The food and service were great. The noise level, however, was uncomfortably loud. We will mostly likely not be back on a Saturday night.
Great service, very accommodating good food, very noisy. Our group had five different meals, everyone was happy
We have been to The Pressroom on multiple occasions for multiple reasons- drinks, brunch, dinner, and so on. This was actually the location for mine and my fiance's first date- late night drinks and small plates. We keep coming back because the food and the atmosphere are both great. We enjoy the outside dining area very much. This time we brought our parents with us, and they absolutely loved it as well. They also intend to return in the future. Perfect location, food, and service. They also offer parking vouchers for the garage, which I don't think many places in the area do if I recall correctly.
Excellent food. Thank you to our server, Kirsten, for the wonderful service and food suggestions.
Great food and service! Our waiter Jason was great!
Food tasted great. Server wasn’t that attentative. No follow up after food was delivered.
Vegan Spaghetti was excellent. It was a perfect date night
Great food made with local incredients. Not the usual Lancaster county cuisine. Love that!! Great place if you like a different rev menu. never disappointed.
Beautiful venue. Love the starters & salads!
When the weather is fine, a hightop near the fountain is lovely!
We had excellent service and we loved the outdoor dining. We’ll go back in the winter as the inside was cool as well and we had excellent service from everyone we met.
Perfect after a day of sightseeing and shopping. The cocktails, small plates and entrees were all delicious! I appreciate the use of fresh ingredients from local farms :-)
Shared small plates and cocktails on a rainy first Friday - made for a great date night!
Seated quickly with reservations. Offered no specials with limited menu. Paid $29 for medium sized piece of Fluke fish (summer flounder) which was well prepared. Whole meal served in a bowl. Way too expensive. Meal was served hot, which was good. We sat there the whole time with nothing to eat as bread was brought out with the meal. The bread was terrible almost cake like with a small cup of unseasoned olive oil. Cup was too small to dip bread in. They really have to pay more attention to details. Need a bottle of oil with individual oil holders along with seasoning delivered before meal. Server delivered meal then she never came back until dessert time. Overall a bad experience.
Server was excellent.
Excellent food and service; awesome night! I recommend The Press Room for all my clients that stay at the Marriott downtown and are looking for a great dinner close to the hotel.
We were celebrating my birthday and had reservations. We were seated immediately and were treated to a lovely meal. Their guacamole might be the best ever! My market salad was fresh, but a tad overdressed for me. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his pasta with clams. Always a pleasure to dine at the Press Room!
We only go to Lancaster once a year but we will be sure to make this our annual dinner spot. Fabulous duck fat gravy!!!
This was my first time at the pressroom. I ordered grilled gulf shrimp and tuna carpaccio. The tuna was cut to thin but the sauce was fantastic. My date ordered frisee and apples salad.I ordered the pan-seared fluke. Both dishes did not disappoint. Three dollar sign symbols need put on their site not two.I do recommend if your in downtown Lancaster.
The food was terrific from appetizers to the main course. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. It was a rainy night and the hostess offered to keep our wet umbrellas at the front so we didn't have to deal with them. Nice touh!
Love brunch there! The make your own mimosas and bloodies are great! Also Kevin is the best bartender/waiter😍
The food, service and ambiance were fabulous. Within walking distance from the theatre. Plenty of parking options within a block radius.
As always, The Pressroom delivered -this time celebrating my husbands’s birthday! Chef Daniel has added some great dishes and his specials are hard to resist (so don’t). Adding to the great food are wonderful mixologists and craft cocktails along with a great staff and management. Our only complaint is that despite the beautiful remodel, they still have issues managing sound so it can be a bit loud. However, don’t let that keep you away, it is always a great meal!
This was my family's first time at The Pressroom. Our pre-theater drinks and meal were wonderful. The cocktail choices were interesting. I highly recommend the Cacoa Commodore which is not sweet as some thought it might be. Check out the menu online. There is something for everyone with a real emphasis on quality not quantity. That being said, all five of us at dinner were barely able to share two desserts at the end with our espressos. They offer some perks for theater goers (parking and discount) that you may want to check out. We will definitely come back again.
The crab soup is amazing! The Burger is phenomenal! Restaurant is gorgeous! Love the big copper lighting.
Great outdoor seating!! The restaurant came highly recommended to us and we will be doing the same for others. Great food. Short, simple but interesting menu.
The Pressroom delivers a quality meal and good service consistently. I am dine there often and I am almost always very happy with the entire experience. I love the decor inside and the waterfall in Steinman Park in the outdoor dining area. There is nothing else like it in Lancaster for outdoor dining. Additionally, the bartenders and wait staff are excellent. The Pressroom is well managed and earns my business with each visit. Love the evenings when they have music too!
This was our second time dining. My dad thoroughly enjoyed the seafood bouillabaisse the first visit so we came back the second time. He ordered the same and was just as pleased.
After the theater dinner
The food and service were great. Nice time after a show at the local theater. Will do this again!
We had a great lunch b4 the Fulton Matinee. Service was outstanding, just wish I could remember our waitress' name!
Dinners were very good but other than sitting in a booth, which are very limited, it lacks the ambiance for many special occasions.
Enjoyed dining outside, food fantastic, Wonderful place for a date night in their outside seating area.
Excellent food, drinks and service. Parking is a bit challenging.
I am annoyed that when I requested an outdoor table via the reservation no one got in touch with to say there is no table service at lunch. Why have the request box if no one reads it or responds?
The view from my seat looked into the kitchen (orders barked to the cook staff could be clearly heard). Watching someone on the staff plate, or maybe check the plating of, the food was a bid odd but not off-putting; just a little different. Food and service were great. One small negative - my first 5 choices of beer were not available and required at least 4 trips to the bar so I just gave up and asked the waitress to pick something she liked. In the end, she made a fine choice so "all's well that ends well". We were rookies to The Pressroom but we'll definitely go back.
Can’t wait to go back. Great place to have dinner before show at The Fulton Theatre. They validate parking ticket from city parking garage.
My sister and I had a great time from the food to the drinks everything was great
My wife and I were celebrating our birthdays. We came in for an early dinner after the theatre. Our server was fantastic. She was friendly, knowledgeable and made our experience fun. We took home leftovers. We are making plans for a future date night. Thank you for the great experience.
The outside courtyard setting was very pleasant for a sunny Sunday brunch; my quiche was uninspired and the microwaved plate was much hotter than the quiche itself. The drink menu was more extensive than the food menu, so go there for drinks and not brunch. I didn't look at the dinner menu; it may be better.
