View Private Dining DetailsMet a friend for lunch at the Q a few days ago. We both ordered the Cobb Salad, which is my favorite. It was fantastic...the tomatoes were fresh and tasty, as was the avocado, the peppers, lettuce, the grilled chicken fresh and warm and the bacon crisp and tasty.
The servers at the Q are always attentive and the food enjoyable. The previous week I came in on a Tuesday when you can get a rack of ribs at a special lower rate...they were meaty and flavorful. I really appreciate the attention the kitchen is paying to the quality of the meats and produce, it makes such a difference.
We visited this restaurant on Easter and booked a reservation online because it said they would be open until 4pm. Received a call from the restaurant on Saturday asking us to move our reservation up because they actually were closing at 2pm. No issue there & we appreciated the call. Food was good and just what we were looking for mid-day. Great cocktail menu, I had a coconut rum/water concoction that was super refreshing and the boys loved their Arnold Palmers. Felt a bit rushed since they were closing early but the staff was all smiles and treated us well. The patio was great, just took some shuffling the tables/umbrellas to get shaded properly on a very sunny warm day. Overall a good experience. I think next time we just look forward to an opportunity for a more leisurely lunch, more cocktails and definitely order the grilled artichoke again!
Great menu - food was perfect. Awesome wines by the glass & excellent service. I prefer outdoors over indoors. The inside dining area feels a little too “lunchroom cafeteria” making it a better choice for early dining, but considering the location, it’s a perfect stop during your mid-whatever shopping trip.
Food options have changed over time and no longer excited to visit this restaurant. Previous visits, food options were fantastic as well as the food. Not sure if i would revisit with current menu options.
The best Happy Hour - wings to die for - great music!
Mouth watering Pecan-crusted catfish! Well made Hurricanes! Service A+! Acknowledgements of our special day with special treatment! Tres leche king cake and a live DJ at their “Fat Tuesday” celebration was exceeded my expectations!
Never disappointed; consistently good and fresh. Great hospitality too.
This was a special menu/occasion to usher in Marti Gras (and Lent): a Fat Tuesday Cajun/creole menu that was really fun; you could also choose from the regular offerings as well along with specialty cocktails and music. Although very enjoyable and tasty, the music was way too loud so we couldn't have a dinner conversation. Outdoor dining may have been a better option that evening. My daughter used to work in the Napa Valley restaurant scene and she mentioned that sometimes the music is really for the staff and not the patrons. Diners like to talk while the workers need to be jazzed up and on their toes. She always recommended asking that the taped music be turned down.
This is a Go To. I love the chicken salad. We haven’t a bad meal.
Consistently tasty meals here. Lots of locals eat here and that’s not because they don’t have many other nearby dining options. The vibe is always relaxed and pleasant.
First time there and we loved it! Roasted vinegar chicken delicious! Miami Vice cocktail yummy!
the $40 ribeye was pan fried, flavorless and sliced at the wrong angle.
Lunch was great although portions were more than generous. The pho was flavorful, plenty of noodles and beef. The chicken soup had a wonderful broth and the heirloom tomato salad was fantastic.
The ribs were way too fatty. The bacon in the deviled eggs were very hard.
Superb food with excellent service. Interesting cocktails to choose from.
Really bad service. Slow. Mediocre food. Definitely has gone downhill over the past year. Time to care about your guests.
Food was just so so. I knew as soon as the waitress came over to take our order by memory that it would come out wrong. We were her only table so it shouldn't have been too difficult .
The Q did not disappoint us for dinner. Great ribs and chicken as always. We always try to stop there when we are up in Napa.
The waitress and busboy were neither friendly nor efficient. The food had very little flavor. The ambiance in the restaurant is lacking at best. It met what should have been my expectations for a restaurant in the corner of a grocery store shopping center.
We go often, but, today wasn't as good as usual. The staff could definitely be a little friendler. Ordered the fried chicken (4 pcs) and it was...ok. The collard greens were a little lackluster compared to the other times I've had them. However, the Key Lime Pie is to die for! A definite "must have". I hope everyone is a little more friendly next time. It makes a huge difference.
The food was well prepared if a bit boring. Besides that, the owner, to quote the serving staff, "likes his [very loud] music." They were unable to turn the Sunday afternoon tunes to anything below a deafening bellow. This is a shopping center eatery next to a whole foods, with airs of a trendy urban something or other. Not going back.
Lazy service, over cooked and salty food. Skip it.
Great neighborhood restaurant,..nice little bar. Food was done perfect. Cheerful servers.
will be back
The meat (chicken, brisket beef, ribs, shredded pork, and sausage) was all terribly overcooked and dry. The sauces were watery and lacking flavor. The brussel sprouts were good but not great (once again, a bit overcooked). The coleslaw was the best.
We asked to have the music turn down just a touch so we could hear each other at the table, which they did, but within 30 minutes, the volume was cranked back up.
The service was attentive, but they forgot to bring wine glasses to the table and were slow to clear our cocktail glasses leaving the table unusually cluttered.
Great food & friendly staff...
One of our favorite restaurants. Always amazing seasonal vegetables as well as really good meats, main dishes, and a variety of specials. Delicious drinks and wines.
For the price of the combo (chicken and ribs), I would have expected more.
Delicious BBQ place. We shared the grilled artichoke appetizer. I had one of the best fried chicken sandwiches and my partner had the Q combo.
Never seems to be too crowded. Indoor outdoor seating. Good music. Food is so great! Price is very reasonable.
Great coleslaw and key lime pie. Meat was not sauced and dry so you're supposed to put it on yourself. Brisket was very fatty, although edible pieces were tasty.
Great Sunday dinner. The staff is fabulous, when we walked in the music was loud, asked if they could turn it down, did immediately. The food has always been great!
Must try the grilled cheese sandwich or artichoke!!!
I'm well experienced with BBQ from across the Southern U.S., and these fellows put out some of the finest classic BBQ and soulful side dishes I've found anywhere. Well done!
The BBQ melted in my mouth. There was a lot of noise in the restaurant. Definitely a place for locals.
Good ribs, good sauce (try the frogs heat). service was good, just a little slow
I have been eating here since the restaurant opened as the Q. I believe the kitchen staff are producing the best food yet. It is consistent, tasty and I loved every bite. New salad, an Asian Fried Chicken Salad. I have had it twice, once with fried chicken and yesterday with grilled chicken (my favorite). As with all of the salads they serve, this one is excellent. My dinning partner had a rack of ribs (from the Tuesday specials) and was very happy with it. The meat was perfectly cooked and the sauces great. Bring your appetite and patience, you will want to read both the daily and the special menus. The patience you will need is in making a choice. Great service, friendly staff. Really a treat.
The Q is just putting out great food and it is a treat to eat there. The staff are friendly and skilled, and children are welcome. You can eat inside or on the patio. The menu's are great and the hardest part is choosing. Great Barbecue, Salads, love the lime pie for dessert, there is something for everyone. Check the back of the daily menu for the specials, this is in addition to a sheet of new specials. The fried chicken in a bucket, the rack of ribs, the taco's are my favorites on the regular specials, but the new menu with specials on it is fantastic. New salads, fish, Brisket Pho, all are great and worth eating. Enjoy
All three of us polished off our plates, even our 10 year old. The pulled pork was so amazing!
Good food. Fries delivered cold, burger was warm so waitress had them remake fries. Friend loved the pulled pork sandwich.
The new owner is super attentive. Thank goodness otherwise I would have been very disappointed. The wait staff was not coming by often enough and my request to get a snack for the children quickly was not fulfilled after asking twice and in between waiving desperately to get someone's attention. The owner apologized for the lateness when we finally got some toast for the kids. Number 1 rule to impress parents with kids, make sure that children are settled and eating quickly so that parents do not have to contemplate whether they need to leave because children are not happy filling their tummies.
The food was good. I like variety so having more than 1 option for mild barbeque sauce would be a big plus. It looks like a happening place for drinks!
