The service was absolutely horrible. The steak and prime rib were good, but the sides, cocktails, and apple pie desert was soooooo bad!!!

Simply sublime. The PR continues to deliver one of the most unique and compelling dining experiences in the region. Some no doubt would say it is old school, and I would not argue the point, but I would add that the Prime Rib practices an art that is largely lost in time and missing in modern culinary efforts. The components of the experience — from the live piano with classic scores, to the cozy bar scene, to the devine food (and yes, the seafood offerings are as good as the incomparable steaks)(and do start with the Greenberg potatoes), to the impeccably professional staff (shout out to Aaron, who will regale you with the latest health and stock tips), to the classic and romantic ambiance, and even the easy parking below in the building — combine to make an evening at the PR most enjoyable. It never disappoints.

Overall experience was very good......somewhat expensive. Restaurant was notified in advance that it was our 44th anniversary, but not acknowledged -----free glass of wine or dessert would have been nice.

My wife and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner! She had the prime rib and I had the New York strip au poivre. Both medium rate done perfectly . Hers came with the best horse radish sauce. Mine had additional pepper sauce. The broccoli rabe was excellent. The bread was especially good. The creme brûlée fantastic. The service. Impeccable!

The Prime Rib is hands down the best restaurant in Baltimore. The service is spectacular, and every food and beverage detail exceeds expectations. I'm happy to have a restaurant of this caliber in my city. Ps. wish they would go back to dress code, it was definitely a more "special Occasion" feel when everybody was in a suit and tie.

Professional service & good food. It's a bit pricey and the tables are way too tight. You almost feel like you're sitting with the people next to you.

My only complaint is I asked for my Prime Rib Medium Rare. It came out between Medium & Medium Well. I didn't send it back because we were with another couple and I don't like to hold up a group. It was good but cooked more than I like and for the price charged, it should have been correct.

The Prime Rib has never disappointed.
Some people frequent often and for those looking for that special occasion, it's a great choice.
There are several "steak houses" in Baltimore. But...
The Prime Rib is a great restaurant, that serves outstanding beef.

I was unfortunately disappointed with my latest experience at the Prime Rib. I have been to this restaurant many times before and have always had a good meal and for the most part good service. This time however, I was disappointed. I ordered the swordfish special after being told that the swordfish was at least a 2 inch thick cut. I was shocked when I received a small portion that at best was 1/2 inch thick. The other person in my party ordered the lamb chops. Although they provided her with at least 8 of them; each of them was no more than a nickel in size and they were all overdone. I also did not receive the caesar salad that I ordered. Fortunately they also forgot to charge me for it. For a Saturday night the crowd which is normally active and vibrant was missing from the restaurant and it was disappointing that on such a cold night that I had to walk outside 3 times to get my car from the valet.

We went here for the last night of Restaurant Week. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. The restaurant was noisier and more crowded than usual because of restaurant week, but that was expected. Our meal was still flawless, regardless.

Once again, Prime Rib comes through on restaurant week. Some high end restaurants - which PR certainly is - either dumb down their menue - chicken, milk and cookies - or look down on restaurant week patrons. Not here - we were treated well, and treated to a very nice meal.

What an absolutely delightful time we had last night at The Prime Rib. Dan, our server, was welcoming and friendly. Dan’s attention to every detail to make our dining experience pleasant was nothing short of amazing. We decided on the Restaurant Week Menu – 3 courses for $35.00. We all started with salads that were crisp, fresh and perfectly dressed. Three of us had the prime rib special and one enjoyed the tenderloin. The beef was tender and succulent. We all had different desserts – two chocolate mousses, one key lime pie and one crème Brulee – all delicious. What was really special is that Dan brought me an additional dessert to celebrate my birthday – a very kind and thoughtful gesture from the restaurant. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of Maccari Saia Nero d’ Avola wine that was 1/2 price – a very tasty, full-bodied red. Thank you so much for participating in Restaurant Week.

I have been to the Prime Rib on many occasions, this was Restaurant week and I think it was a little under staffed. the food was good as usual, I tried something that I had not taste there before, which was the imperial crab, it was delicious. I think we were cheated out of some sides, but I didn't say anything. The menu said 2 sides with your meal for the $35 and two people had the RWM so we should have gotten 4 sides. Chris was our waiter who usually does an excellent job, but like I said it was very crowded. Chris brought our check I gave him cash of $140, and a credit card which he was told to take off $100, Chris brought the check and the money back and said to recount the cash because if he was to keep the change as I said do, then there was a mistake because he thought he deserved a bigger tip then $10, and I thought he did too. I made the mistake, I thought I had given him $160. I think that was rude and embarassing.
Where does it say that I have to tip you at all, although I would never do that, but it was the principle. There are some people who never tip and will fuss you out if you ask. Anyway, when the receipt was brought back, the entire amount of the check was charged on the young lady card, so we told him, and he took it back, the receipt was presented again, this time charged $130, so we had to take it back again to charge it correctly for $100. Yes I will visit again, but I just could not believe the nerve of someone telling a customer to recount their money , because he did not have enough tip, and deserved more, when in reality the other parties didn't think he did.
Good Luck Chris on getting the tips you really want.

Definitely would believe it if I was told that this location was the inspiration for the prime steakhouse at maryland Live. Checkerboard tile floors, a large piano with a perfectly chosen live music duo, everyone well dressed, and a high class appearance overall if entering from the main entrance. Do not enter from the garage or you’ll have the opposite experience. Expect black chairs black colored walls and an overall old-fashioned theme to the place, perfect for a date. however, value for the money is just not there in my opinion. Would consider other find steakhouses in Baltimore such as the capital Grille or other fine restaurants such as Tagliata, Cinghiale, Ouzo Bay, and the black olive for finer food.

Very nice restaurant. Very good food. My only suggestions are half the time all you hear is conversation. Live music plays softly for very short periods. It would be nice for the live music to play longer or other music to play softly. It would also be nice if the tables weren't so close together.

We went for restaurant week so not only did we get a perfect meal, we got it at a great price. Every dish was delicious. The imperial crab, filet mignon, prime rib, creamed spinach, key lime pie-all wonderful. And our waiter, Chris, was just right. Very nice, yet not intrusive. And of course, right on point. Makes you want to go back as often as you can afford it!
