Always a great choice for dinner and great service.
The prime rib meal is to die for. Loved the ambiance
The Prime Rib is quintessential old-school dining. The place has not changed in several decades and that’s a good thing. The food is always delicious, the cocktails always well-prepared and the wait staff always friendly and attentive.
What a great evening at the Prime Rib to celebrate a birthday. EVERYTHING was just spectacular, including our waiter, Edward, the food, wine and drinks, table seating, ambiance ; it was such a pleasant evening!
I Oman in returning sooner rather than later.
My thanks to the staff at the Prime Rib!
Took my wife here for her birthday. WAS PERFECT. manager was great, mark our bar tender perfect. The PERFECT spot for dining and special occasions. A Baltimore wonderland restaurant.
This was a double celebration—birthday and anniversary, and The Prime Rib did not disappoint. The food was excellent; the trio, as always, setting the pace; the service timely and attentive. We loved all of it, and were even treated to a saxophone serenade!
Had been here once before. Consider myself a prime rib junkie. Signature cut is generous, flavorful. Ordered mine medium rare. Was more like medium well. First time i ordered mine rare and it was excellent. I should have done the same but this time it was definitely not medium rare. They have a couple of specials but most items are ala carte. It is a little pricey like any high end steakhouse.
Bob made our night perfect. No rush to enjoy great wine and excellent food.
The piano makes for good ambiance. The food was good, but service was lacking. We never even received bread like everyone else around us. Given prices and service, there are better places to go for the money where service is a priority.
I loved the restaurant's ambiance, the most and the food was very tasty. In my opinion, this would be an excellent restaurant for an impressive date or celebration of a wedding anniversary.
The service was impeccable!
This was the best overall fine dining experiences I have enjoyed in years. The service was top notch, and our prime rib & seabass dinners were incredible.
Outstanding food and ambience as always. Great and professional service.
Very disappointing experience. Have been customers for 40 years. Probably won't go back. Food was not hot. Service was mediocre. Special occasion not very special.
Great waiter, excellent food, overall very lovely dinner
The Prime Rib Never Fails to Deliver!
We took our son for his 21st birthday and, as usual, the service was impeccable and the food was superb. Yes, it's pricey, but you get what you pay for! The ambiance is wonderful; piano as background is soothing. It's rated one of Baltimore's Best for a reason.
Excellent Service from our server Erin. The food is always good! We truly enjoy the live pianist during the week, and Live Jazz on Friday evenings.
So, I have not been to the Prime Rib for 2-3 years now...what a mistake! The last time i went, i got the prime rib, and it was just ok. I often got the sea bass which was always great. I am glad we went back! Everything, I mean everything, was fantastic! Yes, it is a bit pricey, though worth every penny! The caesar salad, the potato skins, sea bass, Chopped steak, prime rib, bone in rib eye, all just amazing! and yes, i tasted everything!! The desserts, choc mousse pie and cheesecake, were equally delicious. While it is an old time Baltimore staple, the food and service were as good as any in Baltimore. I rank it up there with Charleston and Linwoods, in my opinion, a top 5 in Baltimore, maybe top 3!
The entire experience was excellent! The food was fantastic, the service spot-on. When ever I go there I know that I will walk away well satisfied.
I love the Prime Rib. The food is outstanding, the service is impeccable, the quasi-retro atmosphere is exactly what you want from a steakhouse. (Well, it's what I want, at least.) It is expensive - dinner for two with 5 cocktails (total) was over $300 including tip - but it's worth it, and it's not way out of line with its direct competitors (Morton's, Ruth's Chris, Flemings, Capital Grille), all of which - while good - lack the certain something that the PR has.
Good to see that the "full cut" prime rib is back on the menu. Although it has always been available, they took it off the menu for some wrongheaded reason for a while. Prime rib is your specialty - own it! It's back, where it belongs. And I ordered it! (See attached picture.)
All the food was exceptional, the prime rib especially - but I'd be remiss to not mention the cheesecake. Served with strawberries and whipped cream, it was one of the best I've ever had.
We don't get there very often - only once or twice per year - but it's never been a disappointment.
Average and over rated. Capital Grille next time!
Wonderful but rushed. Staff more interested in going home than serving properly.
The service was excellent the food was great plated very well the music really set the mood
Great place!
We had a great time, food was delicious (we have always gotten the prime rib) and fantastic live music would recommend for a date or celebration.
Birthday celebration
Great Food/ Great Service/ Wonderful Dining Experience
As Always
Still one of the finest restaurants in the country.
For a special occasion, I recommend The Prime Rib. My husband had the 30 oz. prime rib, but he did not finish it. I enjoyed the Fillet Oscar which had crab meat on top. The staff was very friendly.
I choose this restaurant based on the reviews and it did not disappoint! The ambiance, the service and the food was exceptional. There was live music and it really elevated the experience it added to the old supper club feel. When making the reservation I did specify that it was a birthday celebration, however we forgot to mention it to our server in our hustle and bustle. Low and behold after asking for the dessert menu our server presented an amazing desert w/ candle and song I was actually surprised and very happy they remembered. If i had to nit pick at anything it would be the low lighting in the dining room so even w/ the camera flash it made sharing the experience difficult.
I came to The Prime Rib with a party of 5 on a Friday night. There was complimentary valet and coat check. We were seated in a quiet back corner of the restaurant. The bar was very lively with lots of people and a live band. Our waiter, Aaron Day, was very tentative and one of the highlights of the evening. I recommend requesting him if you book a reservation. You will not be disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious. All of the menu options can be shared between two people, however, we did not share!! It was all so good! To start we ordered the lobster bisque, shrimp cocktail, crab cake, and buzz's salad. For dinner we had the double breast of chicken, swordfish, filet with imperial crab on top, and crab cake dinner. For dessert we ordered the apple pie, cheesecake with fresh strawberries, and the chocolate mouse pie. Everything was absolutely delicious!!!
As always, never disappoints! Great food—a really special place. Our go-to place for special occasions.
The Oysters Chesapeake were outstanding! The salads were on point. The Prime Rib (my order) was perfect and my guest loved the Prime Rib steak Oscar-style. The Jazz music was a bit loud. Other than that, a beautiful location and excellent service!
We celebrated a birthday and the service was amazing.
Wonderful atmosphere, great food and outstanding service. Loved the pianist too.
Fabulous supper club feel with great food live music piano and bass
Been going to the PR for over 30 years. Always super but prices are getting outlandish.
Great service, excellent food, good drinks and a wonderful piano player
ALWAYS get a superb meal at the Prime Rib.
If parking inside the garage is required, the elevator should be offered to seniors. A VERY long and arduous walk for them.
I find The Prime Rib to be the finest restaurant in Baltimore
