The Pressroom Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
WOW ! We enjoyed Sunday Brunch at the Pressroom before the show at the Fulton Theatre. Everything exceeded our expectations ! We were greeted by the hostess and shown to a very comfortable booth. Our server introduced herself and took our drink orders after sharing the daily specials. Even though it was very busy, the noise level was medium. The food arrived after a medium wait-time and was delicious. It had been awhile since we'd been at the Pressroom but we will definitely return more frequently after this nice experience.
We were going to the Fulton Matinee & were able to enjoy a great lunch in a timely manner w/o feeling rushed. It must have been awhile since I had been there since one of my favorite desserts was no longer available.... but that did not stop us from having desert. Thanks!
We went there for Jazz night. It was wonderful. Please keep it going!
I ordered the burger and asked for medium. It was cooked well done. The waiter was wonderful. Very attentive!
I wish there was a way to be able to watch the musicians. They are kind of hidden up front. Otherwise great night was had by all.
The occasion for this Sunday lunch was to celebrate my mom and my grandmother's birthdays. We were seated on time and promptly had our drink orders taken. We ordered food shortly after and it came within 20 minutes of the order being placed. The downfall of the meal was when a large group of around 10, with 3 young children was sat directly next to us. There wasn't enough space to accommodate their group and they were crowding us out of our space for the remainder of the meal. Conversation became strained because of their loud talking. Some of their group showed up after the initial wave of people because it was a surprise but instead of going to greet them at the door they began shouting as they walked in which was of course disruptive.
Most of the restaurant was unoccupied as we were there within the first open hour on Sunday between 10:30 and 11:30. It seemed unnecessary to seat them in such close proximity to us. The rest of our meal was loud and rushed because it seemed like our sever wanted us to leave to move another table over to be able to seat everyone in their party. We were not even offered a dessert menu or after meal coffee or tea. The food was good but this wasn't quite the experience I was hoping for to celebrate.
Always thought it was like an “old” restaurant. Not at all. High backed booths that felt private for sharing good conversation for a group of four. Drinks were great - bar compares with John Jeffries. Entrees and appetizers equally delicious. Will definitely recommend and return.
Six of us met there before a play. Menu was inresesting and a little different from the norm. Our waitress was very helpful with our menu selections. My cod with clams and b and was different and exceptional. Dinner progressed at a nice pace. All liked their entrees and we made it to the theater on time. An enjoyable experience.
Our party of 6 dined at the Pressroom before opening night at the Fulton Theatre. Our experience was great from the hostess who took our coats and seated us, to our wonderful server. Our dinners were prepared in a reasonable time, and were very good. We loved our table and felt we could have good conversation and not be overheard.
Perfect pre-theater dinner date! The menu is diverse and the quality is excellent! Ambiance is just right....lively but you can talk! The Pressroom validates your parking garage ticket, so parking is free for the night! They also offer a theatre discount which was a complete surprise. Dessert was amazing! Highly recommend the Pressroom! You’ll love it!
This is the worst restaurant I have been to in my entire life. The food is average and overpriced. My salad was soggy, chicken was dry. Burgers were strange too, they put marmalade on the burger.
But the service is the worst. We had 4 reservations for lunch and called the restaurant two hours ahead (before they opened) and asked to sit us close together, as we had group of kids and parents and wanted to celebrate a birthday. They did the exact opposite. They sat us in 3 different corners of the restaurant while there were plenty of empty seats. When we asked for an extra table (which was empty next to us) they refused to give it to us even though the restaurant was half empty. We asked for an extra chair, and they said absolutely not, while there was plenty of extra chairs standing by the wall and all over the restaurant. The host/waiter (Skyler) and his manager were extremely rude. They were making a big scene, make Ng inappropriate remarks. People like them should not be working in service. We had the most unpleasant experience and will never be back there. I would not recomend this place if you come with a big group, expect good service or decent food.
We had a wonderful time! Food and drinks were great, service was wonderful. However, we were at dinner with our friends and we were seated close to the bar and it got really loud. So loud we couldn't quite hear each other by the end of our dinner. In the future for a dinner reservation, we will ask to sit in the back of the restaurant. Just a suggestion for anyone looking to dine with friends.
We dine here occasionally. Normally we have excellent service. This evening our service was poor. The server seemed like she would rather be somewhere else. Entrees took longer than normal. When I ordered my ceasar salad I specifically asked for pepper since there was none at the table. Salad arrived but I had to get her attention for pepper than had eaten half the salad before it arrived. The skirt steak and duck entrees were excellent. The shrimp on my salad was lukewarm. Hopefully by our next visit issues are resolved.
