This is our second year in a row at The Prune and we were delighted once again. The Prune is now of our must go restaurants when we visit Stratford. The chef has a creative and delicate touch with all of the dishes. Everyone was delighted with their choices without exception. Mains included monkfish, pork belly and steak frite, all perfectly prepared and presented. The Prune suggests a 3 or 4 course Prix Fixe, so we like to go on an evening when we don't have a play and can take our time to enjoy their excellent cuisine. However most of the patrons were all going to the play following their dinners. As the portions are reasonable, the fixed menu would not hinder one's enjoyment of the play afterwards.

The food was extraordinary and the service was lovely. As a result of a couple of miscommunications between wait staff and the kitchen, they served us an additional dish while we waited, and then comped some of our drinks. I was extremely impressed with how this was handled. We will return when next in town.

Our meal was amazing from start to finish. From the crispy fried green tomatoes to the delicate squash filled ravioli to the creamy creme caramel, each bite was unique and delicious. We enjoyed many additional unique flavours with extra starters and sharing plates. We had a lovely time at the Prune!

Ambiance, service and food were excellent. The three of us all had different appetizers, main courses and desserts. Each had the opportunity to taste all of them and we agreed that it was all terrific. The staff was personable, courteous and very helpful. The wine that was recommended was both suitable and reasonable in price. The "tea" sommelier was expert in assisting in this choice also. The Prune is not for the "faint of wallet", but the entire experience was was well worth the price. One doesn't mind paying for a wonderful dinner exprience.

We dine at Prune every year when we attend the festival. We have always had an exceptional dining experience. The food is excellent. The service is attentive, considerate and most friendly. This year there was mix-up with umbrellas. Mine went to another patron. Tony went and retrieved my umbrella on his way to work the following day, a considerate and generous act.
