Don’t know. Made reservations. They were confirm. Got there and they were closed. Tried to call, no answer. Disappointed to say the least.
Awesome time! Everything was spot on. Food, ambiance, entertainment, waiters... I hail from NYC area and can say this topped all my recent outings in the Big Apple. Lucked out and caught the final night of the season. Will definitely revisit my next time through Palm Springs.
What a great experience! Went on a Wednesday evening to hear Michael Holmes and Keisha D perform. Perfectly executed. If I closed my eyes I felt I was in the presence of Sinatra - and Keisha D just added to the allure of the evening. The food was pretty good although more seasoning would have made it absolutely delicious but since the majority of the patrons are an older crowd the chef may be playing it smart by keeping the salt seasoning to a minimal. Our waiter Chris was most accommodating so the entire evening was a 5 star experience. Was our first time but will be back over and over again because we loved it.
The singer for the evening was Rose Mallett. She has an amazing voice and is a wonderful entertainer! I highly recommend seeing her if you have the opportunity!!!!
Absolutely delightful experience in every way. Delicious, high quality meal.
The Purple Room is the absolute best place to spend an evening in Palm Springs! The ambiance, service, food, drinks and entertainment are all top notch. You step back in time as you walk through the doors and for a few hours can leave the real world behind. What a gem!
Very pleasantly surprised by this little gem. If you want the true Rat Pack-esque experience in Palm Springs, this is a must-not miss. We were celebrating our anniversary and they treated us right.... from the personalized card to the dessert, on the house, we were blown away by the historical aspect of this room inside the hotel. If you want to know the significance, you must go and find out for yourself. Great live music by Michael Holmes and his merry band of music makers. We will make this a permanent stop on every trip we take to Palm Springs. P.S. The food was on point and you MUST try the Manhattan!
I have been to the purple room many times. I had out-of-town guests who had never been. The purple room certainly did not disappoint. The service was amazing with just the right amount of attention. The food was absolutely delicious as it always is. And the singer, Rose Mallett and trio Were phenomenal. It was my birthday. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
It is fabulous! Old school Palm Springs where the Frank Sinatra and his Rat Pack came to play. Always has top entertainers . A Supper Club with a very cool vibe.
My significant other and I really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the great live music. It was a real fun place. Our waiter, Chris, was very personable and efficient—he was a pleasure to talk to. Next time we’re in Palm Springs, we definitely will be heading back to the Purple Room. The Bourbon menu was pretty cool. The Frank Sinatra Jack Daniels Select was very good. We ordered off the special Wednesday Night Date Menu which includes 3 courses at a reasonable price.
This was a typical Palm Springs 60’s hideaway spot. With that said the entertainment was top notch. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and was treated with banana bread pudding, yummy.
Still my favorite date night in Palm Springs.
My cousin and her husband first visit to the Palm Springs area. We did all the standard tourist things but our evening at The Purple Room was their favorite!
My friends and myself went over to the Purple Room this past Thursday to see Sharon Sills perform, we had seen here previously at another venue but I think this room is perfect for her. She was great. We will be returning again to see Sam Harris later this month. Have also been to see Michael Holmes on Wednesday and other entertainment. The Purple Room is a special PS treasure.
WONDERFUL EVENING WITH FRIENDS ENJOYING THE MUSIC AND THE ATMOSPHERE.
We are frequent guests at Michael Holmes’ Purple Room, it is a mid-Century gem and a must visit for tourists and locals alike. Great vibe, excellent entertainment and a high caliber menu you seldom find in a supper club. The staff is trained perfectly and make the experience a joy.
Great food, excellent entertainment, cozy and comfortable setting. Will definitely go back again. A gem in Palm Springs.
The show was amazing and the food was great. Super evening!!!!
The Purple Room is a time capsule, taking you back to the era of the Rat Pack and to the very stage where Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr conceived the idea to take their show to Vegas. The entertainment is delightful, and the interaction with the audience a hoot.
For a restaurant not singularly focused on food, The Purple Room delivers very high quality cuisine. We were very impressed with the Date Night Menu, it's offerings and value. We each got a salad -- wedge and the Purple Room salad, which was delicious -- and my husband got the short ribs and I got the sole which was recently added to the menu. Both were delicious, as were our desserts, especially the apple one.
It was great. The service was excellent. Chris was awesome.
Fabulous place to hear great American music from the, 30s, 40's 50s 60s, and more - we attended on a night Rose Mallet and here great jazz trio played. She was amazing (Think Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall or Roberta Flack). The food was good and we shared a plate and appetizer. The Local IPA was a hit. Service
was very good. Be generous with the tip jar for the musicians though its your choice.
We will likely go back another time to here other singers as well. (PS was a bit cold in the room so bring a wrap or sport jacket.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at The Purple Room, they really made us feel special. We will definitely go back next time we're in Palm Springs!
We were visiting Palm Spring from New York, and wanted to have a fun time. The Purple Room was a delight! Michael was a glorious performer, host, and owner. I'm happy that there are people like him in the world who are really doing what they love! We went for the date night special, and thought it was a great time. My only suggestion would be that they more clearly offer the complimentary sparkling wine to everyone ordering the date night menu- my husband would have gladly sipped along with me!
Everytime we been there the service has been bad.. food is not that great.. It took us 15 minutes after been seated that the waiter came to us just take our order for our drink.. when bought the drink we order right away just in case it would take longer for his return.. Plus we ask for lower sitting in main floor and we got seated in a booth in back behind the bar.. We went to see our friend perform but I guess we wouldn't be going back anytime soon..
We have been to the purple room many times and always enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, this time the same was not true. The quality of the food was minimal. Scallops had grains of sand in them which is not pleasurable to eat. The salmon which claimed to be Scottish probably was steelhead which was not enjoyable, the salad greens wilted, etc. additionally, the server was way out of time with our table bringing entrees long before salads were finished and leaving them sit on the table to get cold.
Hopefully this was an off night.
Our Mom came to visit from Washington. Took her to one of our favorite places!
We took some friends as a treat. What an experience. Great food and service. A nice intimate venue and fun show. Loved it!
We can always count on Michael Holmes’ Purple Room for consistently outstanding cocktails, food, service, and elegance. What we like too is the wide variety of entertainment. There’s the wildly entertaining “The Judy Show” on Sundays, and Michael Holmes Trio on Wednesdays. On weekends it can be world class jazz, outrageous adult comedy, tribute acts such as Elvis, Joan Rivers, Liberace, Peggy Lee, and much more.
First time there for dinner and had a wonderful time. Took out of town guest and they had a blast!
Will definitely bring out-of-town guest here again.
I loved the Purple Room! It is an iconic place with the history of The Rat Pack performing there. It still has a cool atmosphere and we went on the night we did because we liked the performer, Rose Mallet. It was a very fun evening. The food is good and it has a nice bar and lounge.
My friends and I were staying at the Club for a few days and decided to go to the Purple Room to celebrate my friends 85th birthday. So glad we did as we had a table to the side of the room and was perfect. We saw Keisha D perform and was a fabulous show...she really knows how to work the Audience and sings to them rather than stand in one place for the duration of the show. We WILL be back.
Absolutely LOVE Sharon Sills. I come hear her whenever I’m in town on Thursday....
Sorry the purple room no longer has it’s terrific prime rib dinner - it was a really special treat!!
Rare combination of excellent food and great entertainment.
Great music, great high quality food. Everyone loves their special cocktails and entertainment
Love love love this place. Never a disappointment. It is our go-to place for great food and entertainment.
Absolutely an incredible experience! Sharon Sills performed and she was fabulous! We ordered dinner...I had the surf and turf...exceptional and my husband had a pasta dish! Can't wait to go again!
We go every year to see Sharon Sills. We had horrible seats. Could only see her looking through other people.
Very good entertainment and appreciative crowd in an intimate setting.
Wednesday date night. Great value and fun live show. We'll be back.
Part of the history of Palm Springs. Quintessential part of Palm Springs. Beautifully staged and run. Honored the Rat Pack and us as patrons. Wonderful walk down memory lane with the music and dancing. Great service. Would go back again.
