Great experience but patrons are starting to dress down more than they used to. Hunting vest should not be acceptable as a sport coat. The food service is great as always.
Fantastic like always !
They took great COVID precautions and we felt very safe .
Each course was better than expected. the dog salad was amazing and my wife said the crab cake was one of the best she ever had. The service was fantastic.
Perfect service at this DC institution. And they do social distancing exactly the right way; why in the world these restaurants are being forced to close is beyond me.
Great place for steaks. With the old school steak house fell.
We celebrated our birthdays which are 4 days apart. Impeccable service, and dinner was fantastic. Thank you!
The host was so welcoming and nice. The waiters were amazing. Excellent service. The food was great!
Always a great experience on all fronts - the ambiance, the service and the food. Nothing better than how this place puts us in the mood for a great meal and always delivers!
Was an excellent experience- was greeted very nicely by host- asked us about our anniversary- tables were separated so plenty of privacy. Cant have a drink at the bar due to the obvious but the drinks had the best presentation- we weren’t in a hurry and they didn’t make us feel rushed. The limited menu still has a lot of delicious choices- we really enjoyed our evening and dinner there- was sort of surprised that the prices were very reasonable.
The boss (wife) wants to make it regular spot for a nice night out.
The service was underwhelming for a $$$$ restaurant.
Perfect service and great food! Timeless!
I noticed the dress code has changed, sad to see people in Tennis shoes!
Tremendous as always
Excellent food and service! Highly recommend! My favorite restaurant in DC!
Our prime ribs and sides (creamed spinach, potatoes au gratin, macaroni and cheese) were outstanding! The service was also excellent. A wonderful night out that made of feel "normal" during these difficult times.
great once again from all phases, however the Trout dish was removed, hope to bring back soon1
This place never fails to deliver despite the pandemic. We were one of two couples on our evening.
Great service Great food My wife took me for my birthday and I could not have asked for a better dinner
Best place in DC for prime rib. My wife loves the clams casino.
outstanding, staff was great, very professional! The dinner was amazing, I'm telling all my friends about the excellent experience!
The Prime Rib is constant in it's high level of service, ambience and quality of food. I highly recommend this restaurant!
My only issue was there was a couple sitting close to my table taking photos, this made me uncomfortable!
Always fabulous
The Prime Rib is one of DC’s closely-guarded secrets, tucked behind a graceful sidewalk canopy and hidden behind festoons of creamy shirred taffeta toward the quieter, Georgetown end of K Street NW.
American classic cuisine is perfectly prepared in a polished and swanky atmosphere, accompanied by black tie’d musical stylings at the grand piano in the center of the room, and served by adept and skillful waiters shimmering silently across the utterly chic leopard print carpeting.
Larry your mâitre d’ is attentive to your every need, welcoming you by seating you at your favorite table, without you needing to ask. Insiders are treated to bits of wisdom and humor imparted quietly between courses, and every guest is awash with warm wishes of their good health and speedy return when they depart.
Behind the u-shaped leather-padded bar, Fitzy swizzles up the best and latest in spirited cocktails. Though your table is always ready when you arrive, the cognoscenti frequently turn left into Fitzy’s domain before sitting down for an in-person mixology demonstration. Coldest martinis this side of the North Pole, and a Negroni to knock your literal socks off.
Prime Rib is the eponymous house spécialitié, and this family-owned establishment’s delectably refined fîlets and chops put to shame DC’s “chain store steak houses”. But the discerning patron will ask their decorous waiter for items not listed on the menu, and which are not always available; such as Dover Sole and Lobster Santiago, named for a famed Prime Rib chef. If you’re lucky enough, have both like I did on Friday.
Other favorites; crab cakes packed with fresh crab and little else, savory lobster bisque, Buzz’s salad (just ask), the rack of lamb, Chilean sea bass , chicken piccata, the Brussels sprouts, broccolini, haricots vert, bread pudding, and pecan pie à la mode.
The Prime Rib is like champagne; delicious, urbane, and not just for special occasions. Treat yourself!
Outstanding Outstanding Outstanding. Great environment, incredible food, and magnificent service. The experience was one of the best I have had a five-star restaurant. The wait staff was professional, entertaining, and knowledgable providing excellent customer service and a friendly smile to top it off. Thank you for the outstanding experience.
No other restaurant in the city compares. Attentive and welcoming staff, incredible food and gorgeous decor. The best place in the city for a proper evening out.
The Prime Rib was great. Decor was beautiful. Fresh Calla Lily floral arrangement was a centerpiece and stunning. The food was great. Steak cooked perfectly. The bread pudding with rum raising sauce left little to be desired. It was meh ok, but some parts of it were cold which bought the warm parts down. Mashed potatoes to die for - creamy, creamy, creamy. Would absolutely visit again.
Real ambiance, attentive staff, and great food. It’s like eating in a world that makes sense.
It is an elegant extraordinary place

The Prime Rib was exceptional
as it always is. The food and gracious service combined with an elegant at atmosphere truly make this a special
place.
Always dependable for excellent food, service and atmosphere.
The social distancing started good but towards the end of our meal they sat a party a little too close considering there were only 4 seated tables in the whole place. But the food & service were terrific as usual.
Kim our waitress was so friendly and attentive. Drinks were great and the lunch cheeseburger, filet and my take home lobster santiago were fantastic. and the corn is amazing. Thank you!
One of my favorite restaurants. Always outstanding.
I want to give The Prime Rib 10 stars. It is the perfect location for a special occasion. My husband and I ate here for our wedding dinner and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. I worked with James in advance. Our server, the bartender, and the manager on duty during our dinner were phenomenal. I can not wait to go back. In addition to impeccable service, the food was perfectly prepared. He ordered lobster bisque, escargot, lobster, crab cakes, and of course steak.
Great service and delicious, dependable recipes. A DC classic proud of its traditions.
We had a wonderful dinner here for my birthday! Food was delicious, service was excellent, and we had a wonderful time!
Good place with awesome service and great food. Good place not to overpriced.
