach out to me whenever that is and I will personally take care of the reservation for you? Thank you again for giving us another chance. Christine Agee Managing Partner
I had the chicken fried steak it was very thin...not worth it. Chicken fried chicken is a much better choice.
Went out for date night with my husband. Spacious and inviting surroundings. Service was good, attentive, but not hovering, unfortunately the food just wasn’t very good. My husband’s steak was ordered rare, but was bland and overcooked (medium well). Mine was over seasoned, and way too salty. We make better at home for a fraction of the price. Disappointed.
Great service and AMAZING food! We will definitely be back for another date night at the ranch.
Very spacious restaurant with plenty of seating, areas for business dinners, small patio and bar area. We made reservations via open table app and was seated promptly. Our server greeted us quickly and took our drink orders in a timely manner.
For the ladies recommend the frozen Texas tea, wife loved it. I wish they carried Pacifico or Corona.
Wife had the grilled chipotle meatloaf with mashed potatoes and roasted zucchini and yellow squash; vegetables were really good. I had the chicken fried chicken with awesome jalapeño cream gravy, mashed potatoes and sauté green beans. Chicken fry was excellent, crisp coating and juicy tender chicken; mashed potatoes are creamy and greens beans were crisp and fresh. Overall excellent dinning experience and impressed the manger came over to our table and held a warm conversation.
It was a good time
A party of 8 and most of our dinner came before our appetizers. Manager and staff was great but the damage was done.
It was great. The food and drinks came out great. It was just a great environment.
One of our favorite places to eat. The pork chops and meatloaf are perfect! Great wine list. The cornbread muffins make are so good we ate them for dessert:)
Came here for a birthday dinner for my mom, everything was amazing, we sat out and listened to the live music. The food is incredible and highly recommend this place
This is a restaurant I have been wanting to try for a while now, so I took a friend with me to see if the ratings held up to their name. With COVID still prevalent, you would expect restaurants to be up on their game! I ordered the chicken fried chicken. I was less than impressed. The photos looked incredible, but the reality was less than satisfactory. In fact I gave the other half of my chicken to my friend. The potatoes were bland. To top it off I ordered pecan pie with a scoop of ice cream. One would think the pie would be warm and gooey...allowing the ice cream to melt on top of it. Well.....it came out COLD! The ice cream wouldn’t even attempt to melt. I’ve never been so disappointed in my favorite dessert choice...EVER! The service was the only good thing unfortunately.
