Overall a fantastic experience! Food, service and music all excellent! We would definitely go back again when in town.
We went because my brother and sister-in-law gave us a gift card, and we knew nothing about it. What made it special was the entertainment--Sharon Sills and her group was delightful and great fun to hear. After we'd planned to go Thursday night, others recommended ticketed shows, like the Judy Show. That sounds great, but we'd have needed to get tickets several weeks in advance). We were very, very happy with this show. On top of the excellent entertainment, the food was excellent--well prepared and beautifully presented. Wines were great. Server was attentive but not intrusive. All in all, a wonderful experience.
Enjoyed entertainment. Food was good. Look forward to next trip.
we love the Purple Room .Always fun , economical and excellent
In town and wanted to enjoy dinner theatre and live performances. This was a gem when we arrived at 6:30 there were almost no empty seats, glad we made a reservation. The music was good but we were able to have a table conversation with ease. Highly recommend, friendly management and service providers.
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience. If you like 60s night Club feel, you’ll love The Purple Room. Food was very good. Service was excellent. Cudos to Aaron. Sharon Sills was great, and music took my wife and me back to our teenage years. Highly recommend.
This was our second visit to the Purple Room and we brought friends with us this time. We were looking forward to another great night of music and laughs with Sharon Sills in this friendly hotspot with great ambience. But, it was an off night on several fronts. We couldn't hear Sharon Sills' banter or songs because of a large table of noisy people who had zero interest in the show. I complained to the hostess, but she said they had no control because this wasn't a ticketed show. I asked two people at the noisy table if they could tone it down, but they refused. I was polite, but gave up when a red-faced man became belligerent. The food was hit and miss: my Jidori Chicken was excellent and perfectly cooked. My husband's dish, Prime Rib Stronganoff was over-salted. The pasta with mild Italian sauage was okay, but nothing special. Our appetizers and main courses arrived in good time, but the waiter wasn't the least bit friendly or welcoming (unlike our last visit). Neither was the hostess, who made no effort to hide her displeasure with our early arrival. (Happy Hour was still in progress, but the dining room was empty.) Sorry, Purple Room, you blew it. This wasn't a fun night. We left at intermission.
This was our first time at the Purple Room, but we will be back when in PS again! Great entertainment and very good food.
Love this place every visit is special. Extra kudos to Danny and Mickey to help accommodate our group that got a bit bigger at the last minute. They fit us in and took care of my boss’s dietary restrictions. Thanks Purple Room
Read a bunch of reviews that were not very positive about the food. My wife’s meal, pork medallions, was OK but mine was quite good, Shrimp and lobster tortellini. The ambiance was beautiful, the live music was fantastic. Yes you are paying for the ambiance but the food was pretty respectful as well. Overall, loved the whole experience
Between the food, the ambiance, and the entertainment, the Purple Room is top notch. Highly recommended for a fun evening out with friends.
Wonderful evening, only issue is the parking
The entertainment is so great!! The service was fabulous! Our steak wasn’t good and the were so kind and efficient about it. I would love to go back!!!
Great entertainment. A very enjoyable experience except for the server seeming to forgetting about us. We would have spent more money on additional drinks but by the the time the server came around to check in us we had given up and were ready to go. This seems to be isolated as we watched other tables get amazing service from the other staff.
Great live music. Go Rose!
Great entertainment. Good food. Good service. Really overpriced drinks and wine.
We have travelled to Palm Springs many, many times and this was our first time dinner at The Purple Room. We had a great time and will absolutely return. The music was fabulous on Thursday night. The food was good and a great time was had by all. On a chilly Thursday night, The Purple Room really lifted our spirits!! Thanks for the memories!!
Generally, one goes to the Purple Room for the great entertainment. However, the food is decent and our drinks were strong. One important note: Do NOT assume that your table request will be unconditionally met. I requested a table near the stage to accommodate a 90 year old who was visually & hearing impaired. The table we got was a booth at the far end of the room. It was a raised booth - not fun for a ninety year old with a walker to get into. The bar obstructed our view of the singer and the noise of the patrons drowned out the singing. So the evening was a bit of a bust. The hostess told me she did her best, but it’s first come first served regarding table requests. Fair enough, but I caution people to call and confirm that their requests will be met if it’s important to them.
The entertainment is always top-notch. The variety and star value has been a staple at the Purple Room. The food has been great in the past but with a different chef the menu and consistency has changed. Our friends had the prime rib special and they raved about their meal. My scallop dish was cold. My husbands dish was good but the portion was on the small side. Hopefully things return to greatness.
Food was good but the music and ambience was really excellent. We saw the Michael Holmes Trio and it was such fun. If you enjoy Sinatra and Dean Martin music you will love the Purple Room.
Great for a night out, but you’re paying for the entertainment, not mind blowing food. Michael Holmes Trio on a Wednesday night was awesome and Kate Campbell exquisite. Date night menu on Wednesdays plus regular. Blackened ahi yummy, short ribs undersalted, molten chocolate cake good but needs more ice cream and a berry coulis instead of the compote. We will go back because it feels like a night out.
Great food and service. The entertainment made the evening a total hit. Thanks.
Dinner was cold! Mentioned to manager but no action taken. Prime rib- cold. Scallops - cold. Overpriced for al la carte.
Just wish you had more Vegan food options—and wish you offered a Steamed Or Grilled Salmon option.
Salad & Primavera Pasta delicious-nicely presented —-good Martini—-
Outstanding Live Music—Sharon Sills Show-worth every minute I was there-great entertainment-👍👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
fish was not cooked, but our waiter wisked it away and brought a nice hot fully cooked piece very quickly.
enjoyed the evening!
Our party of six dined here for Valentine's Day. What a wonderful way to experience the old Hollywood/Palm Springs scene. The food and ambiance are top notch. Michael Holmes and Kate Campbell provided excellent entertainment. We will definitely dine here again.
We celebrated with friends on Valentine’s Day. The food was delicious and the musicians were excellent. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!!
The Purple Room is a fantastic and unique experience featuring good food and terrific live music. We went on a Tuesday night and found it to have a very lively atmosphere with excellent service. Our only criticism is the difficulty of parking so take an uber...
Had a reservation for Friday night. Our first time, and thought it would be a fun place for a weekend night. Seated right away at 7:30, and service was attentive and perceptive to fact we didn’t want a rushed dinner. The jazz group playing was good, not great, but within a half hour the place had cleared out, and the ambiance sort of deflated. The food was pretty average at best; scallops nothing special and chicken dish was dry. Again, our server was great, but we don’t understand all the glowing, over-the-top reviews.
Very disappointed in the quality of the food. Would not go there again.
A great throwback to the 60's. Food is better than one would expect given it is a nostalgia venue and the service was excellent. Would definitely go back with others.
The food, service and entertainment were all excellent. My husband and I had a lot of fun
Wonderful small place off the veaten track! Sharon Sills, Thurs nites, provides energetic, great entertainment.
Our waiter gave excellent service, food was good
We always visit the Purple Room during our Palm Springs vacations, usually multiple times. Great entertainment, good food & drinks, amazing mid century ambience. A+
Fabulous restaurant! Great live music!
Loved the Wednesday RatPack-style entertainment. Michael acts like he really loves what he does. Food was not remarkable, but good.

Wonderful supper club, old Hollywood style, love it!
Loved the Michael Holmes Trio - my guests had a blast - the food was even better than we expected.
Great food, wonderful entertainment. Staff is beyond courteous. They really want you to enjoy yourself and go out of their way to see you are happy.
