I think the restaurant could use a little update. Starting to look a little worn i.e. dirty carpet, nicks and scratches in chairs.
Went for brunch and omelet table was looking dirty, food remains on table. The gentleman making omelets was using his phone during downtime. Was a little disappointed in brunch but we enjoy coming for happy hour.

Dined here in July, so when a fly kept hovering around our table, it was noted, but not a deal-breaker. However, when a young fly appears at the table in November and it’s 30 degrees outside, this may indicate a serious issue in the restaurant. The fly landed in our food a couple of times and then on my boyfriend’s forehead. We politely told the manager and he took $10 off our $100 meal. Since my dinner was ruined, I had to go get dinner elsewhere at 11:15pm on a rainy Friday evening. If I were the manager, I wouldn’t have let customers who had a fly ruin their dinner leave without making it right. We are so disgusted and disappointed and just hope we aren’t sick tomorrow.

My wife and I have been wanting to try the quarter bistro for some time now. We finally made the trip on a cold night when we were looking for the convenience of close parking rather than having to park and walk a few blocks. We were pleasantly surprised with the ambiance as we walked in and continued to be pleased with the whole dining experience. The service was prompt and everything from the appatizers to desert was delicious. Oh and the bread, you better believe I asked for a second basket so I could sneak some home with my leftovers.

We dined on a Saturday night during a football game. Though we had a reservation, we chose to dine in the bar. Highly recommend the fried oysters...they are terrific! The jambalaya is good, as well. There is a wide variety of appetizers, salads, and entrees, and so this is a good snacking place, as well as a place to dine. Service was attentive.

Food was very good but service was not. Forgot appetizer, seemed very distracted or too busy. Unfortunately it ruined the dining experience.

Nice evening with friends on a busy football weekend. The restaurant was packed but we were quickly seated--reservations are essential during football season. Our waiter was very busy, but kept a sense of humor and did his job well. My sautéed seafood dinner was excellent, light yet very tasty. My husband's steak and fettuccini with walnuts and blue cheese was a bit dry, but he loved it anyway. Friends had chicken and tilapia dinners and enjoyed both. Large and varied menu with great choices. Very good food and a fun place! You won't be disappointed.

Since my husband and I are now lite eaters, we appreciated finding the tenderloin tips as a nice sub for a larger meal which is much too heavy. Unfortunately, two of my tips were gristly which was a disappointment, even though it was all very tasty.

Always love the ambience!

Our reservation was not ready in time but there was room at the bar and we eventually took a booth and dined in the bar area. The manager was more than willing to make sure that we got the table that we wanted, it was just taking longer than we preferred.
The service and food was excellent. We were checked on many times by the manager to make sure that we were satisfied. Overall it was a great experience and we would go again.

It was very busy, we were seated after reservation. Food took a long time, one persons arrived much later than the rest of the party’s. Two of the dishes contained extra items because it took so long, but those weren’t even the last to show up. Kind of disappointing from our previous visits.

Several friends, my wife, and I went to the Quarter Bistro for dinner before a movie. We forgot to tell the waitress at the beginning of the meal that we were planning to see a movie, so the service was somewhat leisurely, although extremely friendly. Once we told her about the movie, she brought and processed the bills very promptly.

We enjoyed various drinks before dinner. My wife loved her margarita, and I found the red sangria to be delicious, although a little more expensive than the other drinks.

Several of us had a cup of the gumbo for an appetizer and were extremely pleased. My wife ordered a large salad for her main dish and enjoyed every bite. (I had expected she would would have to bring some home.) I liked the barbecued brisket very much too. And most of the side dishes ("dirty rice", beans, and cole slaw were also delicious. Only the jalapeño corn muffin disappointed; it was dry and not very flavorful. None of us who had one finished it. But that was one small disappointment in an otherwise memorable meal.

We always visit Quarter Bistro while we’re in Ann Arbor. We were seated in an odd area near the soda fountain bar which I didn’t like. It was very noisy, even being in the back of the restaurant. The server was very nice and attentive. I usually order the brisket which is always plentiful and delicious. The portion last night was minimal with too many sides and not enough beef. Having said that, our daughter’s chicken Marsala portion was generous . The five onion soup is always delicious. Of course, we’ll be back because overall, it’s a great place:

It was a nice visit, great value, and not too crowded at lunch time. Our seating near the bar escaped the notice of our waitress too often, but the food was good. With great company, you can't ask for much more.

Out for date night with wife, First time dining there, and we were not disappointed. Wife raved about the house Moscato, and we both loved the Bruschetta appetizer. Our main course was equally pleasing. We will be back! Highly recommend the Bistro for quiet and delicious meal, in a pleasant setting. Our server was awesome too.

The experience was so bad we thought we were on a hidden camera show! The server informed us that he was new and didn't know much about the menu. I foolishly asked a couple of questions and he snickered and stated "I'm new, don't you remember?" I asked him if he could please find out. A manager came over and was fairly unpleasant. A comedy of errors ensued including the server forgetting our order, wrong/missing food, bad wine pouring and the arrival of a completely empty bread basket. I'm sure it is unusual to have this many errors but due to the poor attitudes and mediocre at best food I will not return.

The service here is consistently excellent and attentive.

The potato pancakes are served over lentils and are also spicy. Very different from the usual presentation at other restaurants. And very tasty! Most of the menu items have a unique twist. I asked if they would make a Lemon Drop Martini even though Lemon Drops aren't on the cocktail list. It was expertly crafted.

It can be a little noisy but that adds to the the festive atmosphere. We were seated in a room off to the left, above the lower level. It is a little quieter there. You could request seating there if a quieter meal is a priority.

Of note to Gluten Free friends. We ordered humus as an appetizer and it come only with bread. We asked if we could get veggies for the gluten free intolerant folks at our table. THe waiter came back with carrots, fresh tomato, cucumber, and more. It was more than we hoped for.

Food was good. Service was ok. We ordered an appetizer and asked the waiter how large the portion was and he advised to get two orders of the cat fish. One would have been plenty. Thought the advise was totally off base. Portions are large. One person got the eggplant Parmesan, two got jambalaya, and one got chicken Marsala. All were good, jambalaya was spicy. It was a good quiet place to meet up with friends to catch up and talk. It wasn't loud so you could talk.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Ann Arbor. It is my 'go to' place for a fine dining experience at a reasonable price. Good service, a nice wine list and some very interesting entrees and apps make this an excellent place for dinner.

I must say, I am very happy to have come here. The food was delicious! Service was great!
Since this was my first and possibly last time to Michigan, I decided to go for it and just eat whatevers! NOTE: The price for lunch was very reasonable.

I ordered the Spanish Shrimp Cakes (freaking AMAZING!!! A must to order! You don't need the sauce it comes with! It is delicious on its own!!)

Next I had the Five Onion Soup (ridiculously flavorful! A another must to order!)

I ordered the Rosemary Chicken (although flavorful, the chicken was dry).

And my drink was coffee and water.

It was an amazing experience. Great service. If I EVER return to Michigan, I promise I am hitting the Quarter Bistro again!
