This long time jewel continues to please. Our server, Samanunu, maintained the perfect balance between service and unobtrusiveness. Any dining suggestions she made exceeded expectations. Once again the Prime Rib proved to be the perfect venue for a wonderful evening.
Excellent in every way! Top notch, elegant dining. A wonderful experience all around.
Wonderful in all respects! Our server Tupo was perfect.
Excellent ambiance and the food was outstanding. Service was the best and the staff treated us as if we were VIP’s. Definitely recommend if you are i. The DC area and want an upscale experience.
The servers are very nice they pull out your chair for you they do whatever you need to have a great meal. There is a piano player playing nice relaxing music overall its a great place for an anniversary or a date
Some things never change. This place is old school cocktails and dinner place, love the service and food. Everything was perfect.
Truly an amazing upscale Restaurant. The food is the excellent and the service over the top. The best prime rib in town!!!
Celebrating my birthday abd our anniversary same date October 8.
This old favorite has continued to be the go to place for the highest quality steaks. And the potato skins are still the best in the city. The dining room has been upgraded during the pandemic and the service remains highly professional. It's still a DC gem.
Great place for special occasions! Highly recommend!
Not the best prime rib I have ever had but maybe it is personal preference. The only other relatively high end place to compare this to is Lawry's in chicago, which is better. If you like a fancy place that makes you dress up for a dining experience, then this is for you. However, that is not me and I have had better prime rib at less fancy establishments. You will get a good meal here, but you will pay for it.
I made reservations at The Prime Rib for my husband’s Birthday. After almost losing him to kidney failure (he has a new kidney now) this celebration was one to remember.
The service, food, ambience, and music was something for the books. This is a 100% Diamond Restaurant. Love it. We will certainly return to celebrate more occasions.
My son’s birthday and first time he ate at a real steakhouse so it may as well be the best In metro DC. The reason I marked value in the middle is because you don’t go here for value. It’s expensive. And it should be. It’s truly one of the best steak houses in the region.
Always a great meal at the Prime Rib
Once again, you guys did your think. I thank you sooo much for make a great time for me and my brother. He couldnt stop taking about it. See ya again soon.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance. The staff was amazing.
We love the elegance of the Prime Rib.
This has always been the best go-to in the area. From the piano to the overall ambiance, nothing else comes close!
We had a wonderful Birthday dinner for my mom here. The food was incredible and Jose M gave us incredible service will definitely be back !
My wife and I appreciate the fact that jackets are required for men. This sets the tone for The Prime Rib as one of the few remaining hi-end restaurants still adhering to a time when everyone "dressed up" to enjoy a special and elegant dining experience.
A good "pour" at the bar, live background music, friendly and attentive staff, and menu items that are well prepared.
Excellent all around! Celebrating a birthday and the food, service and ambiance we’re just what we were looking for .
Great food and ambiance with the piano! Drinks were great! Potato skins are a little over rated but a good starter if you have plenty of company with you since they give you a lot!
Mac and cheese definitely needs to include different cheeses and mashed potatoes need to be creamier or at least add some butter (very bland).
The steak was fantastic and cooked to perfection! I wish they had an option to add special butter or even peppercorn.
All in all, great spot especially for date night!
First time experiencing the prime rib and its truly 5 star! From the food to the decor to the service, exceptional. Highly recommend! The lamb was to die for
A wonderful meal in a beautiful room with a 1940"s atmosphere. The food was top notch! Must get the potato skins appetizer- a mouthful of crunchy goodness! Best crab cakes I've had in a long time. Rack of lamb was very flavorful and tender served with mint jelly. Service was first class and outstanding. Our server, Juan, was very attentive and polite but not obtrusive. You just had to think you needed something and he was there. Took me years to get there. Don't wait too long!
Wonderful service, the pianist is wonderful too. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. The lobster bisque is a must. I will be going again.
The only thing i would like to point out is that their valet service is very rude and not trustworthy. They try to force you to use valet even if there’s free parking spaces right by the restaurant.
I would fire them because they are not representing the standards of The Prime Rib and their customer service.
Amazing food, incredibly attentive staff, and the best D.C. experience. This was our second time at The Prime Rib and it was perfect again!
Make sure you leave room for the pecan pie, as it is out-of-this-world delicious.
It was out first time at the Prime Rib. It was lovely, but pricey! Save for a special occasion, but definitely go.
Great experience . Washington at its best. Unforgettable crab cakes !
We had the best dinner and wonderful evening at The Prime Rib! Excellent service, food and what a beautiful way to spend a night in DC with the piano playing as we enjoyed ourselves! Definitely recommend!!
Special thanks to the Prime Rib Staff for making our anniversary dinner experience memorable.
Excellent food in a sophisticated setting. Service was super and the pianist was very enjoyable!
We had a fantastic anniversary dinner at The Prime Rib. The food, service and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic.
I picked this place to go out for my birthday. My girlfriend booked the place. This was our first time going here. This place is a nice quiet jewel off K Street, N.W. The staff is very attentive from the valet person to the host and the server. I met a server by the same name as me. It was great we connected and he was very attentive. Everything from being attended to, to them cleaning the crumbs off the table in between appetizers and the meal. The food was wonderful. I had the Lobster Santiago. It's a must have. If you want a nice classy place and don't mind spending the money (which is worth it).... head to The Prime Rib in D.C..
Wonderful service. Excellent steak, heirloom tomatoes appetizer and au gratin potatoes. Sea bass was disappointing but came w/ an amazing tomato relish which saved it. Great coffee. Big wine pours. 😃 Piano player on Saturday night. Had an old feel. In a block which needs to be redone. $350 for 2 w/ tip
Interior of restaurant is beautiful with live music from a piano player. Perfect for date night. Expensive steak but worth the price. Staff very nice and helpful.
Having not been here since the pandemic, I was a little concerned would this still be the iconic establishment that it had been. I shouldn't have worried. The Prime Rib defines perfection. I highly recommend, especially for special occasions.
Incredible restaurant - an absolute must when in DC or Baltimore. The classy ambience, top quality service, mouth watering meal, and the drinks all combine for a stellar dining experience. Potato skins are out of this world and the perfect nibble with cocktails. Our group ordered filet, prime rib and lobster. All A+++ (mac n Chz, salads are delicious) new fave spot in dc.
Best ever, welcome back. The food was perfect. Will be back again and again.
Brought my six-year-old for dinner with Dad and he was treated like a VIP King in a high wingback leather chair. The piano player played awesome classic tunes like James Bond “The Spy Who Loved Me” and Larry the Maitre D performed amazing magic tricks at the table. Ambiance is first-class and the bar looked like a great place to hang. The Prime Rib was perfectly cooked and the sides were a excellent. Perfect for powerbroker meal or a date. Highly recommend it.
Celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. Lovely evening.
