Had the petite filet, and my daughter had the chicken italiano. The meal and experience was simply great. Great food, great server too.
Waitress, used very polite word's but rushed through us and walked away while we asked for items.
We sometimes don't want a full meal and prefer appetizers. Appetizers at Prime Rib are always great!
I enjoy eating at the Prime Rib Restaurant because their food always taste really good.
We go quite frequently and most of the time have great meals. I wish there were more specials to chose from. The last chicken fried chicken special was not very good.
Every Sunday our family gets together for dinner at a local restaurant. We always enjoy dining at The Prime Rib, the meals are excellently prepared and the staff are always easy to talk to. Thank you for another enjoyable Sunday dinner.
the service was great we all were well satisfied with our meals even the children were happy with their meal love the fact that you do not have music blaring, so we can visit while we eat. We will continue to make Prime Rib our choice for eating out
Love the potato cheese soup. Only concern was the server disappeared for a bit and we had to wait for check and I never got a water refill.
Wife and I prefer to go to Prime Rib during the middle of the week to avoid weekend crowds. Food is always good, done to our likeness, and service is always outstanding. Keep up the good work!
We enjoy The Prime Rib! Great food, staff, owner. Would always recommend them!
Excellent food and service. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend this restaurant.
The bourbon glaze on the salmon was more like soup. The pasta was way overcooked. The waitress was telling us how she was picking the chicken noodle soup out of her teeth. That's a delightful image.
Every time we go the food is good and service is always friendly.
We were looking for a quiet table for conversation between us and our two great friends. As well as excellent food. We were sat at a table straight across from the hostess so were subjected to the noise of people arriving and waiting for a table themselves. Right behind our heads was a shelf or table that the workers were doing something with dishes so it was clash and bang bang of dishes the whole time at almost ear level. My husband and I, sitting there about 2 feet from the noise, could not hear our friends across the table without leaning over the table and asking them to repeat themselves often. We ordered the onion rings and the Panko Mozzarella for appetizer's. The onion rings were flavorless and the Panko Mozzarella was cold. Cold mozzarella sticks are not one bit tasty! Everyone's meal were really good, except for mine. I had the Chicken Napa. The chicken was super greasy and the pasta had no garlic flavor at all. It tasted like pasta cooked in water and put on the plate. Our waiter, even though the restaurant was now where near at capacity, seemed to be running everywhere and each time he stopped at the table, would begin to run off before we were done talking. And it did take almost 15 minutes for him to stop by for our order. He even stopped mid run to see if our guys wanted more drinks and then ran off before asking the ladies of the table. My husband actually stopped him on his way when seeing he had no intention of stopping to order the ladies drinks.
Food is good. Service is OK. Ambience is not good. Overall a great value.
What made the event good was the waiter Miller B—he did his job with efficiency, equanimity, and professionalism—he never kept us waiting. Of course the great raspberries and Russian cream were succulent—and the conclusion mints punctuated a fine meal/experience!
I really enjoy The Prime Rib. It is one of the few places in town I can eat with all my food sensitivities and it doesn't bother me later!
We went for our anniversary. There's a reason they've been in business 35 yrs -- the food is outstanding! We both had halibut. The pieces of halibut were very large, thick, & cooked perfectly. Everything about the meal was fabulous.
Great place to eat and socialize. Food is good and service is excellent.
We appreciate and support our local businesses. Places like the Prime Rib Restaurant are what make Gillette. Thank you
The total experience was great. They allowed us to change from a booth to a table without hesitation. The waiter was great, very personable. And the food was outstanding. Both the calamari and the salmon were delicious!
Best prime rib I can remember ever having! Service was great and friendly.
This place was recommended for prime rib by friends but on the night we were there for prime rib what we got was not restaurant grade prime rib. It was lean and tough as leather. We cannot recommend this restaurant for prime rib.
The food was amazing! I was craving creme brûlée and extatic to see it on the menu! =) Tony was an awesome server and I would recommend the restaurant to anyone! So glad that the restaurant was open late as we stopped in after 11 hours or driving from Montana!
Last dinner out for the whole family before our son left
Previously reviewed on Trip Advisor; our experience was overall positive...good food, excellent affordable wine, and our server, 'Brandon', was a highlight...friendly, helpful and good-humored ;-) But because of the popularity, we ended up seated in a far corner of their back room, and near a family celebrating someone's birthday (in enthusiastic fashion).
There are several good dining choices in Gillette. We ate here once for lunch and once for dinner. On both occasions we found the selections and quality of the food excellent. The wait staff is knowledgeable and reasonably attentive. It is a favorite of ours in Gillette. I’m
The Prime Rib never disappoints. The best place to eat in Gillette without fail. The food is always wonderful and the service is usually top notch, tho our server seemed put out with us this time. Still was a very enjoyable meal.
Great waitress I believe her name was Joanne. My husband and I came from South Dakota celebrating our 6 year anniversary. As I stated above our waitress was great and made jokes with us. We ordered the breaded mozzarella and the breaded steak both were amazing. We both had the Caesar salad to which I could not eat, something in the dressing whether it was lemon or anchovie paste, made it very bitter. My husband didn’t seem to mind to much but I couldn’t get past it. I ordered the filet without bacon which was cooked to my liking, very soft and tender. My husband ordered an 18 oz boneless ribeye, cooked to his liking as well. We both had the garlic mashed potatoes which were delicious. My husband also ordered a side of brown gravy, his gravy unfortunately has a lot of the old hardened gravy film in it. Joanne was very quick to fix the problem and even told us the kitchen tried to give her lip about it but wasn’t having it and that that’s not okay to serve gravy like that. Overall we had a wonderful experience. I do feel like the menu is a bit over priced, but it is what it is.
We often eat at the Prime Rib as it is consistent and absolutely delicious. However, this fathers day was exceptional. The service was perfect, pacing our meal to our liking and reading our tables needs without being overbearing. The steaks were cooked to perfection, music on par, lighting enjoyable for any occasion.
This is a restaurant we will remember for a long time, and not in a good way. After we were seated, we noticed a server having a lengthy conversation with the guests at the table next to us. He was going on and on about what he was majoring in, what he wanted to do with his life, blah, blah, blah. After about 20 minutes, we learned he was OUR server. He finally took our drink order. Drinks arrived (they were about 1/2 the size they would be at any other restaurant), no silverware and no water. We had decided that that would be the night we would try some Wyoming beef. One of this restaurant's specialties was Prime Rib so we both ordered that. But first, our salads arrived. Instead of croutons, we had Rice Chex sprinkled on top! Seriously ?!??! I have attached a picture to this review. Our Prime Rib arrived. After asking for silverware, we BOTH cut into very tough meat. Definitely not "prime". Our server never bothered to come back to ask how our meals were so we didn't get to voice our dissatisfaction. At this point, we just wanted our bill and to vacate the property. On a positive note, the garlic mashed potatoes were quite good. The horseradish had a nice bite to it. I was not able to upload the salad with cereal picture. Website was having issues.
As usual the food was very good. I wish they still offered rice as a side. Prices have gone up a lot for the prime rib - almost $30 for a small. Good place for a special occasion.
The Prime Rib Restaurant beat all our expectations. Great food cooked just as was ordered. Outstanding wait persons and my wife especially liked the house dressing, so much so, she ordered a bottle to go, cannot get that in Iowa.
Great food, the best employee interaction and fun, really person reactions ever at a restaurant!!! Such a great experience! Mud pie is crazy fun and amazing!
Enjoyed our evening. Ended up with 11 of us.A good place.

Our waitress was amazing the atmosphere very nice. My husband ordered fish and it was good our son and my self had prime rid. The prime rib was terrible tough no flavor the worst I have ever eaten.
