The Pub by Wegmans Allentown Ratings and Reviews
Usually very good. Came for lobster night, but recently changed to burger night. Ok order burgers, but menu has typo showing aged beef burgers for $8 not the $10 they charge. Then the worse part. My wife found a hair in her burger and she could not finish her meal. Told waitress and she told manager and he did not charge for my wife's burger. But the damage was done.
Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over, but expecting a different result? Well, this was our 6th time eating at the Pub at Wegman's and it was a terrible experience again. The food is great! The service every. single. time has been atrocious. We were there this past Sunday morning for the Santa brunch. We never saw a waitress for the first 20 minutes. Then, a person who I assume was a manager came over to take our order. 30 minutes later we get our food. No drink refills. We flag down a waitress who reveals she is supposed to be OUR waitress, but didn't have time to greet us. OK, but she never came over at all until we got her attention. She refilled our coffee, but only brought me half a cup with a promise to come and fill it up when more coffee was done. That never happened. We were there for close to 90 minutes. We will never go back.
All food that we ordered was very good but not all menu items are a great value. Happy hour food prices are decent. Service was very good and on-line reservations went very well. Drink prices, other than happy hour, are a bit over the top, at least I thought it was for my beverage. $4 for a 12 oz. bottle of Miller Lite? At 24 bottles a case, that would be a cost of $96 for a case of Miller Lite. No one in their right mind would make that purchase at a beer distributor. Of course, no beer distributor would sell a case at that price either. There is no reason to charge $4 a bottle and I won't be making that mistake again.
Enjoyed our meal this visit. We arrived a few minutes before Happy Hour ended and the staff went out of their way to see to it that we could take advantage of the happy hour specials (which arrived fresh and piping hot!) Just wondering why the bread changed from an assortment of slices to dipping squares.
Food was ok but not at regular Wegman's level of greatness. My chicken was charred and hard ... I took it home and my dogs had it the next day. The noise level was loud. It was very difficult to hear the others in our party speak. I'm not sure we'll return.
I met my friend there before the movies. She is on a tight budget, so we went for the Happy House and she was very much pleased to have dinner WITH a drink for $15.00.
We just returned from the Pub again this morning for your Sunday Brunch after church. That was also a great meal and a wonderful selection which you don't see in the Lehigh Valley very often. Love Wegman's. thank you..
Way overpriced for what was served.
No attention to details - chicken sandwich had too
much ranch dressing, beef sandwich had too much blu cheese
and the turkey and cheese had minimal contents.
Don't care to see all the crushed french fries on the floor in
the open kitchen.
We were there during Lobster Week, and the Pub was packed! We had reservations, and were seated on time. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, and did the best she could, based on the crowd. The noise level was a bit too much, as we had trouble hearing each other. My friends and I were seated in one of the corner booths, as there were 5 of us. The food was excellent - 4 of us got lobsters, and the 5th got a salad. Everyone was happy with their dinner. I enjoyed a lovely wine with my dinner. We were not rushed, which was very nice, because we only see each other once/month. There is seating outside, but I don't know if is for Pub patrons or for take-out patrons.
We enjoyed our meal very much. The server was friendly, courteous and attentive. The meal value was excellent. The only draw back was the noise level and tables being a little too close together. We've been three several times before and will return. The food is always excellent.
This review was for brunch on 8/6. Service was very slow. Food was only warm not hot. Holandaise sauce was barely visible and had no flavor. Have been to pub several times for burgers and dinner and was excellent. We were very disappointed this time for brunch.
