About this restaurant

The Quarry Restaurant and Lounge is a centuries old building cloaked in history, culture and an authentic sense of region, staying true to cooking with fresh, local ingredients. It was built with the strength and ingenuity of miners, who knew, first-hand, the value of hard-work, dreaming and making things come to fruition. At the Quarry, you can enjoy small plates like the native lobster sliders, hasselback potato dip or Cape Cod mussels with chorizo. These are seriously small servings, but nothing in the flavor is anything but robust. Follow this with either the Quarry's whole-grilled fish or pan-seared scallops and you will wonder why you've never been to this restaurant in the woods before. Go. Enjoy. Savor. Relax.

Waiter never told us prices of specials. Would NOT have ordered 1 of our meals if knew how costly it was! I prefer menus with a specials list and prices separate . Otherwise, food and service were outstanding !

I have visited here before and was v impressed so I wanted to bring a few friends. We all had a wonderful evening. We had Lauren as our server. She was terrific; attentive and patient with a lovely demeanor. Dave was the mixologist and did a wonderful job with the cocktails. He also had a good knowledge of wines and recommend a wine (within our price range) that we liked & my friend absolutely loved. We shared a few appetizers and then each chose something different as an entree. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I completed my experience with an Irish coffee others chose Creme Brûlée. Lovely. We left the dining area to socialize more in the sunken bar area where Dave continued to inspire us with his expertise.

BArtender was very knowlegable and fun to watch. He made a great wine selection for the price range that we provided to him. Food was very good. We had the stuffed figs and caparse. Swordfish was excellent as well as the scallops and pasta. I have driven by this resturant many times and was definitely worth the trip and would go back again..

We chose the Quarry to celebrate our anniversary - it was local and had great reviews. We were not disappointed! The cocktails were wonderfully done, the food inspired, and the service was great. We had such a lovely time and can't wait to go back!

Enjoyed a great Mother's Day family brunch. Interesting menu selections kept everyone happy. Liked commitment to use local food sources. Only weak spot was the Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar -- Bloody Mary's were too "trendy" with ingredients and no one thought they tasted good. Stick to the basics on the drinks.

Although our most recent visit was to celebrate a special occasion (the 6th anniversary of my 11-year-old son's adoption), we often visit The Quarry with no special occasion in mind. I dream about the lemon pasta with scallops, but enjoy many of the other menu items as well. My only wish would be that portions were a bit smaller so that I could enjoy 3 in one sitting (I'm too full after a starter and entree for one of their wonderful desserts).

The Quarry is one of my go-to places for a delicious dinner with friends locally. Although everything is tasty, my personal favorites are the duck (both the appetizer and the dinner) and the rack of lamb. The service is wonderful - my friend spilled his water and instead of placing a dry napkin on top they actually changed the entire tablecloth! In addition the bartender has always come to the table when we have had questions whether it is about the wine this time or my new favorite drink made with St. Germaine.

We were invited to the restaurant by a friend who recommended the restaurant and joined us. From the outset, our experience was great. The hostess honored our advance request for a quiet table. Our friend requested an unusual cocktail which the bartender prepared expertly. Our server, Taylor, was guided us through our menu selections and wine choices with patience and expertise. We enjoyed everything. The mussels and the scallops were good starters. The duck on the regular menu was excellent and fork tender, accompanied by a perfect pairing of fig and port risotto. The special of rack of lamb was not only generous but not lamby and prepared rare as requested. All in all a delightful evening.

My boyfriend & I recently went to The Quarry to celebrate his birthday and I was very disappointed with our server and my meal. Our server, while a nice guy, seemed to hover over us throughout the meal & made us a little uncomfortable. He was also not very helpful when I tried to order & his customer service skills were lacking. Typically when I go out I like to make substitutions--for example when I order a burger, I like to get a side veggie instead of french fries--so not a very difficult change to an order. Our waiter could not understand why I didn't want french fries & recommended that I give my boyfriend the fries instead. I was annoyed & frustrated...seems like any easy thing to do to accommodate a guest. The burger I order was also well done, so I sent it back...TWICE...and the manager only took the burger off the bill when I said something a second time. I've never had that happen before, usually the restaurant immediately takes the item off the bill if it isn't cooked right. I was very surprised that my experience at the restaurant was so poor, and I don't plan on going back.
