Predicable excellent "New York" vibe steak and beef place, with requisite elegance, music (some nights) and escargot/martinis

The Crab Imperial and tomato soup were outstanding. Mr. Bob was our waiter and his service was excellent. The special cut of Prime Rib was OK but not as good as I had hoped. I solicited the opinion of a gentleman at an adjoining table as to what he thought of his prime rib (his was served about 20 minutes later). He felt the same. The Key lime pie and chocolate mouse pie were both very good.

This place was incredible. The valet put my car IN A GARAGE! How cool is that!? The food was incredible and our waiter was so attentive and personable, he even put a candle in my dessert for me when he learned it was my birthday. I would definitely dine there again. It was an incredible experience.

Everything as close to perfection as any
restaurant I have ever had dinner.
And I am a “foodie” and 76 years old.

Great restaurant! My husband and I have been to Prime Rib 5 times now. We love the ambiance, the musical selection and The free valet. The prices are ridiculously expensive, but the food is phenomenal.

My experience was just ok. I think the seating was inadequate and quite intrusive. It was very tight. Every time someone walked passed I had to adjust my body so that I wouldn’t be brushed up against. The Prime Rib and the Lamb chops were perfected and very flavorful. The sides on the other hand were less desirable. The nutmeg in the creamed spinach,(not so much). The ambiance with the live jazz was ok.I would definitely go back if better seating were available and maybe try something else with a different choice of sides. The service was definitely great but The best part was that I was able to enjoy a nice Birthday dinner with a very good friend.

Great as always. The best place in Baltimore for a nice romantic dinner. My only slight negative was for restaurant week they upcharged the prime rib and claimed it was 14 oz (no way). My wife had the fillet which they said was 8 oz (again no way). However it was top quality all around and excellent food, sides and dessert.

Everything was perfect up until I paid the bill.

After my bill was paid for, the waiter apparently left for a smoke break. When he came back for my signed receipt, he reeked of weed. Almost had a perfect experience.

Truly wonderful! We were lucky enough to take advantage of Restaurant Week. So, for $35 we enjoyed a great salad, delicious filet mignon (my husband had a superb crab imperial), sides of creamed spinach and mashed potatoes as well as incredible dessert choices. Of course, we added the Greenberg potato skins. A fantastic meal in an exquisite environment.

A friend and I went for Restaurant Week. I love Prime Rib but normally too expensive to go other than a special occasion. So I love that they participate in Baltimore Restaurant Week. The food is excellent. The atmosphere /ambiance is amazing. The service is top notch.

If you want to mix it up with the last dying breath of wealth in Baltimore. This is the place.

Skip the salads, they’re not up to par with the quality that comes from San Francisco’s equivalent restaurant. Get the shrimp cocktail, get the prime rib. If you still have room, the Creme Brûlée is exceptional.

Well, it was just "ok". We were a table of five there to celebrate my son's 19th birthday.

First, the good...the waiter was very professional, the menu selection good (think supper club type fare - steaks, hearty sides, luscious desserts). Expensive, yes, but not terribly so.

Now, the not-so-good...the place was freezing! The waiter explained as soon as we were seated that they were having a "heating problem". There was one lowly space heater for the entire back room (and it was on its last legs). I'm talking so cold it was hard to concentrate. Next, we were all packed in like sardines. While I do appreciate a convivial atmosphere, this was over the top. I felt sorry for the couple that was placed at a tiny table at the very back of the room...the first couple got up and left, the second couple just looked miserable.

The food was good, not great, not bad, just, well, good, served in a timely and well-orchestrated fashion. Sadly, although I had alerted the staff ahead of time we were celebrating a birthday, they didn't remember until we'd ordered desserts and they'd been served when the waiter came out with this tiny square of cheesecake with a candle and apologized for the oversight. In all fairness, they did comp my son's dessert for the mistake.

While it wasn't the worst, it certainly wasn't the best, and overall not a memorable place. In its heyday, The Prime Rib was THE PLACE to go! Sadly, I don't think so anymore. What a shame.

P.S. We couldn't wait to get out other there to thaw out!

This was a wonderful experience for my wife's recent birthday and a bit nostalgic for her as she lived in an apartment in the tower above The Prime Rib many years ago and would occasionally stop in for a drink. She ordered her classic Shrimp Cocktail and Prime Rib and was delighted. She was also impressed at the complimentary birthday dessert. As the meal wound to a lovely conclusion, we agreed that it had been far too long since we'd enjoyed The Prime Rib and that for steakhouse special occasion dinners, The Prime Rib is the place we should be dining. Looking forward to enjoying their hospitality again soon!!

Because of having to make a last-minute reservation, we had dinner super early on New Year's Eve. The full menu was available, no prix fixe for them. The oysters on the half shell, lobster bisque, and the prime rib were both terrific. My husband likes his meat rarer than I do and they came out just the way we like. Nathan, our server, was personable yet professional. The meal was timed correctly. It's not an adventuresome menu but everything is done perfectly.

My only quibble is that for a special occasion such as New Years Eve, at a special restaurant such as the Prime Rib, I wish there were some standards of dress that were enforced. There were diners in short sleeves and baseball caps. They weren't loud or obnoxious but it somehow takes away from the ambiance.

We were greeted immediately as we have come to expect. seated promptly and asked if we needed any drinks and were left to converse for a while before being asked about food which was very nice. Overall the evening was fantastic. Nothing to do with the meal but the room temp was rather chilly

Very disappointed with table location, service and food
There are many outstanding restaurants in Baltimore that provide excellent service .
This was our first visit and the ambiance was very nice however waiter not attentive and somewhat aloof. Their specialty is Prime Rib ...2 out of 5 orders were not prepared as requested and very tough.
I have my own business and a very important factor that I stress.... Is attention to detail .
Lacking in this restaurant.

I’ve been spoiled by to many year of Padro. The server left empty glass on the table even after being asked to take them away.....maybe I’m expecting too much and maybe it’s being petty but it’s not like the restaurant was filled for the 8 pm seating. Needless to say I’m still looking for the next Padro
