The Quarter Bistro
The award-winning combination of seasonal cuisine and sophisticated ambiance are just the beginning of an unforgettable experience.
As Cincinnati's premier "contemporary" bistro, the menu presents all things classic and creative in balance. Fresh fish and game daily? Of course. Outstanding wines at a great value? No Question. Whether it's a beautiful summer evening on the patio, a romantic wine and dine for two, or a down-to-business dinner for ten, The Quarter Bistro has it covered.
I had the Braised Pork Shank and my wife had the Short. Both were cooked to perfection and have deep flavors. The service was spot on and the Manager came by and said hi - always a good touch.
this was the worst experience I’ve had in Cincinnati. When we walked in, we kindly mentioned we had reservations in which the hostess told us they were getting our table ready. Their attitude came off stand offish and felt like we were a burden to them. We then waited 10 minutes for our “table to be ready” before a table of 7 just walked in and were immediately sat down. no one ever gave us an update or engaged us so we left and enjoyed a nice dinner else where that was more crowded and we got a table immediately with no reservations. I will not be back.
The menu is broad and the food is very good. I had the salmon entree, and it is one of the better salmon dishes that I have had in town. If you are able to sit on the patio, the ambiance is very nice. The problem with the restaurant is the service from the kitchen. We had a 6:45p reservation on Saturday and were seated promptly. We ordered wine, which came fairly quickly (we were seated at the bar), one salad and two entrees. The complimentary bread arrived shortly after the wine. The salad arrived 30 minutes later. The entrees came at 8:00p. The restaurant was perhaps half full. This is the third time in a row that we have had slow service from the kitchen at the Quarter Bistro.
The chef has tinkered with the menu. Although the standbys are still there, he has improved on the offerings. The ravioli is out of this world.
Could possibly be the most pretentious clientele I have ever experienced in my over 40 years of restaurant dining throughout the United States.
Everyone was amazing!
Wonderful experience. Great setting in a pretty section of the outer city. Nice patio (first come, first served for seating on patio) when the weather is right. Interior is equally nice. We like to dine early so restaurant was not yet crowded and service was very attentive (but within the hour we were there, the place filled up, so reservations recommended). Food was great. I had the pork rind crostini to start and loved it. Next came the seasonal butternut squash ravioli with shrimp. It was also superb and beautifully presented. My wife had the short ribs and she was equally happy. The problem with small salad size has been fixed -- the restaurant now offers several of the salads as a smaller side salad or as a larger version. If you like flourless chocolate cake, theirs is sumptuously rich. Must try the Key Lime Tart next time! Convenient parking behind the restaurant. Highly recommend.
What a pleasant surprise. We went to the Quarter Bistro during Restaurant week and loved it! We will definitely go back. The mac and cheese appetizer was incredible!
Good meal for restaurant week.
Enjoyed the shrimp tacos...amazing. the ceasar chicken salad was pretty unfulfilling and probably should have been more of a tossed salad. Dessert was amazing...key lime tart and apple something cheesecake.
Disappointing. Usually this restaurant is one of our favorites. Service was very slow and most of the food arrived cold Pasta was over cooked
Was pleasantly surprised by this spot! The food and cocktails were delicious and everyone was very friendly. It was very busy, so we had to wait around a bit for service, refills, the check, etc, but overall it was worth it for the quality of food and atmosphere. Will definitely be returning for the delicious blackened shrimp tacos!
It was a great evening to have a light dinner on their patio. The food was tasty and our server was delightful.
Great food. Excellent service! We will be back!
We came for the restaurant week menu and it did not disappoint. We were able to sit outside so we had a more casual feeling. The inside appeared to be a little more fancy. Food and wine were great!
We were a group of four. Everybody had the same hors d'oevre calamaris and it was quite good. I had the salmon wihich was way overbaked, it was very dry. My husband had the siroin steak which was done perfect even thogh a little tough. We both had the Cesar salad, very tasty with nice dressing.
Great food and awesome experience, great steak and food that went with. Would recommend to anybody
The restaurant has a very nice feeling when we arrived. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with navigating the menu with our food allergies. We had a 6:45 dinner reservation and did not receive our dinner until 8:10! The manager came by once to tell us our food would be out shortly and we continued to wait. No explanation was given by anyone to explain and the table next to us was having the same problem. The food was great, but usually at a “nice” restaurant they will offer something for the bad service. Not sure we will be going back in the near future.
We sat outside and the evening was very enjoyable. The food, service and everything about our dinner was very nice.
Everyone (party of 4) had a very good experience.
The Quarter Bistro is always good, and this visit was no exception. The new fall menu is now in place. I had the horseradish encrusted salmon, which raises salmon to a new level. It is an ample and varied serving, including cheese tortellini, asparagus and more. My wife had the sea scallops which she said were excellent.
First,, it is so convenient when attending a movie at the Mariemont theater. Second, they offer a wide range of price/dining options even at dinner. Third, our server was pleasant, personable, knowledgeable and professional. Fourth, if you are going to a movie allow yourself extra time or you'll feel time pressure. Buy your theater tickets before dinner and save yourself that hassle. Oh, and good coffee
Our waitress very knowledgeable and personable. Food recommendations were excellent. Only negative was loud talking from table next to us.
Great food, wine and service!
Always a safe bet. The food and service are top notch. The patio is awesome. Next door is the movie theater. Great neighborhood restaurant !!!
Our server was extremely attentive but not so attentive that it was disruptive. Food came out hot and was excellent!
Sat outside and weather was beautiful! Everything was great as usual!
Excellent food, service and ambiance. The corn chowder soup was to die for.
Fabulous dinner. Great service. Wondeful food. We had the special that was sea bass and the mushroom ravioli. The flavors were incredible. The bread pudding for desert was to die for.
Nice paced, efficient service.
Definitely will return
Wonderful experience. Great food, service was wonderful. Katie told us to take our time no rush on ordering and we were able to enjoy our date night meal comfortably!
Great food and great service
We hadn't been to Quarter Bistro for a few years but decided to go after the movie. We were happily surprised at the varied menu offerings, especially the sandwiches, salads and smaller plates. The food was delicious. The only thing was, my husband was still hungry after his tacos. Two wasn't enough! Also, you might offer bread with salads.
What is typically a favorite place to dine howeverSomething must have been off at this restaurant. Waited over an hour to be sat outside with having a reservation. Waters were never refilled bartender never checked in. When we were sat for dinner we had to take our meal to go because service was so slow
This was our first visit to Quarter Bistro. It was awesome. Everything about it was perfect!
Always great food and great service! We are never disappointed When we dine here. The bread pudding was delicious and the vanilla bean ice cream topping was a yummy surprise addition!
Kayla was excellent! Both the fish and ribeye specials were excellent! Stuff is pricey but high quality too!
We always love The Quarter Bistro. My only complaint would be the price of a glass of Rombauer Chardonnay. It is close to $20.00, when you can buy a bottle for $34.00 in any grocery store. I realize that they need to charge a mark up, but that is so high!
The lava cake is worth it's own reservation.
Always a delight.
The short ribs are great. Excellent. The wagyu sirloin, however, was stringy and the tomato bisque tastes like Ragu in a bowl. Disappointing. The wait staff is great.
