We had not been to this restaurant for about a year. Food was good, but my entree took quite awhile to be made and served. My partner was almost done with his dinner before I got mine. Yes, we will return again.
I was less than pleased with the special I ordered. No "small" meals really available - would have liked some deli selections, or since they have mediterranian food, why not a full dinner or sample plate ? - pricey for what you get too - I wont be in a hurry to go back
Didn't have any idea what to expect. It was in a small strip plaza that I had never noticed. The food was good. The waitress was very nice. I would go there again.
The food was pretty good. I had the lamb kebabs. It did take a while for the main course to come out and the veggies w the kebabs were cold....
Excellent food. Great value.
Delicious varied menu. Never diappoints. Chicken parm is an all time favorite.
Wonderful food Generous portions. Nicely presented. Excellent service.
Our waitress Joanna was great. Very pleasant and attentive.
wonderful food -- had their special and it was great -- best chicken noodle soup north of nyc.
service was excellent
Excellent Greek/Mediterranean/French/eclectic mix in a low-key setting with very nice staff.
Great food and service. Looking forward to trying their lunch menu as well.
At dinner, the excellent lamb shank and stuffed grape leaves are recommended. Comfortable,
modern decor. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I intend to have lunch here soon.
reservation request was never opened or looked at until "5 days after" my 'open table' reservation was made. (reservation made on Monday 12/11, reservation was reviewed by the restaurant, today, 5 days later.) They were not prepared, they had no idea of my reservation.
Not sure if I'll use open table again or maybe just call the restaurant directly. Extremely Nosy. Unable to have a conversation with the business people I was meeting with.
Wonderful lamb dishes, excellent value. We were very pleased and will definitely go back to Putterham Grille. Everything was fresh and delicious.
Small neighborhood restaurant with a varied menu and delicious food.
We met our friends from Newton and had a great time.
Waited a little too long for the food but it was delicious.
Always fine service and excellent food. Not just the same old menu items you find at your basic restaurant. I always look forward to dining at The Putterham Grille.
The restaurant isn't much to look at aside from many framed pictures of runners as the decor but the food is surprisingly good. We each had a different entree which were more than generous and one person had soup which got high marks. Three of us took home leftovers which was great for another meal. We'll be back!
Our waiter Jim was attentive, funny and well versed in menu selections. Food and service was great- hard time deciding what to order.
Our experience was fine. Food was better than the service. It is a perfectly fine neighborhood restaurant.
The food was very good . . . but -
My friend arrived early and was seated, but no water or menu until I arrived 10 minutes later.
Tried to order one of the specials and they were out. It would have been nice if they mentioned it a few minutes earlier when they brought the menus.
It took one hour from the time we ordered until our food appeared. The waiter brought us bread five minutes before the food appeared.
We won't be eating here again.
Food was OK but too salty. We specifically asked that they don't add salt but I guess that most of it is pre-marinated or seasoned ahead of time
Was four of us for dinner the service was excellent the chicken teriyaki appetizer was delicious all four meals came prompt hot and tasted wonderful my compliments to the chef
It seems like I always order the beet salad because it's delicious!
The staff is very friendly and welcoming.
My reservation is always honored!
This was my first time at the Putterham Grille, and I enjoyed it immensely! The steak tips and risotto were perfectly cooked and delicious! Looking forward to my next visit.
This was our first time at PItterham Grill and it was delicious! We had the lemon- balsamic salmon over quinoa and blue cheese steak both prepared to order, tender and tasty. The quinoa could have been warmer. Desert was a warm rice pudding with fresh cinnamon. Very nice. Wait staff, music and ambience casual and a friendly.
The food is always excellent. Nice options for vegetarians. Live music on Thursday evenings. This is one of my favorite restaurants!
Because it was Mithet's Day we were stuck with a fixed ($$) menu and plain food.
Always liked this restaurant. Lunch especially, had dinner once there late afternoon and it was delicious.
Interesting menu, great service , live music on Thursdays .
Easy eating, large variety, quite good food! Salads, sandwiches and brunch items are standouts.
Great food again at Putterham Grille...Great Greek dips and pita bread for an appetizer. Then delicious blue cheese crusted steak with wonderful fries with a garlic flair followed by the best Greek milk pie dessert (galaktoboureko). Very satisfying and dependable food with friendly service.
Good tasty food
Putterham grill is a great neighborhood restaurant with everything made deliciously from scratch. Although a Greek/mideastern flair, there is some local Jewish standards on the menu that don't disappoint. You certainly don't feel rushed thru the meal.
service is friendly but very slow; an hour to get two matzo ball soup orders
Great place to meet up for lunch! We arrived at 11:15 and they had just opened. Nevertheless, they were up and ready to go. Lots of choices! We had a turkey club and falafel with salad. Food was fresh and very good. Nice service too! Interesting to see they have what looks to be a big take-out service.
We went on a Thursday night. food was outstanding - some dietary restrictions in our family and the chef came out to speak to us regarding the food options. Server was courteous and friendly.
Only beer and wine served but that's what our dinner party likes. Dessert menu of cheese cake and baklava was excellent along with our espresso.
This was the first time my husband and a friend of ours went to the restaurant. All of us were very pleased with the service and the food. Would definitely go back again.
Made reservations for 7:30, showed up right on time. We were asked if we wanted a table in the center of the room or wanted to wait for a booth. We said we would wait. Another group of 4 came in right after us. In a few minutes a group left from a booth and the hostess had the table set. To our amazement, the group that came in after us was seated. The hostess the came to explain that we would be next, to which I stated that it was unacceptable for us to be seated after the group that came in after us. Both groups had reservations, so all things equal, there is no explanation that I can think of other than that they favored the other group. I told her that we would be leaving to eat somewhere else, at which point she started to try and explain how they would 'fix' it. I turned to the man behind the counter and asked him if he was the owner, which he said he was. I then quickly told him what happened and we left. At the end of the day, it may not matter much but we will be sure not to return.
I have been to Putterham Grille several times and always find the food to be fresh and creative.
If you like Greek food, the cuisine is really great all the way to dessert with the best galactomboureko I have found in Massachusetts (warm custard in phyllo dough). The non-Greek alternatives are also excellent including the sliced steak and their spinach and mushroom pizza with truffle oil. Just a solid choice for casual dining with delicious food and where you can talk quietly and be heard.
