The show was amazing and the food was great. Super evening!!!!
The Purple Room is a time capsule, taking you back to the era of the Rat Pack and to the very stage where Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr conceived the idea to take their show to Vegas. The entertainment is delightful, and the interaction with the audience a hoot.
For a restaurant not singularly focused on food, The Purple Room delivers very high quality cuisine. We were very impressed with the Date Night Menu, it's offerings and value. We each got a salad -- wedge and the Purple Room salad, which was delicious -- and my husband got the short ribs and I got the sole which was recently added to the menu. Both were delicious, as were our desserts, especially the apple one.
It was great. The service was excellent. Chris was awesome.
Fabulous place to hear great American music from the, 30s, 40's 50s 60s, and more - we attended on a night Rose Mallet and here great jazz trio played. She was amazing (Think Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall or Roberta Flack). The food was good and we shared a plate and appetizer. The Local IPA was a hit. Service
was very good. Be generous with the tip jar for the musicians though its your choice.
We will likely go back another time to here other singers as well. (PS was a bit cold in the room so bring a wrap or sport jacket.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at The Purple Room, they really made us feel special. We will definitely go back next time we're in Palm Springs!
We were visiting Palm Spring from New York, and wanted to have a fun time. The Purple Room was a delight! Michael was a glorious performer, host, and owner. I'm happy that there are people like him in the world who are really doing what they love! We went for the date night special, and thought it was a great time. My only suggestion would be that they more clearly offer the complimentary sparkling wine to everyone ordering the date night menu- my husband would have gladly sipped along with me!
Everytime we been there the service has been bad.. food is not that great.. It took us 15 minutes after been seated that the waiter came to us just take our order for our drink.. when bought the drink we order right away just in case it would take longer for his return.. Plus we ask for lower sitting in main floor and we got seated in a booth in back behind the bar.. We went to see our friend perform but I guess we wouldn't be going back anytime soon..
We have been to the purple room many times and always enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, this time the same was not true. The quality of the food was minimal. Scallops had grains of sand in them which is not pleasurable to eat. The salmon which claimed to be Scottish probably was steelhead which was not enjoyable, the salad greens wilted, etc. additionally, the server was way out of time with our table bringing entrees long before salads were finished and leaving them sit on the table to get cold.
Hopefully this was an off night.
Our Mom came to visit from Washington. Took her to one of our favorite places!
We took some friends as a treat. What an experience. Great food and service. A nice intimate venue and fun show. Loved it!
We can always count on Michael Holmes’ Purple Room for consistently outstanding cocktails, food, service, and elegance. What we like too is the wide variety of entertainment. There’s the wildly entertaining “The Judy Show” on Sundays, and Michael Holmes Trio on Wednesdays. On weekends it can be world class jazz, outrageous adult comedy, tribute acts such as Elvis, Joan Rivers, Liberace, Peggy Lee, and much more.
First time there for dinner and had a wonderful time. Took out of town guest and they had a blast!
Will definitely bring out-of-town guest here again.
I loved the Purple Room! It is an iconic place with the history of The Rat Pack performing there. It still has a cool atmosphere and we went on the night we did because we liked the performer, Rose Mallet. It was a very fun evening. The food is good and it has a nice bar and lounge.
My friends and I were staying at the Club for a few days and decided to go to the Purple Room to celebrate my friends 85th birthday. So glad we did as we had a table to the side of the room and was perfect. We saw Keisha D perform and was a fabulous show...she really knows how to work the Audience and sings to them rather than stand in one place for the duration of the show. We WILL be back.
Absolutely LOVE Sharon Sills. I come hear her whenever I’m in town on Thursday....
Sorry the purple room no longer has it’s terrific prime rib dinner - it was a really special treat!!
Rare combination of excellent food and great entertainment.
Great music, great high quality food. Everyone loves their special cocktails and entertainment
Love love love this place. Never a disappointment. It is our go-to place for great food and entertainment.
Absolutely an incredible experience! Sharon Sills performed and she was fabulous! We ordered dinner...I had the surf and turf...exceptional and my husband had a pasta dish! Can't wait to go again!
We go every year to see Sharon Sills. We had horrible seats. Could only see her looking through other people.
Very good entertainment and appreciative crowd in an intimate setting.
Wednesday date night. Great value and fun live show. We'll be back.
Food in eventful. Bland lobster bisque. Chicken again bland as was the ahi tuna. Not a romantic dinner spot. It's a nite club trying to make some $$ on food. Serve high end (if u can) applies. Forget the main meal stuff. May as well go to applebees
Part of the history of Palm Springs. Quintessential part of Palm Springs. Beautifully staged and run. Honored the Rat Pack and us as patrons. Wonderful walk down memory lane with the music and dancing. Great service. Would go back again.
We went strictly for the entertainment.
Ordered mocktails and they were Delicious!! Highly recommend for everyone pregnant, DD, on a diet, or a regular ole teetotaler.
Dinner was good but a tad overpriced.
This is our third visit to Purple Room on our most recent visit to Palm Springs. Christopher was our server and he is absolutely fabulous. He waited on us during our last visit and he makes everything very special. The music, as always, was fantastic. The food was great. Just can't say enough about the Purple Room.
Food is very good and Rose Mallett is GREAT!!
Great filet and cocktails plus entertainment. Good view from booths behind bar area too. Makes you feel great
What a fun evening with good food and terrific entertainment!
Very fun old-school dinner club. the show was entertaining, the food was great and the service was perfect.
Entertainment and ambiance was great. Food was not good. Dry chicken, greasy steak and pasta lacked flavor. Don't go for the food.
This place has a NY jazz club vibe from back in the day. Wonderful time and Rose and the band are terrific on Tuesday night. Get there by 6:30 or 7pm to experience the best energy from the room as it starts to empty out by 8:30.
Drinks and food are good. Overall a nice night out for a date night. Staff is very friendly and hospitable.
My husband are from out-of-state. What a treat it was to have a great dinner with entertainment. Rose Mallett was awesome and so engaging with audience. The food selections were excellent also. On our next visit to Palm Springs, we will definitely include a visit to the Purple Room!
Thanks for the great hospitality.
Bob and Michelle
My husband and I LOVED our first visit to the Purple Room. Everything from the friendly welcome of the hostess, to the efficient and warm service from Chris, to the excellent music from Keisha D and her group, to the wonderful cocktails and delicious lamb and beet salad was PERFECT! We will definitely make another reservation next year.
Great service and excellent dinner! The music was perfect!
This was our second trip to the Purple Room in less than a week. Love the music. Keisha D was fabulous. Food was delicious. Service was great. We are in Palm Springs for a month and plan to go to the Purple Room at least once a week until we head back home.
Absolutely wonderful! We weren’t sure what to expect, but it was top notch on every level. The food was delicious and the music fantastic. A great evening.
We were looking for the “full Monty” Palm Springs experience, and the Purple Room fit the bill. We went on Wednesday and took advantage of the “date night” menu; 3 course plus a glass of the house Prosecco for
We visited the Purple Room for the first time in 2015 and loved it. We felt as though we stepped back in time to a supper club from the 1960's. I grew up listening to the music of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin with my father. The Purple Room brings back so many lovely memories of times gone by. The staff is so welcoming. The service is impeccable. But of course, the music is what makes the Purple Room so extra special. We are from Ohio and have only been to Palm Springs 3 times -- 2015 -- 2017 and now March 2019. Every trip includes at least one night at the Purple Room. This year we are hear for a month -- so the Purple Room is on our agenda at least one night per week. It is just a wonderful, wonderful place -- for food, for music and for a special night.
Atmosphere and food was good, service had a lot to be desired. Very slow. Waiter kept disappearing for very long periods of time. Entertainment was great!
