The Pub by Wegmans Malvern Ratings and Reviews
Had a nice dinner at Wegman's Pub. Love their chicken sandwich and even though they changed the recipe. I get it made the original way and it is very tasty. The service is good. If you get there before 6 pm, it is happy hour and I had a $4 glass of wine! So I recommend going to the Pub. You will enjoy it.
We came for the Lobster week specials and it was well worth it. We love the creative seasonal specials that Wegmans creates to entice people to come. There seemed to be something on the menu for everyone and the staff was friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next meal at Wegmans Pub.
We made a reservation at the Pub before we went grocery shopping. Service took so long and by the time we ate, we sat there for so long, we didn't feel like shopping anymore.
It took about 10 minutes to be greeted at the table, and about 5 more minutes to get drinks.
We ordered the soft pretzels to start, because it seemed like to food was coming out of the kitchen pretty slowly and we were hungry.
For dinner, both of us got the quarter pound burgers medium rare.
20 minutes later, the burgers came out, and were well done. They also had a strange taste to them. I noticed on the menu that they were irradiated burgers. After looking into it, it has something to do with radiation to make meat safer to eat... sounds like it's just adding chemicals to the meat.
I had to alert the staff that we never received our pretzels to start. The appetizer didn't come out until we were finished our dinner.
When the pretzels finally came to the table, there was about a teaspoon of cheese in the ramekin.
The whole service and meal was extremely disappointing. It's better to just go to the salad bar, or order an $8.00 meal and eat in the cafe.
Overall the experience was very good but there were a few issues. 1. Not having been there before, it was not clear where the Pub was in relation to the outside tables, which at first I thought was the Pub. I met a group there and one person had wandered around because of the same issue and then not seeing our party which was tucked in a corner. Even though I'd made reservations and told the greeter and the waiter that we had a group coming, he had no help finding us. 2. The service started out great. But then the servers just disappeared! We started with a lot of time to get to a 2pm matinee but ended up rushing to get there on time because we couldn't find the wait staff. The restaurant was not very crowded. I love Wegman's but not sure I'd eat in the the Pub again. Next time maybe we all grab lunch from somewhere in the market and meet outside like the other people did. With (non-alcoholic) drinks and tip, I felt I'd overpaid. Thanks much.
We stopped into the pub for a quick dinner and we were pleasantly surprised how great the food was. I had the pan seared salmon green beans and rice and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the chicken caprise and kale with garlic and he said it was one of the best meals he's had out in a long time. We finished up with the bread pudding! Definitely would recommend !
Enjoyed eating at the Pub at Wegmans for an early dinner on Sunday. It was not crowded. The menu is very nice. I had the Asian chicken salad. It has delicious flavor and ingredients. My only complaint would be that the noodles were not soft, but seemed uncooked. My husband had a great vegetarian meal - portabello steak with 2 sides. Overall a nice experience. We will go back for sure.
Always enjoy lunch or dinner at the pub. They have the same menu for both and reasonable prices. I have a favorite sandwich that they recently changed and they offered to make it the old way if I let them know ahead of time. When I made the reservation, I asked for the sandwich made the old way and that is what they did. Very good service, very good food. I recommend eating here.
We went for brunch with Santa. The food, as usual, was absolutely delicious and there is an ample kids menu with healthy options. The drink I had was hand crafted and amazing and the beer list is pretty good too, though I personally am not a big beer drinker. Santa was super friendly and we had an all around good time.
went on a Tuesday for lobster night, The lobster was delicious but small, The portion of steak that came with steak and lobster was also small, and the potatoes were almost nonexistent. Waitress brought our food and disappeared. Never had lobster at a restaurant when I was not brought a bib and wet wipes - neither were provided. Also, we get take out from the Pub on occasion. Food is good, but would love to see them change up the menu.
i did not choose a specific item to recommend this restaurant for obvious reasons as explained below. The hostess was very good. She accommodated us even though we brought more people than our reservation specified.
The waitress, likewise was very good.
The food took excessively long to appear. The lobster special (1lb) was very good as were some of the other items. However, two of our party ordered the lobster macaroni special which listed for as much as the 1lb lobster. Plenty of macaroni. Virtually no lobster. We felt cheated and complained. The waitress agreed (she has had that complaint before) and refunded us one of the orders.
Went on spur of moment found out Tuesday nights are lobster night. They were out of lobsters. Other patrons commented they were told they always run out by 6 pm. Maybe they should reconsider quantity or not advertise if they can't meet demand. Server was very apologetic. They also were out of my second meal choice
