The Pullman Ratings and Reviews
The steak salad was excellent. We ordered also Pierogi. The Pierogi were not so bad, but they were swimming in some kind of broth. The sour cream on the top (which is correct, it is supposed to be there) then dissolved in the broth and it tasted together funny.
Being East European, I know how pierogi suppose to be served.
Otherwise nice place, excellent and attentive service. Friendly prices.
This was an outstanding meal. The restaurant was recommended by a local on the knowledge that we dine out in Boulder and Denver and enjoy those foodie types of restaurants. This was delicious and we tried many different menu options for a wide sampling of the menu. The home fries with warm blue cheese were excellent as were the shot rib tacos and lamb sirloin. The fusion of herbs and spices gave each dish a unique flavor profile and each was an experience for the palette. The white bean puree was so delicious! Unfortunately, we did not have room for dessert! I was told by another local to stop back and try the chocolate banana bread pudding. We will definitely return!
Went in for dinner an hour before close on a Tuesday and had an absolutely fantastic experience. Modern yet cozy interior, excellent list cocktails, creative small plates, well-executed food from start to finish. Oysters, eggs, and chicken liver pâté were all delicious, and the portion on the pâté was enough to be munched on throughout the whole meal. Duck tacos were balanced, but nothing too special. Grilled endive salad was a little unbalanced with a large bed of mushrooms, but only two small slices of beet and two medium endives. However, the turnover at the end of the night was absolutely delightful and left my girlfriend and I smiling and full as we finished our cocktails.
This was our first visit to The Pullman, but we will definitely be back. The food was delicious and the staff knowledgeable and caring. Love the interesting wine list. It is a bit noisy, but then most restaurants are these days. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
We were pleasantly surprised at the unique tastes created by the chef and follow-through with each dish. Our daughter is a farm to table chef in the big city and this selection would hold it's own. Local foods sourced in a sustainable manner are important to us and when a chef creates a taste ...we applaud. We started with the Shishito Peppers. The vegetable local stew (Cianfotta)was fantastic and my special bolognaise very tasty. Desert we split, excellent plating, again perfect with bread pudding and salted chocolate pie tp finish the evening over a few glasses of pino.
My only recommendation would be to improve the seating and surrounding feel of the seating ..could be a lot better and help your evening, we were there for a special relative occasion to sit, eat and talk....sometimes difficult with noise.
Luke was very knowledgeable and we tipped him extra well for his efforts and time with us.
We would come back again next fall for dinner.
I've eaten here before and the food and beer are great! However, this time it was so hot inside the restaurant, while about 65•F outside, that my wife and I left without ordering anything. I mean hotter than anything I have ever experienced this timer of year. We were both starting to sweat just after walking in the front door. Too bad, because otherwise, this is a great place!
We love the Pullman! The only reason I didn't rate it higher was the temperature was too hot inside. We've been there a few times and usually it's very comfortable so maybe it was just a problem that night only. We will definitely be back regardless; the temperature wasn't so bad we couldn't enjoy a great meal.
Service was excellent starting from intro and off-menu specials, tea and bread refills, right through to the end of service... all spot on. (Thank you Corey!) Only a minor complaint, the steak for a salad was undercooked and so a bit tough to cut; however very tasty. All other entrees, and salads were excellent. We have eaten at the Pullman before, and certainly will next time we visit Glenwood Springs.
We find ourselves in Glenwood a couple of times a year for fishing, hot springs, skiing and always try to get into Pullman at least once. It is our favorite restaurant by a long shot - great cocktails and beer, great local ingredients, super tasty items. Definitely in our tops in all of
Great evening celebrating birthdays. Food was great except, we all ordered something different and all good except Greek Lamb Salad - when they say "crisp shoulder" , be prepared it is a few morsels of burnt lamb! We actually send that one back and they were accommodating in providing another option. Banana and chocolate bread pudding so delicious!
What a surprise! I read the reviews and decided we would take a chance and it was way better than expected. In fact we decided to come back the next day. Great wine and beer list. Creative food options and amazing service. Will definitely be back next time we are in town.
Disappointing is all I can say.
I have been a semi-regular ( about 6 times a year) for the last three years and the last two times I have been this once favorite of the Western Slope has been fading ...fast. I had a mediocre pasta
with bunches of the linguine stuck together. I am a chef. Pasta is a specialty and I could tell they made it but did not take the care to dry it correctly. My date's trout was not special...very ordinary and she lives in the area ( I live four hours away, close by Colorado standards, and travel through often on the way to Denvoid). We have been hearing the rumblings from other locals and I had not been in since July when I sat at the bar for 17 minutes without ANY acknowledgement/water/menu...nothing (I timed it. and the restaurant was busy but not full...weak!) I also consult on restaurants and this
place is in a major slide down. I no longer give a quick recommendation. I might give one with a heavy caveat...I used to love this place but my girl and I had been to a few other places in Glenwood on her suggestion and I wanted to go back to my old fave, Pullman.
I fear the chef/owners other properties are taking his focus...not a good time.
The service was passable but kinda pushy and...just not good.
This is two bad experiences...I may give them another chance but I am now a bit leery of the c-dale place, Town....I hope it is still poppin' as I may be moving to that community and really wanted it to be 'our' spot...kinda bummed about this, but I have been in the biz a long time and have seen this thing before. I wish them luck.
Pullman continues to deliver the goods!
Thoroughly enjoy The Pullman whenever we are in Glenwood Springs. Best in town. Food is creative, cooked to perfection and very tasty.
Well worth navigating downtown while the bridge is being rebuilt!
Kitchen sensitive to specific request for no added finishing salt. The manager even came out to ensure that we were not salt-allergic, but rather only to avoid finishing with more. How often does that level of attentiveness happen?
Nice selection of wines that avoid the usual (overpriced) suspects seen everywhere. Really enjoyed the "orphans" - the Penya Viognier was a hit and incredible value.
Pullman never disappoints. It's our favorite dinner choice when we visit Glenwood. The food is fabulous and the drinks are so fun.
The gnocchi salad is a great start to any meal and is my personal favorite. Bone marrow is "heavenly," and the roast chicken is worth the trip from Denver.
Our waiter (whose name I have forgotten) was on top of everything without being intrusive.
Since we ate out every single meal for a week I cannot identify which dishes we tried at the Pullman, only that we would certainly return.
Our waiter answered endless touristy queries with charm and patience.
Probably the best pork chop ive ever had, would rate this place 5 stars all around but i felt the portion was fairly small. They said they didn't want to overwhelm anyone with a large dish... okay but for $30 id like to be at least semi-full .
i had the Thai watermelon pork chop, 10oz chop ontop of some bits of watermelon and drizzled with sauce, and thats it no sides, so like 11-12 oz total.
I went to the Pullman for my birthday and the service and food was excellent.
Our wait person was attentive and very available. We had a reservation and requested a nice table for two by the window, which the Pullman happily accommodated. I highly recommend the Pullman if you are in the Glenwood Springs area. A comfortable dining experience!
