Amazing experience, great service and memorable dining experience. Carlos is the best.
Great job as always. Dined with Prime Rib many times. Never disappoints. Service impeccable. Sean (waiter) was outstanding.
Eating at the Prime Rib is an experience. The food and service were exceptional.
Our server was great and the food was good, however the hostess(es) were rude and disrespectful—definitely left a bad taste in my mouth!
Very disappointed in the quality and taste of the food. My Prime Rib was under-cooked and very tough. The cauliflower was terrible tasting. The Buzz Salad was great, shrimp cocktail was awesome. Dessert was served microwave hot. Way over priced for the quality received. Not once did the waiter ask us if we enjoyed anything. No Maître D' was present.
Great service and great food
The waiter was rude and had a distinctly negative attitude problem. He was surly and arrogant throughout our entire dining experience. The final blow was when he picked up our bottle of red wine and emptied the entire remaining 15% of the bottle into my wife's glass, without sharing it with the other three people at the table. My mistake was ordering a second bottle of cabernet. He opened the bottle and poured it into MY EXISTING wine glass(NOT A FRESH GLASS to taste it), and then he walked AWAY. Did not offer any of our 2nd $105 Cabernet to any of the other three diners. I have dined at the Prime Rib in Philadelphia on many occasions, and this will be my last reservation at this establishment. Never again. I will be certain to share this expereience on yelp, urbanspoon, tripadvisor and opentable. UNBELIEVABLE!!!
We always love the prime rib… Chris was our waiter and didn’t outstanding job. The staff is always very friendly and funny for a 5 Star steakhouse
Expensive but worth it. The restaurant and bar has a classy ambiance.
It really was a wonderful experience. The. Food was great the table was very nice. Our waiter Derrick and his partner made the occassion. Unforgettable. It was our first time there. And we will return again. Thank you all for making it a special night
Lovely atmosphere and music. Would recommend to anyone passing through Philadelphia! Great for romantic or fMily gatherings.
we were very pleased with our dining experience. It was the weekend of the Army- Navy game and Prime Rib was packed. Our reservation was honored and the service was very good. Our waiter took very good care of us. We would definitely recommend The Prime Rib and we look forward to a return visit
was very happy with everything for my wife's birthday dinner. My new favorite place.
We had a great experience. Our server was terrific. He made suggestions and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The early menu (until 6 PM ) was a good value with 3 courses for $49. We enjoyed the salmon, prime rib, and chopped steak. Everything was cooked the way we liked. The desserts were delicious! Great atmosphere too.
Horrible service. The waiter needs more education in cocktails. Had never heard of Woodford and placed out cocktails ON OUR DINNER PLATES!
Romantic, fine service, piano player, classic menu with very delicious food
Our favorite steak house in the city, The Prime Rib pays homage to posh restaurants of 50years ago. We love the atmosphere. And the beef is tops. We have celebrated here many times over the years.
Excellent as always.Staff can't do enough for you. Only problem was we realized after the fact that the piano player was going to play and we were seated right next to it but he toned in down fortunately. Great evening with family
Wonderful dining experience! Food is always good, and the service is impeccable!
Good food and impeccable service -- a high quality traditional steakhouse.
We were there for Thanksgiving and one table chose to sing loudly and off-key with the piano player -- made the ambiance challenging.
It was Thanksgiving Day. Service was done well, if not a little strained. Food quality was the same. My husband had the Thanksgiving menu and said it was good. I had sea bass, potato skins, corn after my Caesar salad. I liked it.
We celebrated out first month of marriage and my husband's birthday. Everything was delicious and they treated him to a free dessert!
The food was not good. Steaks were fatty, ( we ordered the best). I will not be returning. Of note, is that it was our 25th wedding anniversary which was noted on the record. They didn’t even send over a “cupcake”. It was particularly annoying because they sent things to other tables that were celebrating.
Wonderful ambience with piano music and flowers
High quality food in a steakhouse
And warm , helpful, And friendly service
The service was excellent, but drinks, food, side dishes were below excellent. Weak drinks and skimpy side dish servings. Totally annoyed that you have to go out of restaurant to the rest rooms which was not clean. Most likely won’t return.
I liked it a lot. Meal was excellent. I would eat here again.
Loved the decor and ambiance. Food was average. Service was very good. The hostess basically had sweat pants on with high heals - it was very odd and stood out from all other servers & staff, not necessarily in a good way. Live piano music was nice. Might be more fun with a big crowd.
Always consistently excellent. Luis our waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend the Prime Rib
Always the best in every way and can't wait to return.
Had a wonderful anniversary dinner, great service, wonderful environment and delicious food.
Great atmosphere, group, service, attention, cocktails, excellent food and very good time.
Could not get reservations for a restaurant close to The Kimmel Center (we were going to a concert) so this was 2nd choice...turned out to be perfect! 5:45 reservations so it was very quiet, only a few tables seated in their split level dining room (not so at the bar..packed with happy drinkers). The best crab cakes EVER (and I order them frequently) The only gluten free dessert was sherbet or ice cream...perhaps an addition in a cake or pie would add to the variety.
Excellent service which very few restaurants offer these days. Will return for pre concert again.
Get prime rib as rare as I love it! My wife and I also enjoyed a well-paired merlot for only $40/ bottle. Service and live grand piano lends really enjoyable atmosphere to impress.
We went on Halloween night for the Prime Rib special. The blue cheese salad had a bit too much dressing for my liking, but was very good. The prime rib itself was awesome, as it usually is. The grilled asparagus with holandaise was a nice addition. The piano player on this night sounded a bit “tired” - as best I can describe it. But, as always, the food and service was excellent.
We have dined here several times and receive regular offers and encouragement to return via email. We were enticed to return with an off for the Signature 15 oz.Prime Rib. Two plates arrived, one nearly perfect. The other was a bit too rare for "medium-rare" and upon trying to cut, my wife found the serving unacceptably tough and chewy. It was returned to the kitchen without fuss and the replacement was fine. Otherwise the meal was excellent- especially the 2 sides, grilled asparagus and Brussel sprouts. Very unique preparation of the potato skins appetizer. Usually a quantity of potato is left in the skin and is covered with some toppings. These are nearly stripped to the skin and baked/broiled to a crispy texture, served bare with sour cream and creamy horseradish on the side. Service was excellent, seating near the piano (as requested in the reservation), bar drinks well made. All in all a lovely night.
The service and food was very good. Highly recommend the crab cakes and the prime rib. The mashed potatoes are also quite good.
It was a pleasant birthday surprise we had a table of 4...great food and drinks and friendly staff
5 stars for dealing with BJ and because Joe got to eat for free because BJ stabbed him in the arm and BJ only took one bite and paid the most
A very attractive and comfortable upscale restaurant. Lots of dark wood on walls, with brass accents, crisp white table clothes and excellent food. We found the prices a little high, even for a steak house restaurant. And I'm comparing them to NYC establishments. Dinner for 2, with salads, 1 appetizer ,a side of creamed spinach and bottle of wine came to about $300 without potato dessert or coffee.
The service was very professional, and friendly at the same time. The escargot was incredibly
delicious and tender with an incredible garlic butter sauce. The large prime rib that we shared
was very good.
The ambiance made for a very delightful 44th anniversary celebration for myself and my
Prime Rib returns you to a quiet, kinder time! Nightclub feel, lovely wines, delicious food and delicious desserts!
