The Pub Club
I would not take anyone to this place unless you are of a college age
We had made reservation on open table for 8 before Bucks game and when we got there we were informed they don’t take reservations on game day. It was a dump any way with very few customers and tables more of a bar. We left.
This place was dead. Most of the menu items that I saw off of what I looked at on here were NOT at all part of the menu at the restaurant. The bbq my mom had had a good taste. The soup I had was cold. The mac n cheese grilled cheese was cold. The bread was barely toasted. We ate a little and left. I would only recommend this place for a group of guys wanting some bar food before a game. I will say the gentleman working behind the bar that sat us and was also our waiter was very nice. We were literally the only ones in here and they couldn't manage to serve hot food! Please update menu to match.
Having never been to the Pub club this was our experience. We arrived and the host seemed surprised that we had a reservation. It was a strange response. Once at our table a server arrived quickly to take our drink order. We were given no napkins or silverware. I ordered the chili and my friend ordered the soup. Both came to the table cold. We had to ask for napkins and silverware after the they arrived. We sent the chili and soup back which were microwaved because the dishes came back blazing hot. The soup tasted good but the chili was super spicy and thick from being microwaved. Our dinners arrived. I had the chicken tacos and they were tasty. My friend had a sandwich and fries. The FF were totally bland. No seasoning at all. Our table had no salt or pepper on it so we had to find a server to ask for some. The restaurant was pretty dead and the music was not great. We ended the night by using the restroom. One stall had a big black trash bag wrapped around the toilet. Someone must have clogged it and they did not fix it because you could smell the stench in the next stall over. I would NEVER go here again or recommend it to anyone. I paid $35 for an overall terrible experience.
Cancelled dinner reservations that were made a month prior the afternoon of dinner. There was an event that night and they apparently don’t take reservations the day of events so we were left scrambling trying to find somewhere else to go (we were coming from out of town). Not sure why this wasn’t noticed before the afternoon of the reservation.
We got there on time for a dinner reservation, and they were super busy and said they lost their outside tables and a couple tables broke that day, so they couldn’t honor our reservation. It would have been nice to find that out earlier in the day. We’re going there before a concert and everywhere else was booked up. Very disappointed!! I was excited to try this restaurant because the menu looked good, but definitely won’t go back.
Our 6:15 reservation turned into not getting a table for an additional 45 minutes and then waited another 45 minutes to get our food (couple tacos, fries). We only had a party for 3. I understand it was super busy and that the host didn't show up but when they were calling for a table with 6:30 reservations and they skipped right over us that is when we got upset. My suggestion is that the Pub Club staff more people when a concert or event is happening at the Fiserv Forum. Food was okay bar food. Not sure that I will go back here as there are many of other venues around the entertainment district.
I would not recommend this place. We had 6:00 reservations and stood behind the Please wait to be seated sign and no one came. At about 6:20 we walked around and ended up sitting at a table. Then the manger came over to ask if we had reservations. The waitress gave us the wrong drinks. Food and service took forever.
Food was great...drink selection on the other hand was not the best...had looked at the website and they knew nothing about the drinks the said they offered and could not make any of them.
Aaron our bartender was so energetic but not overbearing just super observant of every patron in the house. He listened to our wants and engaged us at the appropriate amount. Great place to watch sports and also have a conversation
Food was outstanding! Service was really slow, though. It looked like they may have been short-staffed, and it was Downtown Dining Week. Took almost 2 hours for lunch.
Great food but nightclub atmosphere during dinner hours.
Server was very attentive but neither of thought the food was very good. Good for quick pregame meal as it’s close to the Bucks arena. Enjoyed the wings however.
We went because they took reservations on the night of a Bucks game. That was helpful, but the experience was nothing special. The restaurant was very cold as well.
Service was bad, so was food, except for chicken tenders.
Nice place near Bradley Center. Food was good and not overpriced. Very casual.
Completely shot staffed and ill prepared for a Friday evening with many events going on. Our order took over 35 minutes to reach us. My sister's chicken tenders took the longest and arrived about 10 minutes after our food did. Not impressed.
Menu has changed. Soup still very good. Service was very slow but wait person was very nice. Average to good bar food. Good for quick bite before BMO
Jalapeño appetizer should of been warm ... maybe serve the appetizer on a warmed plate . The sandwiches were hot and so were the fries .
Consistently great spot before a BMO event. Our wait person seemed slow or disorganized but food great and she did hurry at the end.
We will return due to food and location.
slow service, food was not good and made me sick. It was downtown dining. They ran out of some options. Waitress was forgetful blamed a new server for her slowness and grabbing food that was supposed to be hers. Desserts were store bought. Flank steak was chewy and baguette was burnt also the sandwich was missing the red onions. Our group of 7 was NOT impressed.
The food was ok and the waiter was very good. We were there to try it out during down town dining. I that the value set on the lunch was way too high. The sound level was quite high and there were only a few people in the pub club at the time.
Horrendous - service was sassy, food was either cold or cooked beyond edible. Nothing positive to say, except we left and will never go back. Apparently the chef quit - do you need a culinary degree to cook a burger or serve an app hot?
Great soup. Good fun. Great location. Very good service. Great location
This visit was between sessions of the ncaa tournament at the bradley center. The place was packed. I give the restaurant a lot of credit for honoring the reservation as we waited only two minutes for our table. The service was good and the food even better. We will return.
This was our first time here and we came specifically for Taste & Toast. We were greeted and seated immediately. The beer we ordered came in a chipped glass and the waitress just poured it into another glass. (Watched her) So we asked for a new beer and ordered one of the specialty appetizers. A half hour later, we finally got one of the appetizers. Had to ask for the 2nd appetizer we ordered. Then waitress brought our bill without asking if we were finished. It was not packed so no reason for the delay in food. The bright spot was the Manager. She apologized and took care of our entire bill as well as gave us a gift certificate to come give the restaurant another try. So we will.
They were out of a couple of items and a little slow on the food- but service was great and the food was as well. Will be back!
The Pub Club cancelled our reservation the day of the reservation giving us only 4 hours notice. They had decided to close for a staff meeting. We had made the reservation 2 weeks in advance because we were meeting friends and then attending a show downtown. We wanted to be sure we would be able to eat and get to the show on time, thus the advance reservation.
We do not feel this is a good business practice. Unfortunately, we also bought a Groupon for the Pub Club based on the reservation. Thus, we had to pay for dinner twice and now we are stuck with a Groupon that we no longer care to use. We will never recommend the Pub Club and have shared our bad experience with friends and family.
Their website is misleading. The menu was very limited in comparison to the web menu. Neither item I was looking forward to were on the current menu. Food was okay. Great location if heading to the Bradley Center.
Hadn't been there before but was recommended by a friend. Six of us met for dinner and were pleased with the diversity of the menu and friendliness of the staff. Would go back again.
Service outstanding, need to modify your website it is misleading...you do not have your own parking lot in back.
Perfect for food & drinks before heading to the Bradley Center for the game!
Very good spot for a fast meal and drink before a game or downtown event. Upscale bar food. Beware portions are huge!
This place was somewhere new with an interesting menu so my husband and tried it on our date night. The ambiance was what I expected but service and food not good at all. It took 15 minutes after sitting down for our waitress to acknowledge us. When she finally did it was with an excuse of short staff and being busy. Which is not what we care to hear. Finally we get our appetizer(before we get our drinks!) and the smoked Gouda won't on sticks we're good. We get our meals and my husband bison Burger was way too salty that he only ate half. My open faced steak sandwich was cold and dry. Had to ask for siracha sauce(was delicious) but by the time I got it my sandwich was extremely cold. Our waitress was barely there to ask how our food was or for us to get her attention. Never going again!
It was Halloween weekend and it was busy and LOUD our server said it's not normally like that. We had the bison sliders that were excellent! Hubby had bison burger and raved about it! We asked for the chef and told him it was excellent! Server said 1/2 price apps during the week during happy hour. Looking forward to a week might date night with hubby .
Upon arrival we were told they had an unexpected party and therefore they could not honor our reservation. In addition, it was very loud and not really a dining experience, but just a bar. We left and will never return. They shouldn't take reservations if they are not going to honor them.
Good spot for a quick bite before a BMO event or other event downtown. Some unusual choices on the menu. Lots of sandwich choices.
I had a turkey wrap (Giardinara, avocado spread, spring mix, tomatoes, red onion, white cheddar) that wasn't seasoned very well. It lacked flavor. The avocado spread was so thin, it barely added any taste. I added guacamole to the wrap when I had it the next day. So much better. Giardinara pepers were not spread very well. It was on the end part of the wrap, so my mouth was on fire. The bison sliders were excellent. Lots of flavor, very tasty!
Burgers and sandwiches are delicious! Smoked gouda sticks were AMAZING!
