The Pullman Kitchen
Best burger in Sonoma County! Great service, great food.
The food was great but our server was awful. We had to give her drink orders in pieces as she kept leaving after one person ordered. She did not come by once during our meal and we had to ask for things from the runner and other server. It made the overall experience disappointing.
Great service and seriously delicious food! The restaurant is very cute and i will definitely be going back.
It was good, would like to sit in the restaurant rather than in the breezeway, kind of echoey and hard to hear. Food was really good. Awesome eggs benedict. Waiter was okay, he forgot some ordered items, but didn't charge us for them, so it worked out fine. Definitely worth revisiting.
Delicious food- great service.
Pricey for mediocre food. Had fish of day waitress didn't share price before hand. Must have been gold plated. Risotto dish also mediocre. $162 plus tip for 3.
Fun casual atmosphere. Try the spinach parmesan pancakes, seriously!
We had a business lunch at Pullman during an executive off-site held upstairs at The Z Room. The food was great, the service was fabulous and they honored our limited time for lunch so we could get back to our meeting. Thank you!
The service is always incredibly pleasant and welcoming; the menu is interesting and varied and the food fresh; the noise level is low enough so that folks can actually converse over a meal. The tuna poke is my absolute favorite dish.
Consistently great food and service!
Good and service are reliably excellent!
We had Easter brunch. They did a nice job of accomodating the various food allergies and were very attentive. I had a delicious asparagus, gruyere and ham crustless quiche. The other folks had the french toast made from brioche bread. They said it was great, but the kids did not like the "lemony" after taste. We suspect there was lemon in the butter. Lemon and cinnamon did not pair well in their teenage opinions.
The food was great and our waitress was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was attractive and lively but not loud. I would have wanted a few more menu choices. I had the fish tacos which were good and my son had the steak which he loved.
Best burger in Sonoma County
Not the most comfortable seating. Ambiance was lacking. Service was outstanding and the food was solid.
Great food always
This was our first time at Pullman Kitchen. We received an email from Open Table with The Pullman Kitchen as a recommendation (Open Table does know us :). It was a pretty restaurant with a view of downtown Santa Rosa (it's Spring and the trees are in bloom). Our hostess and server were both very friendly and helpful. We started with the bacon wrapped dates - excellent! I would have this dish on every visit. I had the fish of the day which was halibut - also excellent. Tom had the double cheeseburger with fries which he really enjoyed. I wish they had some gluten-free desserts (flourless chocolate cake perhaps) but I went away full, happy, and ready to go back.
It’s a cute place and it seems like the food can be good, but my fish dish was uncooked.
Sean was outstanding. Went on his recommendation when trying to choose between two entrees. Fish Tacos were fabulous, just the right amount of heat in the sauce, and slaw topping was perfect.
Coffee is served European style in small cups, can drink before it gets cold. Refills were right there, pretty sure Sean has ESP. Will be back to try more on the menu.
Parking at the restaurant or public $ parking extremely reasonable.
Very comfortable restaurant with a neighborhood vibe in the city. Steve our waiter was excellent as he was both informative and hysterical.
The food has gone downhill. The chicken portion was small and not very tender. The pancakes were way salty. The Brussels sprouts were very oily. No more olives. I don't think we will be back. It used to be our favorite restaurant.
We had a lovely meal (fried green tomatoes shared, kale caesar with applewood bacon and avocado added, and fish tacos). My only issue is that those chairs could use some seat cushions. The kind that tie on to the uprights of the back of the chair.
My wife and I arrived at 8pm on a Wednesday. The server was pleasant but the food took FOREVER to arrive. The place was not busy at all. What really ruined the experience for us was when a party of 4, seated next to us at least 10 minutes after we had placed our order, got their food before us! Unacceptable. My wife is over it, though I might go back to try the fish tacos. The bimbimbap was meh and no match for the one I had at the Kim Jong Smokehouse in Portland. Mmm, still thinking of it 6 months later. Served with a short rib and a fried egg. A definite OO!
The food is so good at Pullman Kitchen that barely anything else matters. However, they have excellent, attentive service and kind staff on top of it all. The issue is that the restaurant threads this line between being a cool place and being a quaint nice place. It does a good overall job of balancing those two elements, but what ends up happening is that the clientele become a mix of people looking for a long form sit down experience and people looking for a drink and a meal. In my two times at this restaurant, those two crowds have ended up creating a distractingly odd environment while dining. But, since the food is amazing, it is hard to stay distracted by anything but deliciousness. Great place. I will return.
Menu is well created and makes every bite satisfying
I was disappointed in Pullman Kitchen. When I was investigating a place to eat I thought that the menu for this restaurant was much more expansive. The selections to eat were limited and both myself and three lunch companions thought the food was just okay.
We had a group of ten and had to leave early enough to catch the theater. The server and kitchen handled our group with a friendly efficiency that made us feel un-rushed. The multi course meal was delicious for all.The choices were varied and all tempting. We all had a wonderful dinner and made the theater on time.
The Pullman Kitchen has good sustainable food, very good menu with delicious options!
The food was delicious all around for the 6 of us and we loved many of the choices on the menu. Waitress was great as well. Attentive and friendly but not overly solicitous. The only thing I didn't like is the chairs as they were not very comfortable for my back. Otherwise I will return.
Nice little place. Would recommend for quiet evening on a date
Excellent mix of creativity and taste for diners looking for a regular eatery. The service from Tom was outstanding. This will be my first of many visits.
This was my fifth time at Pullman Kitchen. Food is consistently excellent, and service is consistently mediocre. You can have the best food in the world, but if your whole meal is overshadowed by lackluster service, it doesn't matter. I brought a group of clients for dinner. Wait staff was inattentive and seemed like they had better things to do. It took a lot of effort to get wine ordered and brought out. They were out of 4-5 reds on the menu. I felt embarrassed in front of my clients and won't do a business dinner here again.
Thank you for great service
Food was fabulous. Loved the soup and fried green tomatoes. Their signature dish -Chicken was out of this world. Halibut was good- a bit more chutney would have put it over the top. Brioche bread pudding to die for❤️
Best was Steven our waiter. He was great and kept us laughing. Definitely we will visit again!!!
We were very disappointed with brunch at the Pullman Kitchen. For high prices the portions were small and the plates a bit empty as though the sides were coming separately but they never did. No toast with your eggs, no fruit with any dish - just main dish and potatoes. Coffee was cold and had to be remade and there was no coffee except regular and decaf / no espresso machine, so no cappuccinos or lattes. French toast was too dry. I love brunch and going out for breakfast and maybe this place is better for lunch or dinner but I will not be going back. I’d recommend they stop trying to do brunch unless they can step it up.
Love the food, excellent service but wished I Had asked for a table inside the restaurant rather than in the lobby. Maybe they seated us there because we were four? Are only couples seated inside? The lobby is somewhat cold and noisy.
The Pullman Kitchen has a wonderful blend of creative dishes and comfort favorites. When I visit Santa Rosa it is a must! The fish tacos are among the best I've ever had and there is a nice wine list to pair with local favorites. The food is fresh, innovative and you'll have a thoroughly satisfying evening out. Steven provides a warm welcome and exceptional table service.
In downtown Santa Rosa, this cute little restaurant was a surprise. The food was very fresh and tasty. Great ambiance. Nice vegetarian options.
Food was fantastic! One we would come to regularly if we lived in the area.
Saturday brunch was not crowded or even energetic- it was a really nice time to get together with friends and have a great meal and a great chat. Our server was fantastic - awesome recommendations on the menu and local wine industry tidbits! We will be back- especially for the creative brunch menu!
