The Pub by Wegmans Allentown
Miranda was such an attentive server. The food came out quickly, was fresh and well made!
From the moment we walked to the podium until the time we paid our bill, the service was wonderful. Our servers name was Tammy and she was phenomenal. The amount of food, and quality of food was quite exceptional. We will definitely return in the near future.
I wouldn't go back for the food. It tasted more like cheap bar food, but could definitely find better. Drinks are good.
Valentines Day- they seemed overwhelmed. Drinks took a long time to come out. Food was fair. My husband had fish & chips and said it was greasy. I had the margherita flatbread and the way it was plated made it very soggy.
the pub was not full but we had to wait almost 25 minutes to get served after ordering. We had three waitresses and one had assumed we were waiting for the check and was stunned when we told her we hadn't been served yet. Food was average but you could tell it had been sitting under the hot lamps awhile. We go to the Pub fairly often and sometime service and food are great but more and more we have encountered problems. It would do well to change the menu a bit more frequently as well.
you can do away with the live entertainment because virtually nobody even listens to them. Additionally the quality of the music is decidely lacking.
Laura did an outstanding job serving us, as always! Two of the guests at the table requested to split a meal- and she went the extra mile to have the kitchen arrange the plates for each of them just perfectly!
You can loose the music because most people are tuning it out anyway.
It was a busy Sunday after working and visiting a loved one in ICU and we were hungry. Being vegan on a Sunday night is not easy, so we checked the menu on mine and found at least one thing I could eat so we made reservations on Open Table and went in. I was so exceptionally thrilled to find out our waitress was also vegan and she helped me navigate through individual items on the menu so that I could ask for substitutions and omissions to create a delicious dining experience. I wish I remembered her name because I would love to make sure she found out how grateful I was beyond me telling her before we left.
Where I sat, you could tell you were in a grocery store, but other seats were more in the restaurant feel. I had the chicken shawarma, which was ok. Pretzel app was great. Their ketchup is housemade, which is something to get used to. Service was fast and friendly.
A favourite for a quick evening out, nice menus, food always great including tonight, service top as always.
Good variety of appetizers, seasonal cocktails, entrees, and specials.
I have been several times and never disappointed until this time. I ordered a special sandwich and a side of broccoli. The sandwich I was served was not what I ordered. The server left my fries which were ice cold by the time my correct sandwich I arrived. Additionally my steamed broccoli was extremely overcooked and soggy. I will come back and hope that this was an anomaly.
My husband & I had a very late dinner than usual for us. Our reservation was at 8 PM. Our server was excellent. I have been a server in my earlier employment & I very much appreciated Sarah's attention to detail. I enjoyed my fish tacos although my husband was not overly happy with his Reuben sandwich. I'm not sure if he was feeling his best that evening, so I would not say for sure that this menu item was sub-par. Generally the food is very good. The beer selection is sadly not usually the best in our opinion. We especially search out restaurants with local craft beer. We, along with our friends, would seriously be more regular customers if this aspect of the restaurant was improved. There are so many Lehigh Valley breweries & so many excellent brews. It is a couple of weeks into Fall but there were still "summer" selections on the menu. Fegley's in Allentown offers one of the best pumpkin brews around and it always disappointing not to find this on tap at an Allentown pub. One of the evening's highlights was the entertainment by Jackson Howard from the Philly area. He is an accomplished musician, singer and performer as well as a really nice guy.
Half price apps on a Friday night is a great idea!
Sat at the bar. Nice to see the open kitchen and everything made fresh. The lobster roll was overflowing with lobster which was nice to see for the price but could use a bit more flavor. Burgers were cooked to perfection. Martini was a bit small for the price but decent tasting. Service is always welcoming and quick. Never had a bad meal here.
Nice seasonal menu selections. Good place to meet my husband for lunch.
Service was friendly and quick. The food was very good.
Server fantastic. Lobster gnocchi was ok. Lobster tough though.
As usual the food was great, service very good, it is a restaurant in a grocery store, but they do a wonderful job, sometimes hard to tell it is in a grocery store, a favourite for a mid week dinner.
Service was the worst I've had in a long time. Gentleman was polite but visited the table to take order and when we were done eating. I had the pork "chop" special, chops are not 1/4" thick, and they were very overcooked. Honey peach glaze lacked flavor. Green beans were properly cooked. Redeeming quality on the dish was the coconut rice, correct texture and flavorful. My wife's lobster roll was lacking flavor and seasoning. I will not be following my two strike rule for this place. No bueno!
Wonderful lobster roll and grilled sprouts and delicious moules! What a treat to find it after a long day in the car en route to Maine! Great cocktail too.
It's a restaurant in a grocery store, you would never know it. Very fresh food, preparation top notch, light fun place, great for a week night dinner without to much flourish. We enjoy this venue very much.
Went there to celebrate my birthday... the lobster roll is out of this world!! My husband had the crab cake sandwich that was amazing!!
Food was well prepared and fresh. Good selection of wine and beer on tap. Atmosphere is ok, a bit loud but you are at a grocery store. Very convenient if you also must go grocery shopping.
Food was just OK. Thought the burgers were a little small. The Reuben sandwich was good, but a little pricey. Greek salad was good, but very small for the price. Service and ambiance were good, just thought all of the prices were a little on the high side for what we got.
Nice place to eat. Food was good. Service was a little slow even though it went busy. I got a 1/4 lb. burger that was probably 2 oz. after cooking. Ordered desserts as well. Very small portions.
Overpriced! 3 adults 1 child with only drinking water was $125! We had pretzels and wings for appetizer and we ordered 3 desserts. Husband ordered stuffed salmon which was just ok, I ordered chicken wrap which was good and oldest son ordered fish and chips which was a small portion...only 1 piece of fish. I’d definitely go somewhere else for you he price we paid.
The food was delicious. The service was terrific. I had the crab cake sandwich. Very yummy!!
Very relaxed atmosphere and food was delicious. Two people had the fish and chips and I had the turkey burger- everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. Service was great too. We also had a round of Brandy Alexander’s - yum
Honestly, the food was ok, but nothing spectacular. The wings were drizzled with our choice of sauce but not doused in it, the way you would expect. Paid $16 for a chicken Caesar salad ( $9 for the Caesar salad and $7 to add a piece of chicken) which is comparable to any of the ones I could get anywhere else for much cheaper. Came here once before and wasn’t pleased. Not sure why I decided to come back. It’s overpriced and not worth it. Learned my lesson.
Crab cakes can't be beat. We come for the crab cakes since other places have too much filler and litttle crab meat.
Good casual atmosphere! Was there lobster night...great NE lobster roll...big portions of sides.
Everything overall was great. Always a pleasant experience.
Good food. Atmosphere is nicely decored, but it was loud and drafty. The service was fine and the food came out quick.
Interesting place located in a grocery store. Food was very good. Tables are close together. Not bad for a quick bite before shopping.
We always enjoy our dinner at The Pub. Some of our favorites are: fish & chips, crab cakes and the french dip sandwich......which is outstanding!!
The meal was awful. It looked as though it should have been served to me on a plastic tray at the local nursing home. The mashed potatoes were the consistency of puréed noodles and appeared even worse. The salmon was over-cooked and sat in a puddle of some questionable cream sauce. The steamed kale was foul. My husband and I will not be returning.
We had a great time!
