Larry Braeman runs a fine dining room. From the initial greeting to the final goodbye of the evening, he makes his guests, whom he always addresses by name correctly, feel valued and appreciated.

The service was excellent, especially our wonderful server. Only complaint would be that the grilled artichoke hearts were sauteed and not grilled. We missed the charred marks and flavor.

It's the old school steakhouse experience. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was impeccable. The cocktails are fabulous. We ordered Old Fashions and the were 10/10. Must go.

I think I said it all in my ratings of the various aspects of our dining experience. I will add that The Prime Rib is a throw back to the steak houses years ago, in a very very good way. Kind of Art Deco decor (the feel of a Frank Sinatra setting); loved the soft combo music; excellent service; and quiet enough to converse!! Overall, a really nice dining experience, albeit pricey! Will go back

The food is very good and the service is excellent. The only drawback is the restaurant is over-priced and the restroom needs to be improved as water splashed everywhere when customers washed their hands.

I haven’t been to The Prime Rib in a while but was surprised of the substantial increase in prices. Wow! Also, when we first sat down, the waiter seemed distracted and not too interested. I mentioned this to the other couple with us. Later the waiters attitude improved a little. A little disappointed. I did not expect this. I knew the owner and he was a great guy! He would come sit at the bar and we’d have light conversations. Something changed. Would I recommend The Prime? Not sure, There are allot of great steakhouses in DC. This one is very expensive and not sure it was worth the money.

Phenomenal experience. From the moment we walked in the door until we left, the service was phenomenal. There was an individual in our group with a food allergy and the staff was very attentive to it throughout the meal. This is a classic steak/ prime rib joint with outstanding food. The ambience was enhanced by a live piano and overall was a great experience. This venue was great for a business dinner and would also be great for just a night out. Highly recommend!

Very happy with meal and service. Disappointed with seating. We sat in an area with tables on either side a foot apart. Luckily, neither table occupied until we were ready to leave. Would request a table in the middle of the room and not against the wall in the future. Not fair to couples to have tables set up like this.

Our server was not good at all. Ordered a beer before dinner. At the same time requested the bourbon list & the wine list. We did not see him again for over 20 minutes. When we did he was ready to take our order, again we had the ask for the lists we requested earlier. The food was VERY lack luster!!!!! And over priced for the low quality. Wedge salad, very small, swimming in dressing, way too much. Bone in rib eye, $132, not a good cut, lacked flavor, no sear. It was more like a Texas Roadhouse steak. The bus person was like a bull in a china closet. Also, after selecting a wine we had to remind our server to bring it to the table. He filled the wine glasses like they were water glasses. I dined with Mastro’s steakhouse the previous night, very good, I would highly recommend Mastro’s over this place. Three guys had dinner, the bill without tip was $1000.00. This meal was no where near fine steakhouse quality. I WILL NOT be back.

Exceptional food, service and ambiance. And a fantastic and accomplished two piece band (piano and bass) playing memorable tunes. If I lived locally, it would be my “go to” place, for sure.

You just don’t get better service than at the Prim Rib. The maitre d did magic tricks for my kid, Victor was beyond professional and courteous. And they have some of the best beef in town.
