Nice place to eat. Very quiet and cozy both we got. The waiter was there to make sure if you needed anything at all times. We have eaten here before and like it . It's a little pricey for what I'm used too. But the meal makes up for it. We had no wait and was seated right away.
Prime rib was OK. Shrimp cocktail was dry and rubbery. So was my wife's Tenderloin. We shared her crab cakes and we're both very I'll the next day
Our friends from Southern California were here for a visit. We live in Reno. It was New Years Eve and my birthday. We were a few minutes late because of parking problems but we were seated immediately at a lovely table. We were so impressed that there was a regular menu to chose from. We thought that our waitress was wonderful. We never felt rushed even on an evening where everyone wants to eat out.
Dinner on New Years Eve was very good. Good service. Good food.Salad bar was just ok. Have never seen a salad bar in a upscale restaurant.Would go back there again.
Great salad bar included with meal. Prime rib was tender and tasty. Baked potato was huge.
We live in Reno and have eaten at the Grill many times usually going to a venue afterword. Food and service always excellent.
Made our reservations with Open Table which is easy to do. When the reservation is made you receive a e-mail confirmation which is great. When we arrived we wee greeted and taken to our table. Libby our waitress was very attentive and prompt. They had a very good selection at the Salad bar and the Lobster Bisque was excellent. Our Prime Rib dinners were also very good. I would recommend the Eldorado Prime Rib Grill.
Salad bar was excellent but the dinners were over cooked. One meal was sent back and the replacement meal was just as bad. The half chicken looked more like half a Cornish game hen than a chicken.
Very sorry to hear that this restaurant is closing after this month (December 2016).
Went there for my 60th Birthday Dinner. It was absolutely the worst service you could imagine. If I didn't know any better I would have thought we were invisible. We got seated and was served water and bread, then we sat there for 20 minutes before I finally got up and tracked down the manager to complain. He ended up taking our order. When my wife got her steak, ordered medium rare, it was still mooing! WAY RARE! Had to send it back. Instead if giving her a new steak they just reheated the one they initially brought to the table. I didn't even know who my waiter was because we never really had one person waiting on us. For the first time in many many, years, I left no tip on the table. I will never eat there again.
We had tickets to the show and told the waiter and hostess. Our reservation was for 5:00pm with a 7:00 show time. The restaurant was full and the waiter was extremely slow. We waited for quite awhile for our drink orders to be taken. I think they thought we wouldn't realize how long it was taking because of the salad bar but we realized that there was a problem and told our waiter we had les than 15 minutes before we would have to leave. We had the mushroom ravioli for an appetizer but it came and the pasta wasn't cooked all the way. This was the first time I left it on the plate. When our food arrived, we asked for boxes since there was no time to eat. It was ridiculous. The Eldorado gives you 50% off of your dinner if you eat there when buying a show ticket, yet they are completely unable to handle a full restaurant. The waiter said they were closing the restaurant in a week. It is just too bad they didn't close it a couple of weeks ago. The failure on service that happened last weekend reflects on customer service in all Eldorado restaurants.
Great Steaks...we had the Filet Mignon cooked medium to perfection and Prime Rib cooked rare to perfection as well. Dinners come with a trip to the salad and soup bar. The salad bar was disappointing and was just your standard items you can find at any Round Table Pizza salad bar. Coffee and dessert were great...we had the cheesecake...super yummy. Next time in Reno we will definately go back...
Great meal as has been for the last 18 years but is JUST expensive enough now to look other places. $90 with tip for two with one beer each is pushing it
One of the best Prime Rib I have ever had. Very nice and clean. The service was unbeatable. We had a table for 12 and everyone had a great time and all the food ordered was great.
Pretty good food though the spinach in the salad bar could have used some attention. I'm not a fan of salad bars in general and this one was the typical tired assortment. It also appeared as if they had pulled a few salads (potato, mac etc) off the buffet line in another restaurant and added them to this one. The blue cheese dressing, however, was delicious!!
Our table was in a bright busy corner and next time I'd request to be seated further back inside. There were certainly plenty of empty tables back there where there would have been no traffic pouring by. The space is oddly broken up.
Still we'd probably go back, the food was fine in a casual environment that is a step up from the typical casino buffets.
Can't really review since the restaurant was closed! They changed their hours without notifying those with reservations! Your email confirmation that morning was inaccurate. Luckily the Roxy accepted the reservation and we had an exceptional meal.
I sat at the bar. The bartender Jordan was very helpful and friendly. My first course consist of the Meiomi Pinot Noir and Wild River salad. The salad was fresh greens with sprinkles of cheese and crushed nuts. Just what I was looking for. For my second course, they had good choice of meat, but I was checking out the trout. The only part I was not sure is why it had two staples, couscous and quinoa. Jordan described the special of the day, the sole. I took the sole with a glass of Zinfandal. The sole is a thin fish, but the chef made it wrapping with tender green inside. It was impressive. The zuchinni and red bell pepper was nicely cooked to accompany the fish. They all sit on a layer of resotto. The flavor of the 4 things make the plate really enjoyable.
the food was very good. We had a reservation for 13 at 7:30. We arrived at 7:20 and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. our waiter came to the table 10 minutes later to take our drink order. we had to wait at least 40 minutes for this same waiter to return to our table to take our order. two other parties were seated after ours and their orders were taken and served before us. Our food wasn't served until a few minutes after 9 p.m. .I was not informed that there was and automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill until after the bill was presented to me. I don't mind paying $67 as a tip to our server if earned it which he certainly did not in this instance.we ran a very successful restaurant in Reno for 43 years( Louis Basque Corner) and the gentlemen who was our server wouldn't have been employed there any longer after Thursday evenings experience with us.
thanksgiving diner was excellent very good salad bar and food cooked to perfection and excellent service to boot
I've always enjoyed the Prime Rib Grill and have always had the Prime Rib. Maybe because it was Thanksgiving but I didn't care much for it. Ordered medium rare and got well done. The others that had the Prime Rib were also disappointed. The one that had the turkey said it was delicious.
