The Quarter Bistro
The award-winning combination of seasonal cuisine and sophisticated ambiance are just the beginning of an unforgettable experience.
As Cincinnati's premier "contemporary" bistro, the menu presents all things classic and creative in balance. Fresh fish and game daily? Of course. Outstanding wines at a great value? No Question. Whether it's a beautiful summer evening on the patio, a romantic wine and dine for two, or a down-to-business dinner for ten, The Quarter Bistro has it covered.
Our favorite restaurant in Cincinnati. Staff is always so friendly and extremely efficient. Great food.
Nice evening with movie to follow. The dinner was delecious and I recommend the beet salad.
The food here is good. The prices are very high. The service is just ok. There were 4 of us, 2 were teenagers, so only 2 of us had an alcoholic drink. The wait staff bumped into my chair 3 times, so the tables are crowded in. We were brought the wrong salads. The waitress forgot to bring more bread when asked. For a suburban restaurant, the price does not merit the value. We will pass on this place next time.
Good, but not quite up to the usual excellence. Inexperienced, but very personable server, made many minor mistakes. Maple chicken too sweet, otherwise food and wine good. Dine at the Qtr around 8-10 times a year, so we’ll be back, we love it. It was just slightly off this time.
Short ribs are terrific
Fantastic. It was my birthday and everyone one was great. My son had called ahead for a special desert and it was awesome. Wine was suggested and was as described. Thank you.
Enjoyable dinner. Excellent bar service and drinks. Terrific beet salad. Cannot beat the convenience to see a movie at Mariemont. The restaurant is attached walk right on through!
Great time sitting in the bar area. Friendly and attentive bar tenders. Food was excellent as always.
The bread pudding was so wonderful!
The staff was helpful with choosing a dish. It was nice to have prompt service but no one over bearing. The food was delicious and we can’t wait to try more options on the menu.
Katy is the best!
My husbands birthday. They brought a fabulous comped dessert! Food was delicious!
Both had the lamb. Outstanding. Cooked perfectly. Side were excellent too. Asparagus and risotto. Service was dead on.
Tried the apricot Manhattan, excellent but pricey. I would order it again despite its price tag.
We collectively had: mushroom bisque, mushroom risotto, shrimp tacos, steak frites w/Brussel sprouts instead of fries. Bisque, risotto and steak were terrific. Tacos were fine. I would try other menu items before ordering them again.
Wine selection is good. We had the Merlot and Riesling, both on most wine lists, and quite satisfactory.
Irish coffee was great.
The room is very attractive. My wife loves this place and it is one of a few restaurants in our rotation when going to Mariemont for a movie or theater at Mariemont Players.
W have been there before but this was just very poor! I ordered the halibut special as did my friends wife. The service was extraordinarily slow. When mine arrived. it was dry and just warm. It appeared as if it had been sitting out for a lengthy bit of time, like we had been forgotten. The ladies was not as bad but not acceptable. I sent mine back (we both did actually) and when mine arrived it did not appear cooked all the way through (it had a translucent color and the ladies' was not great either.
My wife had ordered a diet coke to be brought with dinner. When she finally asked for it, the ice was melted. Our drinks were good but hers was terrible and they replaced it.
I would answer no to my recommendation of the place but it is generally not like this.
always great food, great service and great time at The Quarter Bistro!
I recommend Quarter Bistro. Aside from a few minor service bumps at the beginning, it was a very good meal. I didn't care for the lobster and crab bisque - it was fishy and thin, not creamy, and sort of bland. However...the tomahawk pork chop was the best chop I've ever eaten! It was served with Dijon potatoes and a wonderful sauce. My dining partner had the 18-hour short rib- which melted in your mouth and was intense and rich with flavor. Aside from being a bit loud it was a good meal. Go. Eat.
great food but way too loud and congested. we had a table in the middle of restaurant and they had lots of people standing around us talking and bumping into us and our table. otherwise the food and service was great.
We went for the halibut fish. It’s been a while since we had it. The fish was dry and comparatively small. It appeared to be about 4-5 ounces with a $40.00 price tag. I don’t mind paying for a good meal. But 4-5 ounces of fish and 1/4 cup of risotto did not seem like a fair price.
Always dependable for good food, drinks and service. If you're lucky, the weather will allow you to be outside for your best experience.
This place met beyond my expectations. It was a great spot for our out of town clients. The service and food was amazing. The best part was we were the last guest in the resturant and they didn't rush us at all. I was surprised by the spiciness of my shrimp tacos, so my server had the chef remake the dish to take home that was not spicy! I can't wait to go back! It is a shame it has taken us so long to get here!
And some of the best food in the city
Overall good experience. The steak I bought was a tad stringy but good flavor. Our server had a fantastic personality. Made our evening enjoyable.
The food was wonderful as always, and the wait staff very friendly, however it took a long time for our food to arrive and the services were less attentive compared to previous visits.
I had the Braised Pork Shank and my wife had the Short. Both were cooked to perfection and have deep flavors. The service was spot on and the Manager came by and said hi - always a good touch.
this was the worst experience I’ve had in Cincinnati. When we walked in, we kindly mentioned we had reservations in which the hostess told us they were getting our table ready. Their attitude came off stand offish and felt like we were a burden to them. We then waited 10 minutes for our “table to be ready” before a table of 7 just walked in and were immediately sat down. no one ever gave us an update or engaged us so we left and enjoyed a nice dinner else where that was more crowded and we got a table immediately with no reservations. I will not be back.
The menu is broad and the food is very good. I had the salmon entree, and it is one of the better salmon dishes that I have had in town. If you are able to sit on the patio, the ambiance is very nice. The problem with the restaurant is the service from the kitchen. We had a 6:45p reservation on Saturday and were seated promptly. We ordered wine, which came fairly quickly (we were seated at the bar), one salad and two entrees. The complimentary bread arrived shortly after the wine. The salad arrived 30 minutes later. The entrees came at 8:00p. The restaurant was perhaps half full. This is the third time in a row that we have had slow service from the kitchen at the Quarter Bistro.
The chef has tinkered with the menu. Although the standbys are still there, he has improved on the offerings. The ravioli is out of this world.
Could possibly be the most pretentious clientele I have ever experienced in my over 40 years of restaurant dining throughout the United States.
Everyone was amazing!
Wonderful experience. Great setting in a pretty section of the outer city. Nice patio (first come, first served for seating on patio) when the weather is right. Interior is equally nice. We like to dine early so restaurant was not yet crowded and service was very attentive (but within the hour we were there, the place filled up, so reservations recommended). Food was great. I had the pork rind crostini to start and loved it. Next came the seasonal butternut squash ravioli with shrimp. It was also superb and beautifully presented. My wife had the short ribs and she was equally happy. The problem with small salad size has been fixed -- the restaurant now offers several of the salads as a smaller side salad or as a larger version. If you like flourless chocolate cake, theirs is sumptuously rich. Must try the Key Lime Tart next time! Convenient parking behind the restaurant. Highly recommend.
What a pleasant surprise. We went to the Quarter Bistro during Restaurant week and loved it! We will definitely go back. The mac and cheese appetizer was incredible!
Good meal for restaurant week.
Enjoyed the shrimp tacos...amazing. the ceasar chicken salad was pretty unfulfilling and probably should have been more of a tossed salad. Dessert was amazing...key lime tart and apple something cheesecake.
Disappointing. Usually this restaurant is one of our favorites. Service was very slow and most of the food arrived cold Pasta was over cooked
Was pleasantly surprised by this spot! The food and cocktails were delicious and everyone was very friendly. It was very busy, so we had to wait around a bit for service, refills, the check, etc, but overall it was worth it for the quality of food and atmosphere. Will definitely be returning for the delicious blackened shrimp tacos!
It was a great evening to have a light dinner on their patio. The food was tasty and our server was delightful.
Great food. Excellent service! We will be back!
We came for the restaurant week menu and it did not disappoint. We were able to sit outside so we had a more casual feeling. The inside appeared to be a little more fancy. Food and wine were great!
We were a group of four. Everybody had the same hors d'oevre calamaris and it was quite good. I had the salmon wihich was way overbaked, it was very dry. My husband had the siroin steak which was done perfect even thogh a little tough. We both had the Cesar salad, very tasty with nice dressing.
