We had a 5-Star Evening across the board. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Also, ask for George as you server.

Food was excellent, service was outstanding, you don't have to worry about parking, the only thing I didn't care for was the waiter keep coming back to table after I paid my bill, me & Frieda was having a great conversation I felt like we were being rush out.

Annual family event at the Prime Rib. It’s nice to put on a coat and tie; eat good beef and enjoy great service.

The Prime Rib Baltimore is the original location of this excellent restaurant.
A classic American steakhouse, featuring fine food, polished professional service, and the comfortable cozy amenities of traditional old school chic. The white table cloths, tasteful art, live jazz piano bar, are all throwbacks so quintessentially retro that they are still just right when looking for a trip to yesteryear with modern sensibilities. Classic cocktails and some new interpretations from the bar. Tuesday night access to the Sunday Brunch wine discounts was nice. The amazing "Greenberg Potato Skins" wowed all of us like usual, and dazzled my 14 yr old's first trip to this Baltimore institution. Tenderloin Oscar perfect, Rack of Lamb perfect, potatoes au gratin sinful and well balanced. Bread pudding over the top, apple pie a la mode a delight with just the right mix of firm fresh filling and flaky crust. Service was polite, friendly, and professional, every need fulfilled and anticipated with a home town vibe citing The O's and Charm City celebs. A 5:00 reservation was carefully managed by the staff to allow us the full experience and still get to the theater in plenty of time for a 7:30 curtain. Not a single misstep marred the intended experience in the least. My son's first Prime Rib adventure was classic, delicious, and seamless. This is why year after year, decade to decade, The Prime Rib delivers precisely the experience they promise. We will be back, again, and again. Bravo!

We're back at The Prime Rib. The Prime Rib is definitely the best steak restaurant in Baltimore. Possibly the region. I eat out in steak houses for business often. And the dated decor (not tired, just old fashioned) has led me to try Morton's, Ruth's Chris, Flemings, and The Capitol Grill. I've got to tell you, none of them even come close in quality to The Prime Rib. The food is fantastic. The service is excellent, and after trying the newer competition, the decor feels a little bit more classic than dated. They have a piano player in the bar, excellent oysters, and probably the best steaks on the east coast.

Perfect evening in all ways: food, ambience, Bob’s excellent service, and Charlie’s superb jazz piano. If I could afford to dine here every week, I would. Nothing else in Baltimore even comes close.

The Prime Rib has a great, luxurious atmosphere. It's a very romantic place to take someone on a date. However, for the high prices, you would expect the food and service to be amazing. Unfortunately we did not find this to be the case. The prime rib steak was OK. The steak was huge, but the flavor was underwhelming. The waiter recommended the stuffed flounder, so I ordered that and unfortunately it was unpleasant to eat...the fish tasted like it was old. I was unable to finish it.

Great food online wine list needs to be updated as a wine online was not available on the menu. Wait staff were friendly but too friendly and at times were obstructive to the table conversation

Continued excellence after all of these years. Not having valet service at the main entrance is problematic.Wandering up stairwells and through the apartment lobby doesn't make an impression equal to the restaurant.

We've been in the Baltimore area since June 2017. We wanted to celebrate our 7th Wedding Anniversary in a special place. Seeing how Thanksgiving was a few days ago....we had steak in mind, at least I did. Anyways, the ambiance of the place is just right for a small gathering or a few people from the office. We were extremely blessed to have Mr. Aaron serve us. During conversation, we discovered he's been working here for 44 years! Literally a walking encyclopedia about the history of Baltimore. Even more....the famous people he had the opportunity of meeting. Having met Aaron here The Prime Rib made our evening just that more special!

Prime Rib has always been one of the prime spots for dinner. The last couple of times I have been there- not so much. So it was at Thanksgiving. Granted one should not judge a restaurant by a busy holiday experience but still they were open and serving. The Greenburg potatoes were fabulous as always. Salads and dressing were very ordinary. Prime Rib is not known for creative cooking but for top quality ingredients prepared luxuriously. The oysters were big but lacked any briny flavor. The Chilean sea bass was beautifully grilled and was delicious. Like the oysters, the rare prime rib looked gorgeous, but was not flavorful and would have benefited from a horseradish sauce of some kind. The ribs were good, but again not rocking in flavor. The restaurant was very crowed. Tables snuggled very close together. Conversations were not private. Service was either too fast or then way too slow. If a restaurant is going to be open on a holiday, it needs to either learn to manage the crowd or take fewer reservations.

For food, service and the ultimate in satisfaction, you cannot beat the Prime Rib Room. It is what all other steakhouses aspire to become. The largest and most delicious oysters (this weekend they were local from Grasonville) - the finest cut of prime rib, wonderful fish and seafood as well. Oh and the hot fudge sundae is the perfect finish!

My husband and I were there to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Our table was not the best, but we were fine with it. We go to the Prime rib at least twice per year every year, but this time was disappointing. The food was on point, as usual. However, the service was not great this time, which was very surprising. We were often made to feel hurried or not as important as the larger parties in our servers section. He was not particularly friendly or talkative, and barely gave a half smile our way. I was also greatly saddened to see that there is no longer a dress code that is adhered to. People wearing jeans and wrinkled polo shirts ruins the overall experience of the restaurant in my opinion.

Everything was exceptional as would be expected with The Prime Rib; however, my wife and I somehow got the worst table in the entire restaurant. We were nudged in next to a server's station with no room behind my chair. I got bumped about 10 times during dinner and the food trays were flying right over my head. We will go back but will certainly ask for a different table.

Not so special occasion. I thought this was the highest-rated steakhouse in Baltimore. I think not. Perfunctory service, like attending a packed banquet. Standard steakhouse fare, jammed into a tight table for two in overflow dining room while all the fun was next door in the bar. Large noisy table of drunks at arm’s length. Steak chewy. All but impossible to get waiter’s attention for another glass of wine. Oh well...

For appetizers, we had the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and Oysters Rockefeller and they both were excellent.

The entrees were mixed. My husband liked his Steak au Poivre. My Signature Cut of Roast Prime Rib was not as good as it used to be. The steak was not tender and lacked flavor. It was almost bland! I was disappointed! The Grilled Asparagus was good and my husband liked the Potato Skins more than I.

The restaurant knew that we were celebrating my birthday so the waiter brought us a Chocolate Mousse Pie with a candle on it. That was sweet! I didn't like chocolate so I ordered the Key Lime pie and my husband ordered a cup of cappuccino.

But, the killer was, we just had a bite of the pie and my husband was still stirring his cappuccino when the waiter placed a check on the table and thanked us for coming.

I was stunned! Really? I felt like they wanted to rush us out of there. We haven't even finished our meal! I was deeply disappointed! I expect more from high-end restaurants like the Prime Rib. I haven't been here in a while and really looked forward to a nice birthday dinner but I left with disappointment. I know the Prime Rib had lowered the dress code but I wondered, had they also lowered the service, too?

Great drinks at bar, great service, seated at reserved time, top of the line Rockefeller oysters and bread. However what should have been the best was the prime rib and wasn't. The outside which is usually tasty and tender was so tough it could not be chewed for both of us. Never happened before so I don't know what the issue was, and like a fool I never said anything until leaving.
